1 Cekcoengawh Agrippa ing Paul a venawh, “Tuh awhtaw namah akawng kqawn thai hawh hyk ti,” tina hy. Cedawngawh paul ing a kut ing vaih khqi nawh ak cangnaak awi ce kqawn hy.
And Agrippa said to Paul, It is permitted thee to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretching out his hand answered in his defence:
2 “Agrippa sangpahrang, Judakhqi ing thawlh ami nik puknaak awh kak cangnaak awi kqawn aham na haiawh kang dyih thai dawngawh ka zoseen hy tinawh poek nyng,
I count myself happy, king Agrippa, in having to answer to-day before thee concerning all of which I am accused by the Jews,
3 Judakhqi phunglam ingkaw dum a lai ben awikaa na sim soeih adawngawh, kak awih kqawn ve kawdungnaak ing na ning ngai law peek aham qeennaak thoeh law nyng.
especially because thou art acquainted with all the customs and questions which are among the Jews; wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
4 Judakhqi boeih ing ka naasen ca awhkawng ka khawsaknaak ce sim uhy, ka mik a keh cyk ca awhkawng ka qam khui ingkaw Jerusalem awh ka khawsaknaakkhqi sim uhy.
My manner of life then from my youth, which from its commencement was passed among my nation in Jerusalem, know all the Jews,
5 Kai ve khawqyt ami ni sim hawh dawngawh ami ngaih mai mantaw, kai akawng ve kqawn thai uhy, ka mimah bawknaak benawh ak kyi khyt, Farasi benna awm nyng.
who knew me before from the outset [of my life], if they would bear witness, that according to the strictest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
6 Ka pakhqi venawh Khawsa ing awi a taaknaak amyihna ngaih-unaak ka taaknaak a dawnawh tuhngawi awh kai ing awidengnaak hu nyng.
And now I stand to be judged because of the hope of the promise made by God to our fathers,
7 Vawhkaw awikamnaak a soepnaak a tym ce lamtoen doena pilnam hlaihih tloek ing khawthan khawkdai Khawsa bi ce bi uhy. Aw sangpahrang vawhkaw ngaih-unaak a dawngawh Judakhqi ing kai thawlh nik puk uhy.
to which our whole twelve tribes serving incessantly day and night hope to arrive; about which hope, O king, I am accused of [the] Jews.
8 Ikawtih Khawsa ing thlakthi thawh sak tlaih hy tice ikawtih am namik cangnaak hy voei?
Why should it be judged a thing incredible in your sight if God raises the dead?
9 Kai ingawm Nazareth Jesu ang ming ve ang coengnaak thai khuina oelh aham anak poek nyng.
I indeed myself thought that I ought to do much against the name of Jesus the Nazaraean.
10 Cedawngawh Jerusalem khaw awh awm cemyihna ce ana sai nyng. Khawsoih boeikhqi a saithainaak ce haw na nyng saw thlakciim khawzah ce thawngim awh thla nyng, cekkhqi ce a thih sak awh, a mingmih ami thih ce ana ngaih pyi nyng.
Which also I did in Jerusalem, and myself shut up in prisons many of the saints, having received the authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death I gave my vote.
11 A mingmih toel aham sinakawk pynoet coeng pynoet awh cet nyng saw, Jesu ang ming ce kqawn seet sak ngah ngah nyng. Cekkhqi ak khan awh kak kaw a so soeih dawngawh, cekkhqi thekhanaak aham qam chang dy dyna cet nyng.
And often punishing them in all the synagogues, I compelled them to blaspheme. And, being exceedingly furious against them, I persecuted them even to cities out [of our own land].
12 Ceamyihna qam chang na ka ceh awh, hypoet taw khawsoeih boeikhqi a sathainaak haw na nyng saw Damaska khaw na cet nyng.
And when, [engaged] in this, I was journeying to Damascus, with authority and power from the chief priests,
13 Khawnghyp awh, Aw sangpahrang, lam ka ceh huili awh, khan na kaw vangnaak ce hu nyng, cawhkaw vangnaak cetaw khawmik anglakawh awm vang khqoet hy, ce ing ce kamah ingkaw ka ceh pyikhqi ce nik coei pheng khqi hy.
at mid-day, on the way, I saw, O king, a light above the brightness of the sun, shining from heaven round about me and those who were journeying with me.
14 Dek na tlu boeih unyng, cawh Aqamaic awi na awi ak kqawn law ce za nyng, ‘Saul, Saul, kawtih nani the nani kha naak? Hling na suih ce namah aham ni a tlawh hy,’ ni tina hy.
And, when we were all fallen to the ground, I heard a voice saying to me in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? [it is] hard for thee to kick against goads.

