< Titu 2 >

1 Tedae nang tah aka cuem thuituennah neh aka rhoep te thui lah.
But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
2 Patong rhoek te aka khuel la, a hinom la, a cuepmueih la, tangnah dongah sading la, lungnah, uehnah neh om saeh.
That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience;
3 Te vanbangla a ham rhoek te omih ah hingcim la om saeh, hmuiyoih boel saeh, misurtui kah sal muep bi boel saeh, olthen aka thuituen la om uh saeh.
The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behavior as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 Te daengah ni tanoe rhoek te, va aka lungnah, ca aka lungnah la om ham a rhaengtuk thaihawn uh eh.
That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 A cuepmueih la, a cuem la, imkhoem then neh a va taengah boe a ngai. Te daengah ni Pathen kah olka te a soehsal pawt eh.
[To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
6 Te vanbangla cadong tanoe rhoek te a muet uh ham hloephoelh lah.
Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded.
7 A cungkuem ah namah te bibi then kah mueimae la tueng lah. Thuituennah dongah rhuepomnah neh hinomnah tueng sak.
In all things showing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine [showing] incorruptness, gravity, sincerity,
8 Olka te a koemboek la thuem saeh. Te daengah ni aka kingkalh loh yak vetih mamih te a thae la thui ham a khueh pawt eh.
Sound speech that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say concerning you.
9 Sal rhoek te soeprhaep boeih ah a boeikung taengah boengai saeh lamtah a kolo la om saeh, boekoek boel saeh.
[Exhort] servants to be obedient to their own masters, [and] to please [them] well in all [things]; not answering again;
10 Thuhrhawk boel saeh. Tedae a tangnah te cungkuem dongah a then la tueng coeng. Te daengah ni a cungkuem dongah mamih khangkung Pathen kah thuituennah neh a thoeihcam eh.
Not purloining, but showing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in all things.
11 Pathen kah lungvatnah loh hlang boeih taengah khangnah te a thoeng sak coeng.
For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
12 Hlangrhong neh lunglai kah hoehhamnah te hnawt ham mamih n'toel coeng. Kumhal ah a cuepmueih la, a tiktam la, hingcim la hing uh pawn sih. (aiōn g165)
Teaching us, that denying ungodliness, and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and piously, in this present world; (aiōn g165)
13 Ngaiuepnah yoethen neh boeilen Pathen kah thangpomnah khaw, mamih khangkung Jesuh Khrih kah a phoenah te n'lamtawn.
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Savior Jesus Christ;
14 Amah loh mamih yueng la amah paeuh. Te daengah ni mamih te olaeknah cungkuem lamloh n'tlan tih amah ham a khueh pilnam, bibi then kah aka hmae te n'cilpoe eh.
Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
15 Hekah he na thui phoeiah hloephoelh lamtah olpaek boeih neh toeltham lah. Nang te n'hnoel boel saeh.
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.
