< Galatia 4 >
1 Tu in hibang i ci tu hi, tua ngamhlua pa sia na theampo ah to hi napi, patang a hi laiteng theampo, sal taw bangma ki tumdang ngawl hi;
Now as long as the heir is a child, he differeth nothing from a servant, though he is to be lord of all:
2 Ahihang a pa i ciangtan hun a cin dong a keam te le a uk te nuai ah om hi.
but is under guardians and managers till the time appointed by the father.
3 Tasia bangma in eite zong patang i hi lai in, leitung thu kipatna sal hina nuai ah i taang ngei hi:
So we when we were children, were in servitude under the elements of the world:
4 Ahihang a hun a cin ciang in, Pathian in a Tapa hongpaisak a, numei sung pan, thukham nuai ah hong suak hi,
but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son born of a woman made under the law,
5 Tabang in thukham nuai ah a om eite hong tan tu a, ta hina i nga thei natu a hihi.
that He might redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
6 Taciang tapa te nahi uhkom na thinsung uh ah Pathian in a Tapa Thaa hong pia a, Abba, Pa awng, ci in au hi.
And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.
7 Tua ahikom sal na hi nawn bua uh hi, tapa na hi uh hi, taciang tapa nahile, Christ tungtawn in Pathian ngamhlua pa na hihi.
So that thou art no longer a servant, but a son; and if a son, an heir also of God through Christ.
8 Ahizong Pathian na heak uh ma in, Pathian a hi tatak ngawl te i na na seam ngei uh hi.
But then indeed, when ye knew not God, ye served those which in reality are no gods.
9 Ahihang tu in, Pathian na heak zawk uh ciang, a hibale Pathian in note hong heak zawkciang, thaneam, a kipat pan khutdaw ngen te le sal dinmun ah banghang in heakkik nuam nu ziam?
But now that ye know God, or rather are known by God, how is it that ye turn again to the poor weak elements, to which ye desire again to be in bondage as before?
10 Note in ni te, tha te, hun te le kum te na tang uh hi.
Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years:
11 Note atu ka nasepna te sia a mannung ngawl lel a hi tu ka lau mama hi.
so that I am afraid for you, least I have indeed bestowed upon you labour in vain.
12 Suapui te awng, keima bang in om vun, ci in kong thum hi; banghangziam cile keima zong note bangma in ka om hi: note in kei tung ah nong takhial bua uh hi.
Brethren, I beseech you, be as I am; for I also was as ye are: and ye have not injured me at all.
13 Note tung ah amasabel lungdamna thupha ka hil lai in cilesa lam ah natna tungtawn in ka phuang hi, ci na he uh hi.
But ye know that in the infirmity of the flesh I preached the gospel to you at first:
14 Taciang ka pumpi sung ah a om ze-et na sia note in zawngsak in nong nial bua uh hi; ahihang Pathian vantungmi bang in ahizong, Christ Jesus bang in ahizong, nong sang uh hi.
and my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not, nor rejected me for it; but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
15 Tabang ahile na son uh thupha sia koisia ziam? banghangziam cile a suakthei tu hile note in na mittang te dong khel in hong pia nuam nu hi, ci sia keima in tetti ka pang hi.
What then was your blessedness? for I bear you witness that, if it had been possible, ye would have plucked out your own eyes, and have given them to me.
16 Tua ahikom, note thuman kong son hu in na ngal uh suak khi ziam?
And am I become your enemy for telling you the truth?
17 Amate in thalawptak in hong thinbot hi, ahihang tua hong thinbot na sia pha ngawl hi; note in amate na thinbot thei natu uh in a tuam in hong koi nuam uh hi.
They are zealous for you, but not as they ought: for they would exclude us, that ye may be zealous for them:
18 Ahihang note kung ah ka om lai bek hi ngawl in, na pha sung ah a tawntung thalawptak in kideisak sia pha hi.
But it is good to be zealously affected always in that which is good, and not only when I am present with you.
19 Ka tano te awng, nau tun nat thuak bang in kong nei na hi uh a, Christ lim le meal na nei uh dong nau tun nat ka thuak lai tu hi,
My little children, of whom I do as it were travail in birth again,
20 Tu in ka aw sua lai tu in note kung ah ka om nuam hi; banghangziam cile note kong muan ngawl hang a hihi.
till Christ be formed in you, I should be glad to be present with you even now, and to change my voice; for I am in doubt about you.
21 No thukham nuai ah a om nuam te, hong son tavun, note thukham thu za ngawl nu ziam?
Tell me, you that are so desirous to be under the law, do ye not hear the law?
22 Banghangziam cile, Abraham in tapa ni nei hi, khat sia a sila nu i tapa hi a, a dang khat sia a suakta nu i tapa a hihi, ci ki at hi.
where it is written, that Abraham had two sons, one by a servant, and one by a free-woman?
23 Sila nu i tapa sia cilesa ngeina bang in piang hi; ahihang a suakta nu i tapa sia kamciam tungtawn in a piang a hihi.
But he who was of the servant, was born according to the course of nature; whereas the son of the free-woman was by virtue of the promise.
24 Hi thu te sia telsakna hi a: hi nupi ni te sia thukham ni te a hihi; khat sia Sinai mual pan hi a, sila hina a piangsak Hagar a hihi.
Which things are figurative; for these persons are emblems of the two covenants, the one from mount Sinai, bringing forth children unto bondage, which is Hagar: for this name Hagar,
25 Banghangziam cile Hagar sia Arabia ngam a om Sinai mual hi a, tu in Jerusalem taw a kibang a hihi, taciang a tate taw sila hina sung ah om hi.
a rock, is expressive of mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to the present Jerusalem, which is in bondage with her children.
26 Ahihang vantung Jerusalem ah a suakta nu hi a, ama sia eite theampo i nu a hihi.
But the Jerusalem above is represented by the free-woman, which is the mother of us all.
27 Banghangziam cile, nang nau nei ngei ngawl numei ciing awng, lungdam in; nang nau tun thuak ngei ngawl nu, mun theampo thawn in au in: banghangziam cile pasal nei nupi sang in a ki hamsiat nupi in ta tamzaw nei hi, ci in ki at hi.
For it is written, Rejoice thou barren, that for a while didst not bear, break forth and cry aloud for joy, thou that didst not travail with child; for many more are the children of the desolate than of her that hath an husband."
28 Tu in, suapui te awng, eite sia Isaac bang in kamciam tate i hihi.
Now we, brethren, like Isaac, are children of the promise.
29 Ahihang cilesa ngeina bang in a piangpa in Thaa ngeina taw a piang pa sia vawtsia hi, tuzong in tabangma hi lai hi.
But as then he that was born after the flesh, persecuted him who was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.
30 Ahihang laithiangtho in bang ci ziam? Sila nu le a tapa hawlkhia in: banghangziam cile sila nu i tapa le a suakta nu i tapa te sia ngamh lua khawm thei ngawl tu hi.
But what saith the scripture? "Cast out the servant and her son: for the son of the servant shall not inherit with the son of the free-woman."
31 Tua ahikom, suapui te awng, eite sia sila nu i tate i hi bua hi, ahihang a suakta nu i tate i hihi.
Now we, my brethren, are not children of the servant, but of the free-woman.
