Lukáš 18
1 Pověděl jim také i podobenství, kterak by potřebí bylo vždycky se modliti a neoblevovati,
And He spake also a parable to them, to shew that men ought always to pray, and not to faint:
2 Řka: Byl jeden soudce v městě jednom, kterýž se Boha nebál a člověka nestyděl.
saying, There was a judge in a certain city, who neither feared God, nor regarded man.
3 Byla pak vdova jedna v témž městě. I přišla k němu, řkuci: Pomsti mne nad protivníkem mým.
And there was a widow in that city, who came to him, saying, Do me justice of my adversary.
4 A on nechtěl za dlouhý čas. Ale potom řekl sám v sobě: Ač se Boha nebojím, a člověka nestydím,
And he would not for a time: but afterwards he said within himself, Though I fear not God,
5 Však že mi pokoje nedá tato vdova, pomstím jí, aby naposledy přijduci, neuhaněla mne.
nor regard man, yet because this widow gives me trouble, I will do her justice, least by continually coming she weary me out.
6 I dí Pán: Slyšte, co praví soudce nepravý.
And the Lord said, hear what even the unjust judge saith:
7 A což by pak Bůh nepomstil volených svých, volajících k němu dnem i nocí, ačkoli i prodlévá jim?
and will not God do justice for his elect that cry to Him day and night, though He bear long with them.
8 Pravímť vám, žeť jich brzo pomstí. Ale když přijde Syn člověka, zdaliž nalezne víru na zemi?
I tell you, He will avenge them speedily. And yet when the Son of man cometh, shall He find faith in the land?
9 I řekl také k některým, kteříž v sebe doufali, že by spravedliví byli, jiných sobě za nic nevážíce, podobenství toto:
And He spake also this parable to some that trusted in themselves as being righteous, and despised others.
10 Dva muži vstupovali do chrámu, aby se modlili, jeden farizeus a druhý publikán.
Two men went up to the temple to pray; the one a pharisee and the other a publican.
11 Farizeus stoje soukromí, takto se modlil: Bože, děkuji tobě, že nejsem jako jiní lidé, dráči, nespravedliví, cizoložníci, aneb jako i tento publikán.
The pharisee standing by himself prayed thus, O God, I thank thee that I am not as other men are, rapacious, unjust, adulterous, or even as this publican.
12 Postím se dvakrát do téhodne, desátky dávám ze všech věcí, kterýmiž vládnu.
I fast twice a week, and I give tithes of all that I possess.
13 Publikán pak zdaleka stoje, nechtěl ani očí k nebi pozdvihnouti, ale bil se v prsy své, řka: Bože, buď milostiv mně hříšnému.
But the publican standing at a distance did not presume so much as to lift up his eyes to heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, O God, be merciful to me a sinner.
14 Pravímť vám: Odšel tento, ospravedlněn jsa, do domu svého, a ne onen. Nebo každý, kdož se povyšuje, bude ponížen; a kdož se ponižuje, bude povýšen.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for whoever exalteth himself shall be abased, but he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
15 Přinášeli také k němu i nemluvňátka, aby se jich dotýkal. To viděvše učedlníci, přimlouvali jim.
And they brought to Him infants also, that He might touch them: and his disciples seeing it rebuked them.
16 Ale Ježíš svolav je, řekl: Nechte dítek, ať jdou ke mně, a nebraňte jim, nebo takovýchť jest království Boží.
But Jesus called them to Him and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.
17 Amen pravím vám: Kdož by koli nepřijal království Božího jako dítě, nevejdeť do něho.
Verily I tell you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child shall by no means enter into it.
And a certain ruler asked Him, saying, Good master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? (aiōnios g166)
19 I řekl jemu Ježíš: Co mne nazýváš dobrým? Žádný není dobrý, než sám toliko Bůh.
And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is God.
20 Však umíš přikázání: Nezcizoložíš, nezabiješ, nepokradeš, nepromluvíš křivého svědectví, cti otce svého i matku svou.
Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.
