< Ezekiel 14 >
1 Jodong Israel moko nobiro ira kendo negibet e nyima tir.
Then some of the elders of Israel came and sat down before me.
2 Eka wach Jehova Nyasaye nobirona kama:
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
3 “Wuod dhano, jogi oseketo nyisechegi ma giloso giwegi e chunjegi kendo giseketo rachwany mamiyo ji podho e nyimgi. Bende owinjore koro ayienegi mondo gipenja wach adier?
“Son of man, these men have set up idols in their hearts and put wicked stumbling blocks before their faces. Should I consult with them in any way?
4 Kuom mano, wuo kodgi kendo inyisgi ni, ‘Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: Ka ja-Israel moro amora oketo chunye kuom lamo nyiseche manono kendo oketo rachwany mamiyo ji podho e nyime, bangʼe to odhi ir jakor wach, to an Jehova Nyasaye awuon anadwoke kaluwore gi kethone maduongʼ mar lamo nyiseche ma dhano oloso.
Therefore speak to them and tell them that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘When any Israelite sets up idols in his heart and puts a wicked stumbling block before his face, and then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him according to his great idolatry,
5 Anatim kamano mondo aduog chunje jo-Israel duto moseweya kadhi lamo nyisechegi manono.’
so that I may take hold of the hearts of the people of Israel. For because of their idols, they are all estranged from Me.’
6 “Kuom mano wachne dhood Israel ni, Ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: Lokreuru! Wereuru gi nyisecheu muloso kendo kwedreuru gi timbeu mamono duto!
Therefore tell the house of Israel that this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘Repent and turn away from your idols; turn your faces away from all your abominations.
7 “Ka ja-Israel moro amora kata ka japiny moro modak e piny Israel opogore koda mi oketo geno kuom lamo nyiseche manono kendo oketo rachwany marach mamiyo ji podho e nyime, bangʼe to odhi ir jakor wach mondo openje wach, to an Jehova Nyasaye awuon ema nadwoke.
For when any Israelite or any foreigner dwelling in Israel separates himself from Me, sets up idols in his heart, and puts a wicked stumbling block before his face, and then comes to the prophet to inquire of Me, I the LORD will answer him Myself.
8 Anabed mamon kode mi akete kaka ranyisi misiemogo joma ochaya. Abiro ngʼado kare oko e dier joga. Eka unungʼe ni An e Jehova Nyasaye.
I will set My face against that man and make him a sign and a proverb; I will cut him off from among My people. Then you will know that I am the LORD.
9 “‘Kendo ka achiel kuom jokor wachgo okoro wach moro, to an Jehova Nyasaye abiro rundo pache, ma wachneno ok notimre, kendo anatiek jakor wachno mi agole kuom joga ma jo-Israel.
But if the prophet is enticed to speak a message, then it was I the LORD who enticed him, and I will stretch out My hand against him and destroy him from among My people Israel.
10 Kethogi nobed e wigi giwegi, jakor wach nokwan ni jaketho mana kaka ngʼama odhi ire mondo okorne wach bende jaketho.
They will bear their punishment—the punishment of the inquirer will be the same as that of the prophet—
11 Eka jo-Israel ok nochak obar mi weya kendo ok ginidwanyre gi richogi duto kendo. Ginibed joga to an anabed Nyasachgi, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto Osewacho.’”
in order that the house of Israel may no longer stray from Me and no longer defile themselves with all their transgressions. Then they will be My people and I will be their God, declares the Lord GOD.’”
12 Wach Jehova Nyasaye nobirona kama:
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
13 Wuod dhano, ka piny moro otimona richo kuom bedo joma ok jo-ratiro kendo; ka arieyo bada kuomgi mi angʼado oko chiembgi mapile, mi aoro kech kuomgi kendo anego joge kaachiel gi jambgi,
“Son of man, if a land sins against Me by acting unfaithfully, and I stretch out My hand against it to cut off its supply of food, to send famine upon it, and to cut off from it both man and beast,
14 to kata dine bed ni ji adekgi ema bedie, Nowa, Daniel kod Ayub to digires mana ngimagi giwegi nikech timbegi makare, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto osewacho.
then even if these three men—Noah, Daniel, and Job—were in it, their righteousness could deliver only themselves, declares the Lord GOD.
15 “Kata kapo ni aoro le mager e pinyno mi giweye maonge nyithindo, mi pinyno olokore thim motwo ma dhano ok nyal kadhoe nikech le magergo,
Or if I send wild beasts through the land to leave it childless and desolate, with no man passing through it for fear of the beasts,
16 to akwongʼora gi Nyinga awuon an Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto ni kata dabed ni ji adekgi ni e iye, to ok digires kata mana ngima yawuotgi kata nyigi giwegi. Gin kendgi ema noresgi, to piny to noketh chuth.
then as surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, even if these three men were in it, they could not deliver their own sons or daughters. They alone would be delivered, but the land would be desolate.
17 “Kata kapo ni aoro ligangla mondo oketh pinyno duto kendo anego jogi machwo kaachiel gi le ma gipidho,
Or if I bring a sword against that land and say, ‘Let a sword pass through it,’ so that I cut off from it both man and beast,
18 to mana kaka antie an Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto ni kata dabed ni ji adekgi ni e iye, to ok digires kata mana ngima yawuotgi kata dine bed ni adekgi ni e iye, to ok digires kata mana ngima yawuotgi kata mar nyigi giwegi. Gin kendgi ema noresgi.
then as surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, even if these three men were in it, they could not deliver their own sons or daughters. They alone would be delivered.
19 “Kata kapo ni aoro dera e pinyno kendo aolo mirimba kuome, ka anego ji gi le duto modakie,
Or if I send a plague into that land and pour out My wrath upon it through bloodshed, cutting off from it both man and beast,
20 to mana kaka antie an Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto ni kata dine bed ni Nowa gi Daniel kod Ayub ni e iye, to ok digires kata mana ngima yawuotgi kata mar nyigi giwegi. Ginires mana ngimagi giwegi nikech timgi makare.
then as surely as I live, declares the Lord GOD, even if Noah, Daniel, and Job were in it, they could not deliver their own sons or daughters. Their righteousness could deliver only themselves.
21 “Kuom mano ma e gima Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto wacho: Mano kaka nobed marach moloyo kuom Jerusalem ka anaor kum maga angʼwen ma gin ligangla gi kech, gi le mager kod dera, mondo aneg joge kod le mage duto!
For this is what the Lord GOD says: ‘How much worse will it be when I send against Jerusalem My four dire judgments—sword, famine, wild beasts, and plague—in order to cut off from it both man and beast?
22 Kata kamano, jomoko manok notony midongʼ, ma gin yawuowi gi nyiri ma nogol oko kuomgi. Ginibi iri, kendo ka ineno timbegi gi yoregi, to iniyud hoch kuom masira ma asekelo kuom Jerusalem, ma gin masiche duto masekelo kuome.
Yet, behold, some survivors will be left in it—sons and daughters who will be brought out. They will come out to you, and when you see their conduct and actions, you will be comforted regarding the disaster I have brought upon Jerusalem—all that I have brought upon it.
23 Iniyud hoch ka ineno timbegi gi yoregi, nimar inifweny ni onge gima asetimone maonge gima omiyo, Jehova Nyasaye Manyalo Gik Moko Duto osewacho.”
They will bring you consolation when you see their conduct and actions, and you will know that it was not without cause that I have done all these things within it,’ declares the Lord GOD.”
