1 Zaburi mar Daudi. Wer mower gi maskil. Ogwedh ngʼat ma kethone owene, kendo ma richone oseruchi.
[A Psalm] of David, Maschil. Blessed [is he whose] transgression [is] forgiven, [whose] sin [is] covered.
2 Ogwedh ngʼatno ma Jehova Nyasaye ok kwan-ne richone, kendo ma wuondruok onge e chunye.
Blessed [is] the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit [there is] no guile.
3 Kane alingʼ to chokena ne ochiyore, kane achur odiechiengʼ duto ma ok aywe.
When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4 Nikech odiechiengʼ gotieno lweti ne pek kuoma; tekrena ne oduono mana kaka timore e liet mar ndalo oro. (Sela)
For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. (Selah)
5 Eka ne ahulo richona kendo ne ok apando timbena mag ketho. Ne awacho niya, “Abiro hulo ketho chik maga ne Jehova Nyasaye.” Omiyo ne iweyona ketho mane richona okelo. (Sela)
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. (Selah)
6 Kuom mano, owinjore ji duto moluoro Nyasaye olami kapod inyalo yudi; adier ka pige madongo otugore, to ok gibi chopo ire,
For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
7 In e kar pondona; ibiro rita e chandruok, kendo ibiro lwora gi wende mag loch. (Sela)
Thou [art] my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. (Selah)
8 Abiro chiki kendo abiro puonji e yo monego ilu; adier abiro ngʼadoni rieko kendo abiro rangi maber.
I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
9 Kik ichal gi farese kata gi punda, maonge gi rieko, manyaka chiki mana ka otwe dhoge kendo iywayo gi kamba, nono to ok gibi buti.
Be ye not as the horse, [or] as the mule, [which] have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
10 Lit mochomo joma timbegi richo ngʼeny, to (hera) ma ok rum mar Jehova Nyasaye, olworo ngʼat mogeno kuome.
Many sorrows [shall be] to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
11 Beduru moil kuom Jehova Nyasaye, kendo beduru mamor, un joma kare; weruru, un duto ma urieru tir gie chunyu!
Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all [ye that are] upright in heart.
