ରମିୟ 4
1 ୧ ଆମର୍ ବାବା ଅବ୍ରାଆମର୍ ବିସଇନେଇ କାଇଟା ବଲି କଉଁ? ସେ ଆମର୍ ଜିଉଦି ବଁସର୍ ଆନିଦାଦି ରଇଲା । ସେ କେନ୍ତି ଦରମ୍ ବଲାଇ ଅଇଲା?
WHAT then shall we say that Abraham our father hath obtained by the flesh?
2 ୨ ଜଦି ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ନିଜର୍ କରିରଇବା କାମେଅନି ସେ ପରମେସରର୍ ମୁଆଟେ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲାଇ ଅଇତା, ସେ ବଡ୍ପନ୍ କାତା କଇପାର୍ତା । ମାତର୍ ସେଟା ପରମେସରର୍ ମୁଆଟେ ଅଇ ନାପାରେ ।
For if Abraham was justified by works, he hath cause for glorying; though not before God.
3 ୩ ସାସ୍ତର୍ ଇସାବେ, “ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ପରମେସରର୍ତେଇ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କଲା, ଆରି ଏ ବିସ୍ବାସର୍ ଲାଗି ପରମେସର୍ ତାକେ ଦରମ୍ଲକ୍ ଇସାବେ ନିଜର୍ କଲା ।”
For what doth the scripture say? Abraham truly believed God, and it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Now to him that worketh, the reward is not brought to account as a favour, but as a debt.
5 ୫ ମାତର୍ ଜେ ନିଜର୍ ଉପ୍ରେ ଆସା ନ କରି, ପରମେସରର୍ତେଇ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ସି, ତାର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସର୍ ଲାଗି, ଅପ୍ରାଦର୍ ଦସ୍ ନ ଦାରି ଚାଡିଦେବା ପରମେସର୍, ତାକେ ଦରମ୍ଲକ୍ ଇସାବେ ଡାକ୍ସି ।
But to him who doth not work, but believeth in him who justifieth the ungodly, his faith is reckoned in account for righteousness.
6 ୬ ଜନ୍ ଲକର୍ ରିତିନିତି ନ ଦେକି ପରମେସର୍ ତାକେ ଦରମ୍ଲକ୍ ବଲି ଡାକ୍ସି, ସେନ୍ତାରି ଲକର୍ ବିସଇନେଇ ଦାଉଦ୍ କଇଆଚେ,
As David also describeth the blessedness of that man, to whom God imputeth righteousness without works,
“Blessed are they whose unrighteousnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered up.
Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will in nowise impute sin.”
9 ୯ ଇତି ଦାଉଦ୍ ଜନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ କେଡେ କରମର୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲି କଇଲାଆଚେ, ସେମନର୍ ବିତ୍ରେ କାଇ ଅବ୍କା ସୁନତ୍ ଅଇଲା ଲକ୍ସେ ରଇଲାଇ କି? ନାଇ, ସୁନତ୍ ନ ଅଇଲା ଲକ୍ ମିସା କେଡେ କରମର୍ ଲକ୍ ଅଇପାରତ୍ । ଆମେ କଇଲୁନି ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କଲାକେସେ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ ଇସାବେ ଏଜାଇଅଇଲା,
This blessedness then, is it for the circumcision, or for the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was imputed to Abraham for righteousness.
How then was it imputed to him? when circumcised, or while uncircumcised? Not when circumcised, but whilst uncircumcised.
