< Hebrai 3 >
1 Cedawngawh, khaw benna kaw khynaak ak za koeinaakhqi, ceityih ingkaw khawsoeih boei na ak awm, ningnih ing nik cangnaak uh Jesu awh ce na mik kawpoekkhqi ce caksak lah uh.
Why, holy brothers, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
2 Khawsa ipkhui kaw boeih awh Mosi ing ypawm na a awm amyihna, anih awm amah ak cak sakkung ak khanawh a ypawm hy.
Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house.
3 Im anglakawh im ak sakung ce kyihcahnaak a huh khqoet amyihna Jesu awm Mosi anglakawh kyihcahnaak ak bau khqoet huh aham tyng hy.
For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who has built the house has more honor than the house.
4 Im ve thlang ing sa hy, cehlai ik-oeih boeih boeih ak sakung taw Khawsa ni.
For every house is built by some man; but he that built all things is God.
5 Mosi taw Khawsa ipkhui awh ypawm na awm nawh, ni hai benawh kqawn hly kawi ce phawng hy.
And Moses truly was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 Cehlai Jesu taw capamyihna Khawsa ipkhui ak khanawh a ypawm hy. Ningmih ing ni zoeksang qaal leeknaak ing ngaih-unaak ce nim tu awhtaw ningnih taw anih a ipkhui kaw thlang na ni awm uhy.
But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
7 Cedawngawh Ciim Myihla ing ak kqawn amyihna: “Tuhngawi awh ak awi na ming zaak awhtaw,
Why (as the Holy Ghost says, To day if you will hear his voice,
8 nami pungnawi awhkaw thin sah amyihna namim thin koeh sah sak uh, qamkoh awh noekdak na ami awm awh
Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
9 nami pakhqi ing kai ve ni noekdak unawh kum phlikip ak khuiawh ka ik-oeih saikhqi ce hu uhy.
When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
10 Cedawngawh maw ce a cadilkhqik khanawh kak kaw so nawh, ‘Amik kawlung ang pleng doeng na pleng uhy, ka lam am sim qoe qoe unawh’, ka ti mah.
Why I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do always err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
11 Cedawngawh kak kaw so nawh, ‘kang dymnaak awh vekkhqi ve am kun kawm uh,’ ka ti.”
So I swore in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)
12 Koeinaakhqi, nangmih ak khuina u awm thlak thawlh na am awm u tiksaw ak hqing Khawsa venawh kawng cangnaak kawlung taak kaana am naming hawi am naming mang taak aham ngaihta lah uh.
Take heed, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
13 Tuhngawi tive a awm khui awhtaw thainaak thawlh ing na mim thin ama sahnaak aham, myngawi pynoet ingkaw pynoet tha pe qu lah uh.
But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
14 Ak cyk awhkaw ngaikhyknaak kawlung ce a dyt dyna ni taak awhtaw Khrih awh ningnih taw ni awm hawh uhy.
For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast to the end;
15 Vemyihna kqawnnaak ana awm amyihna: Tuhngawi awh, ak awi naming zaak awhtaw, nami pungnawi awhkaw kawlung nami sah sak amyihna koeh sah sak voel uh.”
While it is said, To day if you will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.
16 Awi za hlai uhy amik pungnawi ce a ukhqi nu? Izip qam awhkawng Mosi ing a sawi thlangkhqi vam hy nu my?
For some, when they had heard, did provoke: however, not all that came out of Egypt by Moses.
17 Ukhqi ak khanawh nu khaw kum Phlikip khuiawh ak kaw a so? Thawlhnaak sai nawh qamkoh awh ak thikhqi ak khanawh ni ka ti my?
But with whom was he grieved forty years? was it not with them that had sinned, whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
18 Awi ama mik ngaikhqi, am awhtaw ukhqi ak khanawh nu Khawsa ing ang dymnaak awh ama kun aham awi a kam ce?
And to whom swore he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that believed not?
19 Cekkhqi ing ama mik cangnaak awh am kun thai uhy, tice ni hu uhy.
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief.
