< Ezekiel 1 >
1 Juda mi Babylon gam Chebar vadung pang a sohchang ho lah a kana umna kum somle kumthum alhin kum July 31 lhinni achun van ana kihongin chule Pathen thilmu theina chu kana mui.
And it comes to pass, in the thirtieth year, in the fourth [month], on the fifth of the month, and I [am] in the midst of the expulsion by the river Chebar, the heavens have been opened, and I see visions of God.
2 Hiche hi Jehoiachin lengpa asohchan jou kal kum nga lhin kuma chu soh ahi.
In the fifth of the month—it is the fifth year of the expulsion of King Jehoiachin—
3 (Pakaiyin hiche thuhi Buzi chapa Ezekiel thempupa kom a Babylon lenggam Chebar vadung panga aum petna anapeh ahin, chule Pakai khut chu achungah ana kingame)
the word of YHWH has certainly been to Ezekiel son of Buzi the priest, in the land of the Chaldeans, by the river Chebar, and there is on him there a hand of YHWH.
4 Keiman kavet pettah chun Sahlam a kon huipi gopi nasatah ahung kitol kamun, Meilhang lentah masanga kolphe toh kitho a vah pempumin ahunge. Meilom lah a chun meikou aumin, chule meikou lailunga chun khichang tobang meikou vahlap lap aume.
And I look, and behold, a turbulent wind is coming from the north, a great cloud, and fire catching itself, and brightness to it all around, and out of its midst as the color of electrum, out of the midst of the fire.
5 Meilom lailunga kon chun mihem melput tobang thil hing thei li ahung doh e.
And out of its midst [is] a likeness of four living creatures, and this [is] their appearance; a likeness of man [is] to them,
6 Maili leh lhaving li aneiyu tailouvin,
and each had four faces and each of them had four wings,
7 Akeng hou chu ajangpet in, akengphangu chu bongnou keng to abangin alange.
and their feet [are] straight feet, and the sole of their feet [is] as a sole of a calf’s foot, and they are sparkling as the color of bright bronze;
8 Alhaving li noicheh a chun mihem ho khut kamu doh e.
and on their four sides [each had] hands of man under their wings; and [each] of the four had their faces and their wings;
9 Ahingthei ho lhaving ho chu khat le khat akijop jel cheh in ahi. Khat cheh a chu akipat doh teng leh kihei louvin jangpet in masang lam ngan akijot jiuve.
their wings [are] joining to one another, they do not turn around in their going, they each go straight forward.
10 Amasang uva chun mihem mai aneiyun, ajetlang uva chun keipi mai aneiyun, aveilang uva chun bongchal mai aneiyun, chule anung lam uva chun muvanlai mai anei cheh uve.
As for the likeness of their faces, [each had] the face of a man, and toward the right the four had the face of a lion, and on the left the four had the face of an ox, and the four had the face of an eagle.
11 Khat cheh chun lhaving kijal doh kopni cheh aneiyun, kopn khat cheh chu akijal doh teng ganhing achom khat cheh lhaving chutoh akijop mat jel jengin, chule kop khat cheh chun atahsao akhu chah kheh cheh un ahi.
And their faces and their wings dividing from above, of each [are] two joining together, and two are covering their bodies.
12 Amaho chu ipi hijongle lhagaovin alhenpeh nalam ngan ajet aveija kiheidoh lou hellin jangpet in ache pai jeng jiuve.
And they each go straight forward, to where the Spirit is to go, they go, they do not turn around in their going.
13 Ganhing liho chu meihol ampem puma kou abangin, ahilouleh meisel lou vah pempum kide abangin, chule kolphe vah bangin amaho lah a chun aki nungtol akima tollun ahi.
As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearances [are] as coals of fire—burning as the appearance of lamps; it is going up and down between the living creatures, and brightness [is] to the fire, and lightning is going forth out of the fire.
14 Chule ganhing liho chu kolphe vahlap lap bang khun achom le jap jap jeng uvin ahi.
And the living creatures are running, and turning back, as the appearance of the flash.
15 Hitia keiman ganhing liho chu kavetna ahileh leiset chunga chun kangtalai kang ho chu akomuva chun kamun kang khat cheh chu amaho khat cheh a achandiu chu ahi.