11 ୧୧ ସୁନତ୍ ଅଇବା ଆଗ୍ତୁ, ଅବ୍ରାଆମର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ଲାଗି ପରମେସର୍ ତାକେ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ ଇସାବେ ଡାକି ରଇଲା । ଏଟା ଜାନାଇବାକେ ଗଟେକ୍ ଚିନ୍ପାରା ଅବ୍ରାମ୍ ଏ ସୁନତ୍ବିଦି କର୍ବାଟା ନାମି ରଇଲା । ଜେନ୍ତାର୍କି ଜନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ସୁନତ୍ ନ ଅଇକରି ମିସା, ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ବାଇ, ସେମନ୍ ଦରମ୍ଲକ୍ ବଲି ଏଜାଇ ଅଇବାଇ । ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ଗାଗଡ୍ ଇସାବେ ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ସେମନର୍ ବାବା ବଲାଇଅଇସି,
And he received the sign of circumcision, as a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had when uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all those who believe, though uncircumcised; that to them also the righteousness might be imputed:
12 ୧୨ ଅବ୍ରାଅମ ସୁନତ୍ ଅଇବା ଆଗ୍ତୁ ବିସ୍ବାସର୍ ଜନ୍ ଚିନ୍ ଦେଇରଇଲା, ଜଦି ସୁନତ୍ ନଇଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ନିଜର୍ ଜିବନେ ସେ ରକାମ୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ଦେକାଇ ପାର୍ବାଇ ବଇଲେ, ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ସେମନର୍ ମିସା ବାବା ।
and the father of circumcision, not to those who are of the circumcision merely, but who also tread in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham, which he exercised while uncircumcised.
13 ୧୩ ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ନିୟମ୍ ମାନ୍ଲାର୍ ପାଇ ନାଇ, ଅବ୍କା ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କଲାର୍ପାଇ ସେ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲି ଏଜାଇଅଇରଇଲା । ଆରି ସେଟାର୍ ପାଇ, ସେ ଆରି ତାର୍ କୁଟୁମର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଜଗତର୍ ଅଦିକାରି ଅଇବାଇ ବଲି ପରମେସର୍ କାତା ଦେଇରଇଲା ।
For not by the law came the promise to Abraham and his seed, that he should be heir of the world, but by the righteousness of faith.
14 ୧୪ ଜନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ନିୟମ୍ ମାନ୍ବାଇ, ଅବ୍କା ସେମନ୍ସେ ଜଦି ପରମେସରର୍ ଦାନ୍ ପାଇବାଇ, ତେବେ ଲକ୍ମନର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ଚୁଚାଇ ଅଇସି । ପରମେସର୍ ଦେଇରଇବା କାତା ମିସା ଚୁଚାଇସେ ।
For if they who are of the law are heirs, faith becomes vain, and the promise is useless:
15 ୧୫ ନିୟମ୍ ନ ମାନ୍ଲାର୍ପାଇ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ପରମେସରର୍ ବଡ୍ ରିସାଇ ପଡ୍ବାଇ । ମାତର୍ ଜନ୍ତି ନିୟମ୍ ନାଇ, ତେଇ ନିୟମ୍ ନ ମାନ୍ବା କାତା ଉଟେ ନାଇ ।
for the law causeth wrath: for where there is no law, neither is there transgression.
16 ୧୬ “ସେଟାର୍ପାଇ ପରମେସର୍ କାତା ଦେଇରଇବାଟା ବିସ୍ବାସର୍ ଲାଗି ରଇସି । ଜନ୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ନିୟମ୍ ମାନ୍ବାଇ, ଅବ୍କା ସେମନର୍ ପାଇସେ ପରମେସର୍ କାତା ଦେଏ ନାଇ । ଅବ୍ରାଆମର୍ ପାରା ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ତେ ରଇବା ସବୁର୍ ପାଇ ସେଟା ଲଡା । କାଇକେବଇଲେ ଅବ୍ରାମ୍ ସେମନର୍ ଆତ୍ମା ଇସାବେ ରଇବା ବାବା ।”
Therefore it is by faith, that it might be of grace; in order that the promise might be secured to all the seed; not only to that which is of the law, but to that which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
17 ୧୭ ଏ ବିସଇ ସାସ୍ତରେ ଲେକାଆଚେ “ତକେ ଆମେ ସବୁ ବଁସର୍ ବାବା କରିଆଚୁ ।” ପରମେସରର୍ ଇସାବେ ଏ କାତା ଦେଲାଟା ଟିକ୍ ରଇଲା, କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ଜନ୍ ପରମେସର୍କେ ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କର୍ତେ ରଇଲା, ସେ ପର୍ମେସରର୍ ବାକିଅ ମଲା ଲକ୍ମନ୍କେ ଜିବନ୍ କର୍ସି ଆରି କାଇଟା ନଇଲାତେଇଅନି ସବୁ ବିସଇ ତିଆର୍ କର୍ସି ।
(as it is written “that I have constituted thee father of many nations,”) before God, in whom he trusted, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth things that are not as if existing.
