路加福音 8
1 以後，耶穌走遍各城各村講道，宣傳天主國的喜訊，同祂在一起的有那十二們徒，
AND it came to pass afterwards, that he went through every city and village, preaching and publishing the glad tidings of the kingdom of God, and the twelve with him.
2 還有幾個曾附過惡魔或患病而得治好的婦女，有號稱瑪達肋納的瑪利亞，從她身上趕出了七個魔鬼；
And certain women who had been cured of evil spirits and sicknesses, Mary called Magdalene, from whom seven devils had gone out.
3 還有約安納，即黑落德的家宰雇撒的妻子，又有蘇撒納；還有別的許多婦女，她們都用自己的財產資助他們。
And Joanna the wife of Chuza, Herod’s lieutenant-governor, and Susanna, and many others, who ministred to his support out of their possessions.
4 那時，有大夥群眾聚集了來，並有從各城來到耶穌跟前的，祂就用比喻說：
Now when a vast multitude was collected, even those who came to him out of every city, he spake by a parable.
5 「有一個撒種子的，出去撒種子；他撒的時候，有的落在路在路旁，就被踐踏了，並有天的飛鳥把它吃了。
A sower went out to sow his seed; and as he sowed, some fell by the road side, and was trodden under foot, and the birds of the air devoured it up.
6 有的落在路在石頭上，一長起來，就乾枯了，因為沒有濕氣。
And other seed fell on a rock, and vegetating, withered because it had no moisture.
7 有的落在荊棘中，荊棘同它一起畏起來，把它窒息了。
And other seed fell amidst thorns, and the thorns springing up with it, choked it.
8 又有的落在好地裏，長起來，結了百倍的果實。」祂說完這些話，就高呼說：「有耳聽的，就聽吧! 」
And some fell on good ground, and shooting up, produced fruit an hundred fold. So saying, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
9 祂的們徒問祂這比喻有什麼意思。
Then his disciples asked him, saying. What might this parable mean?
10 祂說：「天主國的奧秘，是給你們知道；對於其餘的人，就用比喻，使那看的，卻看不見，聽的，卻聽不懂。
And he said, To you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God; but to the rest in parables: that seeing they may not perceive, and hearing may not comprehend.
11 這比喻的意思是：種子是天主的話。
Now this is the parable: The seed is the word of God.
12 那些在路旁的，是指那人聽了，隨後就有鬼來到，從他們心中把那話奪去，使他們不致信從而得救。
They by the road side, are such as hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh the word from their heart, that they should not be saved in believing.
13 那在石頭上的，是指那些人，他們聽的時候，高興的接受那話，但這些人沒有根，暫時相信，一到試探的時候，就退避了。
And they on the rock, are such as when they have heard, with joy embrace the word; and these have not root, who for a time believe, and in a season of trial apostasize.
14 那落在荊棘中的，是指那些聽了的人，還在中途就被掛慮、錢財及生活的逸樂所蒙蔽，沒有結出成熟的果實。
And that which fell among thorns, are they having heard, and going away, are choked by the cares, and wealth, and pleasures of life, and bring forth no perfect fruit.
15 那在好地裏的，是指那些以善良和誠實的心傾聽的人，他們把這話保存起來，以堅忍結出果實。
But that on the good ground are they who having heard the word, retain it in a heart excellent and good, and bring forth fruit with patience.
16 沒有人點上燈，用器皿遮蓋住，或放在床底下的，而是放在燈台上，為叫進來的人看見光明。
No man lighting a lamp hides it with a cover, or putteth it under a bed, but on a stand, that they who are coming in, may see the light.
17 因為沒有隱藏的事，不成為顯露的；沒有秘密的事，不被知道而公開出來的。
For there is nothing hid which shall not be made manifest, nor concealed, which shall not be known and brought to light.
18 所以，你們要留心要怎樣聽；因為凡有的，還要給他，凡沒有的，連他自以為有的，也要從他奪去。」
Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, even what he seemeth to have shall be taken away from.
