< Hebru 4 >

1 Hatdawkvah, Cathut e kâhatnae dawk kâen thainae a lawkkam ao nahlangva, nangmouh thung dawk hoi kâen laipalah tami buet touh hai ao hoeh nahanlah kâhruetcuet awh sei.
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left of entering into his rest, any one of you might seem to have failed [of it].
2 Bangkongtetpawiteh, maimouh haiyah ahnimanaw patetvanlah kamthang kahawi hah thai awh toe. Hatei, ahnimouh ni a thai awh e kamthang lawk teh ahnimae thungvah, yuemnae hoi a kâkalawt hoeh dawkvah aphu awmhoeh.
For indeed we have had glad tidings presented to us, even as they also; but the word of the report did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard.
3 Ka yuem e maimanaw teh Cathut e kâhatnae dawk kâen awh. Cakathoung dawk, Ahnimouh teh kaie kâhatnae dawk kâen mahoeh telah ka lungkhuek teh thoe ka bo e patetlah ao. Hatei, athawnaw teh talaivan kamtawng nah a cum e lah ao toe.
For we enter into the rest who have believed; as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, If they shall enter into my rest; although the works had been completed from [the] foundation of [the] world.
4 Asari hnin hoi kâkuen lah, Cathut ni hno pueng koung a cum hnukkhu, asari hnin vah duem a kâhat telah Cakathoung ni hmuen buet touh koe a dei.
For he has said somewhere of the seventh [day] thus, And God rested on the seventh day from all his works:
5 Hahoi, ahnimouh teh kaie kâhatnae dawk kâen awh mahoeh, telah bout a ti.
and in this again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Hatdawkvah, hote kâhatnae thungvah kâen thainae teh, atangawnnaw hanelah ao rah. Lunghawinae kamthang kahawi teh hmaloe ka thai e naw ni a yuem awh hoeh dawkvah kâen awh hoeh toe.
Seeing therefore it remains that some enter into it, and those who first received the glad tidings did not enter in on account of not hearkening to the word,
7 Hatdawkvah, Cathut ni hnin hnin touh hah sahnin telah a dei teh a kum moi asaw hnukkhu, ahmaloe a dei e patetlah sahnin a lawk na thai awh pawiteh, na lungpata sak awh hanh telah Devit hno lahoi a dei.
again he determines a certain day, saying, in David, 'To-day,' after so long a time; (according as it has been said before), To-day, if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 Joshua ni ahnimouh kâhatnae poe katang pawiteh, hat hnukkhu, alouke hnin hah Cathut ni a dei han namaw.
For if Jesus had brought them into rest, he would not have spoken afterwards about another day.
9 Hatdawkvah, Cathut e miphunnaw hanlah kâhatnae phun touh ao rah.
There remains then a sabbatism to the people of God.
10 Bangkongtetpawiteh, Cathut ni athawnaw hah a cum teh duem a kâhat e patetlah Bawipa e kâhatnae dawkvah ka kâen e tami hai thawnaw a cum vaiteh duem a kâhat van han.
For he that has entered into his rest, he also has rested from his works, as God did from his own.
11 Isarel taminaw ni yuemnae lungthin tawn laipalah a tâlaw awh e patetlah maimouh ni tâlaw laipalah hote kâhatnae dawk kâen hanlah kâpanki awh sei.
Let us therefore use diligence to enter into that rest, that no one may fall after the same example of not hearkening to the word.
12 Cathut e lawk teh a hring, tahloi avoivang kahran e hlak a hran. Hringnae hoi muitha, hru kâletlout hoi rakhing totouh a thut teh a racei thai. Lungthin pouknae pueng hai a panue thai.
For the word of God [is] living and operative, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and penetrating to [the] division of soul and spirit, both of joints and marrow, and a discerner of the thoughts and intents of [the] heart.
13 Sak e hnonaw pueng dawkvah Cathut hmalah ka kamnuek hoeh e buet touh boehai awm hoeh. Bangpuengpa teh, Bawipa e hmalah ka ngue e awm laipalah pheng a kamnue. Maimouh pueng teh hote Bawipa ni akung na khei awh han.
And there is not a creature unapparent before him; but all things [are] naked and laid bare to his eyes, with whom we have to do.
14 Atu kalvan kho ka kâen e Vaihma Kacue, Cathut Capa Jisuh teh maimouh koe kalenpounge Vaihma Kacue lah ao dawkvah, maimouh ni yuemnae lawk dawk kacaklah awm awh sei.
Having therefore a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast the confession.
15 Bangkongtetpawiteh, maimouh thayounnae kapanuekkhaikung Vaihma Kacue tawn awh. Ahni teh maimouh patetlah tacueknae aphunphun a kâhmo. Hatei, yonnae tawn hoeh.
For we have not a high priest not able to sympathise with our infirmities, but tempted in all things in like manner, sin apart.
16 Hatdawkvah, maimouh teh a pahrennae hoi a lungmanae naw hah coe awh teh panki nah tueng nah kabawpnae hmu nahanlah lungtang nalaihoi lungmanae bawitungkhung koe rek hnai awh haw sei.
Let us approach therefore with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and find grace for seasonable help.