18 ୧୮ ଆସା କର୍ବାକେ କାଇଟା ନ ରଇଲେ ମିସା, ଅବ୍ରାଆମ୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କରି ଆସାଅଇ ରଇଲା । ସେଟାର୍ ପାଇ ସେ ସବୁ ବଁସର୍ ବାବା ଅଇଲା, କାଇକେ ବଇଲେ ସେ ସାସ୍ତରେଅନି କାତା ମିଲାଇରଇଲା, “ତାର୍ କୁଟୁମର୍ ଲକ୍ମନ୍ ଏଜି ନାପାର୍ବା ଆକାସର୍ ତାରାପାରା ଅଇବାଇ ।”
Who contrary to hope, in hope believed, that he should be the father of many nations, according to what was said, “So shall thy seed be.”
19 ୧୯ ତାକେ ସେଡ୍କିବେଲେ ସଏ ବରସ୍ ଅଇରଇଲା । ମାତର୍ ତାକର୍ ମଲାପାରା ଗାଗଡର୍ କାତା ବାବି, କି ସାରା ଜେକି ଆରି ପିଲା ପାଇ ନାପାରେ, ଏ କାତା ଜାନିକରି ମିସା, ତାକର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ ଉନା ଅଏନାଇ ।
And not being weak in faith, he regarded not his own body now deadened, being about an hundred years old, nor the deadness of Sarah’s womb:
20 ୨୦ ସେ ତାର୍ ବିସ୍ବାସେଅନି ବିନେ ବେଗ୍ଲେ ନାଇ, କି ପରମେସର୍ ଦେଇରଇବା କାତା ଅଇସି କି ନଏଁ ବଲି କଏନାଇ । ସେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କରି ବପୁ ସଙ୍ଗ୍ ପୁରାପୁରୁନ୍ ଅଇଲା ଆରି ସେ ପରମେସର୍କେ ଡାକ୍ପୁଟା କଲା ।
for he disputed not against the promise of God with unbelief; but was mighty in faith, giving glory to God;
and enjoyed the fullest assurance, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Now it was not written for his sake only, that it was imputed to him;
24 ୨୪ ସେଟା ଆମର୍ପାଇ ମିସା ଲେକାଅଇଆଚେ । ଆମେ ମିସା ପରମେସର୍କେ ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କଲେ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ ବଲି ଏଜାଇଅଇବୁ । ସେ ମାପ୍ରୁ ଜିସୁକେ ମଲାତେଇଅନି ଆରି ତରେକ୍ ଜିବନ୍ କରି ଉଟାଇଲା ଆଚେ ବଲି ବିସ୍ବାସ୍ କଲୁନି ।
but also for our sakes, to whom it will be imputed, if we believe in him who raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;
25 ୨୫ ମାପ୍ରୁ ଜିସୁ ଆମର୍ ପାପର୍ ଲାଗି ମରିରଇଲା ଆରି ପରମେସରର୍ତେଇ ଆମ୍କେ ଦରମ୍ ଲକ୍ କରାଇବାକେ ଆରି ତରେକ୍ ଜିବନ୍ ଅଇ ଉଟ୍ଲା ।
who was delivered up for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