19 耶穌的母親和兄弟到祂這裏來了，因為人多，不能與祂相會。
Then came to him his mother and his brethren, and could not come near him because of the crowd.
20 有人告訴祂說：「你的母親和你的兄弟站在在外邊，願意見你。」
And it was told him, saying, Thy mother and thy brethren are standing without, desirous of seeing thee.
21 祂卻回答說：「聽了天主的話而實行的，才是我的母親和兄弟。」
Then he answered and said to them, My mother and my brethren are they, who hear the word of God, and practise it.
22 有一天，耶穌和們徒上了船，對他們說：「我們渡到湖那去。」他們便開了船。
And it came to pass on one of the days, that he went himself into a ship, and his disciples, and said unto them, Let us pass over to the farther side of the lake. And they set fail.
23 正在航行時，他睡著了。忽然有狂風降到湖上，進入船中的水，使他們處於危險中。
And while they were on the passage, he went to sleep: and a hurricane of wind rushed down on the lake; and they were filled with water, and imminent danger.
24 們徒們前來叫醒耶穌，說：「老師! 老師! 我們要喪亡了! 」祂醒起來，叱責了狂風和波浪，風浪就止息平靜了。
Then they came and awoke him, saying, Master, Master, we are perishing. Then arising, he issued his command to the wind, and the billows of water, and they subsided, and there was a calm.
25 遂對他們說：「你們的信德在那裏? 」他們又害怕又驚奇，彼此說：「這人到底是誰? 因為祂一出命，風和水也都服從祂。」
And he said to them, Where is your faith? And they feared and were astonished, saying one to another, Well! what a man is this! that he commands even the winds and the sea, and they obey him.
26 他們航行到革辣撒人的地方，就是加利肋亞的對面。
And they sailed over unto the region of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee.
27 耶穌一上了岸，迎面來了一個那城中附魔的人，他很久不穿衣服，也不住在家裏，而住在墳墓中。
And as he landed, there met him a certain man from the city, who had devils for a long while, and kept no clothes on him, and never abode in a house, but in the tombs.
28 他一看見耶穌，就喊叫起來，跪伏在祂在面前大聲說：「至高天主之子耶穌，我與你有什麼相干? 我求你不要磨難我! 」
But when he saw Jesus, roaring out, he fell down before him, and said with a loud voice, What have I to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God Most High? I pray thee, torment me not.
29 因為祂曾命令邪魔從那人身上出去，原來邪魔已多次抓住他，他曾被鐵鏈和腳鐐捆縳起來，被看管著；他卻掙斷鐵鏈，被魔鬼趕到荒野中。
For he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man; for many times it had seized on him; and though under a guard, and bound with chains and fetters; yet bursting the bonds, he was driven by the devil into the desert places.
30 耶穌問他說：「你叫什麼名字? 」他說：「軍旅。」因為有許多魔鬼進入了他身內。
Then Jesus asked him, saying, What is thy name? and he said, Legion: for many devils were entered into him.
And he besought him that he would not order them to go into the abyss. (Abyssos g12)
32 在那裡有一大群豬在山上牧放著，魔鬼就請求耶穌許他們進入那些豬內；耶穌准許了他們。
Now a herd of many swine was there feeding on the mountain; and they besought him that he would permit them to enter into them. And he permitted them.
33 於是，從那人身上出去，進入豬內，那群豬就從山崖上直衝到湖裏淹死了。
Then the devils going out of the man, entered into the swine; and the herd rushed down a precipice into the lake, and was suffocated.
34 放豬的看見發生的事，就逃去，到城裏和鄉間傳報開了。
But when those who fed them saw what was done they fled, and went and told it in the city and in the country places.
35 人就出來看那發生的事，來到耶穌前，發現脫離魔鬼的那人，穿著衣服，神智清醒，坐在耶穌跟前前；他們就害怕起來，
And they came out to see what had happened; and they came to Jesus, and found the man sitting, from whom the devils were gone out, clothed, and in his sound mind, at the feet of Jesus; and they were afraid.
36 那些見過這事的人就對他們述說：那附魔的人怎樣被治好了。
Then they also who had seen how the demoniac was recovered, told them.
