1 Uneji che Paolo nduna ju Che Yesu Kilisito kwa usache wa Akunnungu, ndili pamo ni nlongo njetu che Timoseo. Ngunnembela ŵanyamwe ŵandu ŵa Akunnungu unkwakulupilila Kilisito ŵanli ku Kolinto pamo ni ŵandu wose ŵa Akunnungu ŵaali ku Akaya kose.
Paul, apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and brother Timothy, to the church of God that is in Corinth, together with all the saints throughout Achaia:
2 Tukwaŵenda Akunnungu Atati ŵetu ni Ambuje Che Yesu Kilisito ampe ntuuka ni chitendewele.
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and Sovereign Jesus Christ.
3 Alapikwe Akunnungu ŵaali Atati ŵa Ambuje ŵetu Che Yesu Kilisito ni Atati ŵaali ni chanasa ni Akunnungu ŵa utulasyo wose.
All praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and God of all encouragement,
4 Akunnungu akututulasya mitima mmalagasyo gose kuti noweji tukombole kwatulasya mitima aŵala ŵaali mmalagasyo gagaligose. Tukwatulasya mitima mpela ŵelewo iŵatite pakututulasya uwe.
who encourages us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to encourage those who are in whatever affliction, by means of the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged by God.
5 Mpela ila igakuti kupunda kukwetu malagasyo kwaligongo lya kwatumichila Kilisito, iyoyopeyo ni itukuti kutulaswa kwannope ni Kilisito.
Because just as the sufferings of the Christ flow over into us, so also our encouraging overflows, through Christ.
6 Iŵaga uwe tukulagaswa, tukulagaswa kuti ŵanyamwe ntulaswe mitima ni kukulupuswa. Pane iŵaga tukutulaswa mitima, ŵanyamwe nkutulaswa mitima iyoyopeyo ni kupata machili gakunkombolesya kugapililila malagasyo galagala gatukugapililila.
Now then, if we are afflicted, it is for the sake of your encouragement and deliverance, that are effective for enduring the same sufferings that we also are suffering
7 Kwayele chilolelo chatulinacho kukwenu chili chakulimba, pakuŵa tukuimanyilila kuti mwaŵaga noweji mmalagasyo chinchiŵa pamo noweji mu kutulaswa kwetu.
(yes, our hope concerning you is steadfast); if we are encouraged, it also is for the sake of your encouragement and deliverance, since we know that you will share in the encouragement just as you do in the sufferings.
8 Achalongo achinjetu tukusaka kummanyisya kulaga kwatwalasile ku chilambo cha Asia, pakuŵa kulaga ko kwagapundile machili getu ni kwichila mwakupwa mitima ja kupunda kukola umi.
And so, brothers, we do not want you to be in ignorance concerning the affliction that came upon us in Asia: we were under extreme pressure, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even of life.
9 Isyene mmitima jetu twaganisisye kuti tuli mpela ŵalamulikwe kuulagwa. Yakopochele yeleyo kuti tukagakulupilila machili getu twachinsyene nambo twakulupilile Akunnungu ŵakwasyusya ŵandu ŵawile.
Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, so that we not place confidence in ourselves, but in the God who raises the dead;
10 Ŵelewo ŵatukulupwisye mmalagasyo gala gagasachile kutuulaga ni chapunde kutukulupusya. Noweji tukwalolela ŵelewo kuti chatukulupusye sooni.
He did deliver us from that deadly peril, and still delivers; in whom we trust that He will keep on delivering,
11 Ŵanyamwe nkutukamusya uwe kwakutupopelela. Nipele Akunnungu chagajanje mapopelo genu ni chatupe upile, ni ŵandu achajinji chiŵatogolele Akunnungu kwaligongo lyetu.
you also adding your cooperation in prayer, on our behalf; that thanks may be given by many persons for the gift bestowed on us by means of many, on your behalf.
12 Uweji tukulifunila chindu chimo, miningwa jetu jikutuŵalanjila kuti utame wetu pachilambo pano nnopennope ni ŵanyamwe kutama kwauswela ni ntima wambone utupegwilwe ni Akunnungu. Nganitutenda yeleyo kwa lunda lwa chiundu nambo kwa ntuuka wa Akunnungu.
