Filipským 1

1 Pavel a Timoteus, služebníci Ježíše Krista, všechněm svatým v Kristu Ježíši, kteříž jsou v městě Filippis, s biskupy a s jáhny:

Paul and Timothy servants of Christ Jesus To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are being in Philippi with [the] overseers and deacons:

2 Milost vám a pokoj od Boha Otce našeho a Pána Jezukrista.

Grace to you and peace from God Father of us and [the] Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Děkuji Bohu mému, když se koli na vás rozpomenu,

I thank the God of mine upon every the remembrance of you

4 (Vždycky při každé modlitbě mé, s radostí za všecky za vás prosbu čině, )

always in every supplication of mine for all of you with joy the supplication making

5 Z vašeho účastenství v evangelium, hned od prvního dne až posavad,

for the partnership of you in the gospel from (the *no*) first day until now;

6 Jist jsa tím, že ten, kterýž začal v vás dílo dobré, dokoná až do dne Ježíše Krista,

having been persuaded of [the] very thing this, that the [One] having begun in you a work good will complete [it] until [the] day of Christ Jesus;

7 Jakož jest mi spravedlivé tak smysliti o všech vás proto, že vás v srdci mám i v vězení mém, a v obraňování i v utvrzování evangelium, vás, pravím, všecky účastníky milosti mně dané.

Even as it is right for me myself this to feel about all of you since having I in the heart you, in both the chains of mine and in the defense and in confirmation of the gospel fellow partakers with me of grace all you are.

8 Svědek mi jest zajisté Bůh, kterak po všech po vás toužím v srdci Ježíše Krista.

Witness for of mine (is *k*) God how I long after all you in [the] affection of Christ Jesus.

9 A za to se modlím, aby láska vaše ještě více a více se rozhojňovala v známosti a ve všelikém smyslu,

And this I pray, that the love of you yet more and more may abound in knowledge and in all discernment

10 K tomu, abyste zkušením rozeznati mohli užitečné věci od neužitečných, tak abyste byli upřímí a bez úrazu, až ke dni Kristovu,

for to approve you the [things] being excellent, so that you may be pure and blameless unto [the] day of Christ

11 Naplněni jsouce ovocem spravedlnosti, kteréž nesete skrze Jezukrista, k slávě a k chvále Boží.

filled (with [the] fruit *N(K)O*) of righteousness (that [is] *N(k)O*) through Jesus Christ to [the] glory and praise of God.

12 Chciť pak, bratří, abyste věděli, že to pokušení, kteréž mne obklíčilo, k většímu prospěchu evangelium přišlo,

To know now you I want, brothers, that the [things] concerning me myself really to [the] advancement of the gospel have turned out,

13 Takže vězení mé pro Krista rozhlášeno jest po všem císařském dvoře, i jinde všudy.

so as for the chains of mine clearly known in Christ to have become in all the palace guard and to the rest all

14 A mnozí z bratří v Pánu, spolehše na vězení mé, hojnější smělost mají bez strachu mluviti slovo Boží.

and most of the brothers in [the] Lord already trusting by the chains of mine more abundantly to dare fearlessly the word (of the God *O*) to speak.

15 Někteří zajisté jen z závisti a navzdoru, někteří pak také z oblíbení sobě toho Krista káží.

Some indeed even from envy and strife, some however also from goodwill Christ are proclaiming.

16 Ti pak, kteříž navzdoru Krista zvěstují, ne v čistotě, domnívají se, že mi k vězení mému soužení přidadí;

the [ones] indeed out of love knowing that for defense of the gospel I am appointed;

17 Kteří pak z lásky, ti vědí, že jsem k obraně evangelium postaven.

the [ones] however out of selfish ambition Christ are proclaiming not purely supposing tribulation (to add *N(k)O*) to the chains of mine.

18 Ale což pak o to? Nýbrž jakýmkoli způsobem, buď v samé tvárnosti, buď v pravdě Kristus se zvěstuje, i z tohoť se raduji, a ještě radovati budu.

What then? Only (that *no*) in every way whether in pretext or in truth Christ is proclaimed, And in this I rejoice Yes and I will rejoice.

19 Neboť vím, že mi to přijde k spasení skrze vaši modlitbu a pomoc Ducha Jezukristova,

I know for that this for me will turn out to deliverance through your prayer and [the] provision of the Spirit of Jesus Christ

20 Podle pečlivého očekávání a naděje mé, že v ničemž nebudu zahanben, ale ve vší doufanlivé smělosti, jako i prve vždycky, tak i nyní veleben bude Kristus na těle mém, buďto skrze život, buďto skrze smrt.

according to the earnest expectation and hope of mine that in no [thing] I will be ashamed but in all boldness as always also now will be magnified Christ in the body of mine, whether through life or through death.

21 Mně zajisté Kristus i v životě i v smrti ziskem jest.

To me myself for to live [is] Christ and to die [is] gain.

22 Jest-li mi pak prospěšněji živu býti v těle pro práci, tedy nevím, co bych vyvolil.

If [I am] however to live in flesh, this for me [is the] fruit of labor; And what will I choose Not I know!

23 K obémuť se k tomu nakloňuji, žádost maje umříti, a býti s Kristem, což by mnohem lépe bylo,

I am pressed (now *N(k)O*) between the two, the desire having for [myself] to depart and with Christ to be, very much (for *no*) more better;

24 Ale pozůstati ještě v těle potřebněji jest pro vás.

but to remain in the flesh [is] more necessary for the sake of you.

25 Načež spoléhaje, vím, že pobudu a s vámi se všemi spolu pozůstanu k vašemu prospěchu a k radosti víry,

And this having been persuaded of I know that I will remain and (will continue *N(k)O*) with all of you for your progress and joy of the faith,

26 Aby se vaše ze mne chlouba v Kristu Ježíši rozhojnila, skrze mou opět vám zase přítomnost.

so that the boasting of you may abound to Christ Jesus in me myself through my coming again to you.

27 Toliko, jakž sluší na účastníky evangelium Kristova, se chovejte, abych, buďto přijda k vám a vida vás, buďto vzdálen jsa, slyšel o vás, že stojíte v jednom duchu, jednomyslně pracujíce u víře evangelium,

Only worthily of the gospel of Christ do conduct yourselves, so that whether having come and having seen you or being absent (I shall hear *N(k)O*) the [things] concerning you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel,

28 A v ničemž se nestrachujte protivníků, což jest jim jistým znamením zahynutí, vám pak spasení, a to od Boha.

and not being frightened in nothing by those opposing [you]; which is to them (indeed *k*) a demonstration of destruction, (to you *N(k)O*) however of salvation, and this from God;

29 Nebo vám jest to z milosti dáno pro Krista, abyste netoliko v něho věřili, ale také pro něj i trpěli,

For to you it has been granted concerning Christ, not only in Him to believe, but also concerning Him to suffer

30 Týž boj majíce, jakýž jste při mně i viděli, i nyní o mně slyšíte.

the same conflict having such as (you saw *N(k)O*) in me myself and now you hear of in me myself.
