Salme 15

1 En Psalme af David. Herre, hvo skal være til Herberge i dit Paulun? hvo skal bo paa dit hellige Bjerg?

“A psalm of David.” Lord, who may sojourn in thy tent? who may dwell on thy holy mount?

2 Den, som vandrer i Oprigtighed og gør Retfærdighed og taler Sandhed i sit Hjerte;

He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart;

3 som ikke bagtaler med sin Tunge, ikke gør sin Næste ondt og ikke driver Spot med sin nærmeste;

That uttereth no calumny with his tongue, that doth no evil to his neighbor, and bringeth no reproach on his fellow-man;

4 i hvis Øjne den ugudelige er foragtet, men som ærer dem, som frygte Herren; den, som har svoret sig til Skade og ikke vil forandre det;

In whose eyes the despicable is despised; but that honoreth those who fear the Lord; that sweareth to his own injury, and changeth not;

5 den, som ikke sætter sine Penge ud imod Aager og ikke tager Gave imod en uskyldig; hvo disse Ting gør, skal ikke rokkes evindelig.

That putteth not out his money for interest, and taketh no bribe against the innocent. He that doth these things shall not be moved to eternity.