Now this is our boast: the testimony of our conscience that we have conducted ourselves in the world with openness and godly sincerity, not by fleshly wisdom but by the grace of God, and especially toward you.
13 Tukunnembela ŵanyamwe indu yankukombola kusyoma ni kuimanyilila. Ngulolela chinnyimanyilile yambone,
For we do not write you any other things than what you can read and understand; and I do hope that you will keep on understanding to the end
14 nachiŵamuno sambano nkutumanyilila kanandi, nipele pa lyuŵa lichauje Ambuje chinlifune kwaligongo lyetu ni uweji yachitujile pa kulifuna kwaligongo lyenu.
(as indeed some of you have acknowledged) that we are your boast, just as you are ours, in the day of the Lord Jesus.
15 Isyene naliji ni chele chilolelo, nasachile kaje kwika kukwenu kuti nkole upile kwa kumona une kaaŵili.
It was in this confidence that I was planning to come by you first,
16 Ngulapilila kupitila kukwenu ndili ngwaula kuchilambo cha ku Makedonia ni pakuuja, kuti mungamusye mu ulendo wangu wa kwaula ku Yudea.
and by you to proceed into Macedonia, and to come back to you from Macedonia (that you might benefit twice), and then to be sent by you on my way to Judea.
17 Ana panasachile kutenda yeleyo nkuganisya naliji jwagalaukagalauka? Pane inguganisya nguganisya kwa nganisyo sya chiundu pinguti, “Elo,” ni “Ngwamba,” kwakatema kamo?
Now then, when I was deciding this, I was not acting frivolously, was I? Or the things I decide, do I decide according to the flesh, so that with me there would be both “Yes, yes” and “No, no”?
18 Akunnungu ali ŵakukulupilichika, utenga wetu kukwenu ngaŵa liloŵe lyakuti “Elo,” ni “Ngwamba” kwakatema kamo.
As God is faithful, our word to you was not “Yes” and “No”,
19 Pakuŵa Mwana jwa Akunnungu, Che Yesu Kilisito, jutwanlalichilaga kukwenu une ni che Siluwano ni che Timoseo, nganaŵa mundu jwa “Elo” ni “Ngwamba,” kwakatema kamo, nambo moŵa gose ali “Elo” ja Akunnungu.
because the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was proclaimed among you by us—by me and Silvanus and Timothy—was not “Yes” and “No”. In fact, with Him it has always been “Yes”,
20 Pakuŵa ilanga yose ya Akunnungu kwa litala li Che Yesu Kilisito ikuŵa “Elo”. Kwa ligongo lyo tukuti “Eloo” kwa litala lya ŵelewo kwa kwakusya Akunnungu.
because all the promises of God in Him are “Yes”; indeed, in Him they are “Amen”, that there be glory to God through us.
21 Akunnungu nsyene ni ŵakutulimbisya uwe ni ŵanyamwe mkulumbikana ni Kilisito. Ni uŵatusagwile,
Now He who establishes us together with you into Christ, and who anointed us, is God,
22 atupele Mbumu jwakwe mmitima jetu aŵe chimanyisyo chachikulosya kuti tuli ŵandu ŵakwe, nombewo aŵele poni kwa indu yose yaatugosele.
who also sealed us and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
23 Akunnungu ali jwaumboni jwangu, ŵelewo akuumanyilila mtima wangu. Uneji naamwiwe ninaiche sooni ku Kolinto kukunsupusya kwakunsalila maloŵe gakalipa.
For my part, I call on God as witness, upon my soul, that it was to spare you that I have not yet returned to Corinth.
24 Ngatukusaka kunkanganichisya nkati aila inkuikulupilila, pakuŵa tukwimanyilila kuti nli ŵakulimba mu chikulupi chenu, nambo tukupanganya masengo pamo ni ŵanyamwe ligongo lya kusengwa kwenu.
(Not that we have control over your faith, but we work with you for your joy, for it is by faith that you stand firm.)
