詩篇 55
1 達味訓誨歌，交與槳官。 天主，求你側耳傾聽我的祈禱，求你不要迴避我的哀告。
To the chief Musician. On stringed instruments: an instruction. Of David. Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
2 求你俯視我，並垂允我，我痛苦憂傷，嘆息悲號：
Attend unto me, and answer me: I wander about in my plaint, and I moan aloud,
3 由於仇敵的叫囂，並因惡人的吵鬧，因加於我的災禍，怒中給我的騷擾，
Because of the voice of the enemy; because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in anger they persecute me.
4 我的心在我胸內焦灼，死亡的恐怖籠罩了我，
My heart is writhing within me, and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
5 驚懼與戰慄侵襲了我，恐怖與煩惱淹沒了我。
Fear and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
6 我於是說：但願我有鴿子般的翅膀，為能飛翔而去，棲身安藏！
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away, and be at rest;
7 看，我必要逃往遠處，在荒涼的地方暫住；
Behold, I would flee afar off, I would lodge in the wilderness; (Selah)
8 從速尋找一個避難所，避過這一場風狂雨暴。
I would hasten my escape from the stormy wind, from the tempest.
9 我主，求你分散擾亂他們的語言，因我在城中只見到鬥爭與紛亂：
Swallow [them] up, Lord; divide their tongue: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
10 他們日夜在城牆上巡行，邪惡與欺壓在城中叢生。
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof; and iniquity and mischief are in the midst of it.
11 城池中已滿布詭計，霸道欺詐橫行街市。
Perversities are in the midst thereof; and oppression and deceit depart not from its streets.
12 若是我的仇人辱罵我，我還可容忍；若是惱恨我者欺凌我，我尚可退隱；
For it is not an enemy that hath reproached me — then could I have borne it; neither is it he that hateth me that hath magnified [himself] against me — then would I have hidden myself from him;
13 可惜是你，我的同僚，我的伙伴，我的友好；
But it was thou, a man mine equal, mine intimate, my familiar friend. ...
14 我們曾經推心置腹，無所諱言，在人群中走進了天主的聖殿。
We who held sweet intercourse together. To the house of God we walked amid the throng.
Let death seize upon them, let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwellings, in their midst. (Sheol h7585)
16 但我卻要呼號天主，上主必定予我救助。
As for me, unto God will I call; and Jehovah will save me.
17 不論在黃昏在清晨或在中午，我哀聲悲嘆，祂必聽我的苦訴。
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray and moan aloud; and he will hear my voice.
18 祂必從迫害我的人中，救我然脫險，因為那些反對我的人，實在眾多難算。
He hath redeemed my soul in peace from the battle against me: for there were many about me.
19 永遠為王的天主必要俯聽我，而把他們趕走，因為他們不知回心轉意，又不知敬愛天主。
God will hear, and afflict them: he that is seated of old, (Selah) ...because there is no change in them, and they fear not God.
20 他們伸手攻擊自己的友好，他們任意訂立違背的盟約。
He hath put forth his hands against such as are at peace with him; he hath profaned his covenant.
21 他們的容貌比奶油更光滑，心卻是好戰；他們的言語比脂粉還柔和，但口蜜腹劍。
Smooth were the milky [words] of his mouth, but his heart was war; his words were softer than oil, yet are they drawn swords.
22 將你的重擔卸交上主，祂必扶持你，祂決對不會讓義人永遠動搖不止。
Cast thy burden upon Jehovah, and he will sustain thee: he will never suffer the righteous to be moved.
23 天主，求你使他們墮入滅亡的深穴！兇手和奸詐的歹徒必定中年夭折。上主，但我卻要時常一心唯你是賴。
And thou, O God, wilt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days. But as for me, I will confide in thee.