21 On pak řekl: Toho všeho ostříhal jsem od své mladosti.
And he said, all these have I kept from my youth.
22 Slyšav to Ježíš, řekl mu: Ještěť se jednoho nedostává. Všecko, což máš, prodej, a rozdej chudým, a budeš míti poklad v nebi, a pojď, následuj mne.
But when Jesus heard these things He said unto him, Thou yet wantest one thing, Sell all that thou hast, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.
23 On pak uslyšav to, zarmoutil se; byl zajisté bohatý velmi.
But when he heard this, he was very sorrowful; for he was very rich.
24 A viděv jej Ježíš zarmouceného, řekl: Aj, jak nesnadně ti, kdož statky mají, do království Božího vejdou!
And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, He said, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God?
25 Snáze jest zajisté velbloudu skrze jehelnou dírku projíti, nežli bohatému vjíti do království Božího.
For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.
26 Tedy řekli ti, kteříž to slyšeli: I kdož může spasen býti?
And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved?
27 A on dí jim: Což jest nemožného u lidí, možné jest u Boha.
But He answered, Things impossible with men are possible with God.
28 I řekl Petr: Aj, my opustili jsme všecko, a šli jsme za tebou.
Then said Peter, Behold, we have quitted all, and followed Thee.
29 On pak řekl jim: Amen pravím vám, že není žádného, kterýž by opustil dům, neb rodiče, neb bratří, neb manželku, nebo dítky, pro království Boží,
And He said unto them, Verily I tell you, there is no one that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God,
31 Tedy pojav Ježíš dvanácte, řekl jim: Aj, vstupujeme do Jeruzaléma, a naplníť se všecko to, což psáno jest skrze Proroky o Synu člověka.
And He took the twelve with Him and said to them, Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all things written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.
32 Nebo vydán bude pohanům, a bude posmíván, a zlehčen i uplván.
For He shall be delivered to the Gentiles, and insulted, and abused, and spit upon, and they will scourge Him, and put Him to death:
33 A ubičujíce, zamordují jej, ale on třetího dne z mrtvých vstane.
and the third day He shall rise again.
34 Oni pak tomu nic nerozuměli, a bylo slovo to skryto před nimi, aniž věděli, co se pravilo.
But they understood none of these things; and this matter was hid from them, so that they knew not the things which were spoken.
35 I stalo se, když se přibližoval k Jericho, slepý jeden seděl podle cesty, žebře.
And as he was near to Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the way-side begging.
36 A slyšev zástup pomíjející, otázal se, co by to bylo?
And hearing a multitude passing by, he asked what it meant.
37 I oznámili jemu, že Ježíš Nazaretský tudy jde.
And they told him, Jesus of Nazareth is coming by.
38 I zvolal, řka: Ježíši, synu Davidův, smiluj se nade mnou!
And he cried out, saying, Jesus, thou son of David, have compassion on me.
39 A ti, kteříž napřed šli, přimlouvali mu, aby mlčal. Ale on mnohem více volal: Synu Davidův, smiluj se nade mnou!
And they, that went before, rebuked him, that he might hold his peace, but he cried out the more, O Son of David, have pity on me.
40 Tedy zastaviv se Ježíš, rozkázal ho k sobě přivésti. A když se přibližoval, otázal se ho,
So Jesus stopt, and ordered him to be brought to Him: and when he was come near,
41 Řka: Co chceš, ať tobě učiním? On pak dí: Pane, ať vidím.
He asked him, saying, What wouldst thou that I should do for thee? And he said, Lord, that I may recover my sight.
42 A Ježíš řekl jemu: Prohlédni. Víra tvá tě uzdravila.
And Jesus said unto him, Receive thy sight: thy faith hath saved thee.
43 A ihned prohlédl, a šel za ním, velebě Boha. A všecken lid viděv to, vzdal chválu Bohu.
And immediately he received his sight, and followed Him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God.