And I see the living creatures, and behold, one wheel [is] in the earth, near the living creatures, at its four faces.
16 Kangtalai khat cheh chu hoitah a vahsetna song en tobanga kisemin akimun, liho chu abpn uvin kibang cheh akimun, chule amaho chu kibang cheh a kisem ahiuvin kang khat cheh velkol a chu kangni na aneicheh uve.
The appearance of the wheels and their works [is] as the color of beryl, and the four of them had one likeness, and their appearances and their works [are] as it were the wheel in the midst of the wheel.
17 Hiche ho chu akitol tengule kihei lou hella gamkai li a achu angat na lam lama chu kihei jeng thei ahiuve.
On their four sides, in their going they go, they do not turn around in their going.
18 Hiche kang li ho chu sang tah cheh ahiuvin, chule timul tho aumin, chule akang ho kimvel a chun met jeng mit jeng in atom dimsetne.
As for their rings, they are both high and fearful, and their rings, of the four of them, [are] full of eyes around them.
19 Ganhing ho chu ache tenguleh kangtalai kang ho jong chu amaho toh thakhat'in achekhom jiuvin, chung langa alen tou teng uleh akang ho jong chu ache tou jiuve.
And in the going of the living creatures, the wheels go beside them, and in the living creatures being lifted up from off the earth, the wheels are lifted up.
20 Ganhing ho lhagao chu akang ho a chu uma ahi. Hijeh a chu lhagao chena lam lama chu akang ho le ganhing ho jong che jiu ahi.
To where the Spirit is to go, they go, there the Spirit [is] to go, and the wheels are lifted up alongside them, for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
21 Hiche ho chu ache teng uleh akang ho chu che jiu ahin, hiche ho chu adin teng uleh akang ho kinga ji ahi. Hiche ho chu chung langa alen tou tengu leh akanga chu ganhing ho lhagao uma ahijeh chun akang ho chu akipat doh jiuvin ahi.
In their going, they go; and in their standing, they stand; and in their being lifted up from off the earth, the wheels are lifted up alongside them; for a living spirit [is] in the wheels.
22 Aluvum uva kijal doh chu vanthamjol tobang khat akidalin songvalset vah'in avahsetne.
And over the heads of the living creatures—a likeness of an expanse, as the color of the fearful ice, stretched out over their heads from above.
23 Anoija chun ganhing ho lhavingu chu khat leh khat kijop cheh in akijal doh in chule alhaving ni chun atahsau khat cheh chu akhun ahi.
And under the expanse their wings [are] straight, one toward [its] sister; two [wings] of each are covering them, and two [wings] of each are covering their bodies.

And I hear the noise of their wings, as the noise of many waters, as the noise of the Mighty One, in their going—the noise of tumult, as the noise of a camp, in their standing they let their wings fall.
25 Alhaving u akhailhah uva adin teng uleh vanthamjol tobang valset chunga kon chun o khat in thu ahin seijin ahi.
And there is a voice from above the expanse, that [is] above their head: in their standing they let their wings fall.
26 Achung vum'a chun songval duma kisem laltouna tobang khat akimun ahi. Chule hiche laltouna sangtah chunga kitousah pachu mihem lim leh melput tobang ahi.
And above the expanse that [is] over their head, as an appearance of a sapphire stone, [is] the likeness of a throne, and on the likeness of the throne a likeness, as the appearance of man on it from above.
27 Akongbuh akipat akilah dan chu khichang vala meikou olla kimujap bangin akimun ahi. Chule akongbuh noilamse chu meikou tobang'in akimvel vah pempum bangin akimun ahi.
And I see as the color of electrum, as the appearance of fire all around within it, from the appearance of His loins and upward; and from the appearance of His loins and downward, I have seen as the appearance of fire, and brightness [is] all around Him.
28 Gojuh nikho a meilah a lhagui kimu bang khun avah pempum in ahi. Hiche hi Pakai loupina keiman kamu abangin, keiman hichehi kamu phat in kamai tollah kasulut in ahileh ogin khat in keima koma ogin kkhat anasei chu kajan ahi.
As the appearance of the bow that is in a cloud in a day of rain, so [is] the appearance of the brightness all around.