37 革辣撒所有的人民要尸離開他們，因為他們十分恐懼。祂便上船回去。
And the whole multitude of the country around the Gadarenes, entreated him to depart from them; for they were seized with great terror: and he embarked on the vessel, and returned.
38 脫離魔鬼的那人祈求耶穌：要同耶穌在一起；但耶穌打發他回去，說：
And the man out of whom the devils had gone, besought him to be with him; but Jesus sent him away, saying,
39 「你回家去吧！傳述天主為你做了何等大事。」
Return to thy house, and declare what things God hath done for thee. And he went away, and published through the whole city what things Jesus had done for him.
40 耶穌回來時，群眾都迎接祂，因為眾人都在等候祂。
And it came to pass, when Jesus returned, the people welcomed him, for they were all waiting for him.
41 來弓一個人，名叫雅依洛，這人是一個會堂長，跪伏在尸腳前，求祂到自己家中去，
And, behold, there came a man whose name was Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and falling at the feet of Jesus, he entreated him to come to his house;
42 因為他有一個獨生女，約十二歲，快要死了。當耶穌去的時候，眾人都擁擠祂。
for he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying: and as he was going, the multitude thronged him.
43 有一個婦人，十二年來患血漏病，把全部家產都花在醫生身上，卻沒有一個能治好她。
And a woman, who had a flux of blood, for twelve years, who had spent all her substance on physicians, and could not get a cure from any;
44 她來到耶穌後邊摸了摸祂衣服的繸頭，她的血漏立刻就止住了。
coming behind him, touched the fringe of his garment; and instantly the flux of her blood stopped.
45 耶穌說：「誰摸了我? 」人都否認，伯多祿說：「老師，眾人都在擁擠著你! 」
And Jesus said, Who touched me? And when all denied, Peter, and those who were with him, said, Master, the multitudes throng and press thee, and sayest thou, Who hath touched me?
46 耶穌卻說：「有人摸了我，因為我覺得有能力從我身上出去了。」
Then said Jesus, Some person hath touched me, for I know that miraculous power is gone out from me.
47 那婦人看不能隱瞞，就戰戰競競地來跪伏在耶穌跟前，把自己摸祂的緣故和如何立刻病好的事，在眾百姓面前說了出來。
Then the woman seeing she was not hid, came trembling, and falling down before him, declared to him before all the people, for what cause she had touched him; and how she was cured instantaneously.
48 耶穌遂對她說：「女兒，妳的信德救了妳，平安去吧! 」
Then he said unto her, Be of good cheer, daughter, thy faith hath made thee well; go in peace.
49 祂還在話話時，有人從會堂長家裏來說：「你的女兒死了，不必煩勞師傅了。」
And while he was yet speaking, a person came to the ruler of the synagogue, saying to him, Thy daughter is dead, give the master no further trouble.
50 耶穌聽了，就對他說：「不要害怕，只管信，她必得救。」
Then Jesus hearing it, addressed him, saying, Fear not, only believe, and she shall be saved.
51 耶穌到了那家裏，除了伯多祿、若望、雅各伯和女孩子的父母外，不讓任何人同祂進去。
And entering into the house, he suffered no person to come in, but Peter, and James, and John, and the father and mother of the child.
52 眾人都在痛哭哀弔女孩子。祂卻說：「不要哭泣，她並沒有死，只是睡著了。」
Now all were weeping and lamenting her: and he said, Weep not, she is not dead, but asleep.
53 那些明知她己死的人，都譏笑祂。
And they derided him, for they knew that she was dead.
54 耶穌拿起她的手來，喊說：「女孩，起來! 」
And he put them all without, and taking her by the hand, cried, saying, Maid, arise!
55 她的靈魂回來了，她就立起來了。耶穌吩咐給她吃的。
And her spirit returned, and she immediately arose; and he commanded to give her something to eat.
56 她的父母驚訝的出神。耶穌卻警告他們不要傳揚這事。
And her parents were struck with amazement. But he enjoined them to tell no man what was done.