And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest:

but rise up and stand on thy feet; for, for this purpose have I appeared to thee, to appoint thee to be a servant and a witness both of what thou hast seen, and of what I shall appear to thee in,
17 Nak thlangkhqi ingkaw Gentelkhqi kut khui awhkawng kai ing ni hul kawng nyng.
taking thee out from among the people, and the nations, to whom I send thee,
18 Cekkhqi amik dang sak nawh thannaak awhkawng vangnaak ak khuina hlat sak aham ingkaw, setan thaawmnaak kut khui awhkawng Khawsa benna hlat aham nang ve ni tyi kawng nyng, cawh ni cekkhqi ing thawlh qeenkhaw ngainaak ingkaw kai ak khuiawh cangnaak awh ciimnaak ak hukhqi anglakawh hun ce ami taak hly lawt,’ ni tina hy.
to open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive remission of sins and inheritance among them that are sanctified by faith in me.
19 Cedawngawh, sangpahrang Agrippa, khawk khan nakaw ik-oeih ka huh ce am oelh thai nyng.
Whereupon, king Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision;
20 Lamma cyk awh Damaska khaw awhkaw thlangkhqi venawh, cekcoengawh Jerusalem khaw awhkaw thlangkhqi ingkaw Juda qam awhkaw thlang boeih a venawh, Gentel thlangkhqi boeih a venawh awm, zutnaak ing Khawsa venna hlat unawh zutnaak ce them sainaak ing a ming dang sak thai aham awi kqawn pe nyng.
but have, first to those both in Damascus and Jerusalem, and to all the region of Judaea, and to the nations, announced that they should repent and turn to God, doing works worthy of repentance.
21 Vawh Judakhqi ing bawkim awh nim tu unawh him aham ni ngaih uhy.
On account of these things the Jews, having seized me in the temple, attempted to lay hands on and destroy me.
22 Cehlai tuhngawi dy awh Khawsa ing nik pyi hy, cedawngawh tuhngawi awh thlak zawi thlak bau a haiawh awi kqawn aham dyi nyng. Tawnghakhqi ingkaw Mosi ing ak law hly kawi ik-oeih anak kqawn ce ak pleeng na awi ap kqawn nyng-
Having therefore met with [the] help which is from God, I have stood firm unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying nothing else than those things which both the prophets and Moses have said should happen,
23 Khrih ing a khuikha awh thlakthi anglak awhkawng lammacyk na tho kaw, ak thlangkhqi ingkaw Gentel thlangkhqi venawh vangnaak awi kqawn pe kaw, ti ceni kak khypyi hy,” tina hy.
[namely, ] whether Christ should suffer; whether he first, through resurrection of [the] dead, should announce light both to the people and to the nations.
24 Paul ing ak cangnaak awi ak kqawn huili awh Festa ing awi ce qawt pehy. “Paul, na cyih am awm voel hy ve! Ak sang na cyihnaak na cawngnaak ing ni qaw sak hawh hy,” tina hy.
And as he answered for his defence with these things, Festus says with a loud voice, Thou art mad, Paul; much learning turns thee to madness.
25 Cawh paul ing, “Ak leek soeih Festa, am qaw nyng. Kak awih kqawn ve thym nawh a kung a dawng awm hy.
But Paul said, I am not mad, most excellent Festus, but utter words of truth and soberness;
26 Sangpahrang ing vemyihkhqi ve sim hy, anih a venawh ngaihding na kqawn pe thai nyng. A kil awh ang hyp ik-oeih sai na ama awm adawngawh, vawhkaw kak kqawnkhqi boeih ve ama sim pynoet ca awm am awm hy tinawh sim nyng.
for the king is informed about these things, to whom also I speak with all freedom. For I am persuaded that of these things nothing is hidden from him; for this was not done in a corner.
27 Agrippa sangpahrang, tawngha khqi ve nak cangnaak nu? Cang na hyk ti tice sim nyng,” tina hy.
King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
28 Cawh Agrippa ing Paul na ce, “A tym ak tawica ak khuiawh kai ve Khrih thlang na ning coeng sak vang tinawh nak poek nawh nu?” tina hy.
And Agrippa [said] to Paul, In a little thou persuadest me to become a Christian.
29 Paul ing, “A tym ak tawica awm khawk choet awm nang doeng kaana tuhngawi awh kai ak awi ak ngaikhqi boeih ing, vawhkaw thiqui kqawn kaana, kai amyihna nami awm thainaak aham Khawsa venawh cykcah nyng,” tina hy.
And Paul [said], I would to God, both in little and in much, that not only thou, but all who have heard me this day, should become such as I also am, except these bonds.
30 Cawh sangpahrang ce tho hy, anih ak pyikung qam uk boei ingkaw Bernice ingkaw cawh ak ngawikhqi boeih ce tho uhy.
And the king stood up, and the governor and Bernice, and those who sat with them,
31 Ipkhui awhkawng ami ceh awh, “Ve ak thlang ing ve thih ham ingkaw thawngim tlaak aham kawi na ikaw awm am sai hlai hy,” ti qu uhy.
and having gone apart, they spoke to one another saying, This man does nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
32 Agrippa ing Festa a venawh, “Kaisara a venna ceh aham ama thoeh mantaw, ve ak thlang ve hlah aham awm mai hawh hlai hy,” tina hy.
And Agrippa said to Festus, This man might have been let go if he had not appealed to Caesar.
