1 Mamih kah diklai dap im te a phae atah, Pathen kah a imsak, kut neh saii mueh dungyan im te vaan ah ng'khueh uh coeng tila m'ming uh. (aiōnios g166)
For we know that if our earthly house, which is but a tent, should be destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. (aiōnios g166)
2 Tahae ah ng'huei uh ngawn cakhaw vaan lamkah mamih imlo khuiah thingcam ham ni n'rhingda uh.
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house that is from heaven,
3 Rhep m'bai uh ngawn koinih m'pumtling pawt khaw m'ming uh sue.
since, having been clothed, we shall not be found naked.
4 Dap ah aka om rhoek tah bakba n'hap uh tih n'huei uh. Tekah te pit ham pawt tih thingcam ham ng'ngaih uh. Te daengah ni hingnah loh aka duek thai te a yoop eh.
For we who are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened, not because we wish to be unclothed, but clothed upon, that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life.
5 Hekah boeih ham Pathen loh mamih n'thoeng sak tih, mamih taengah Mueihla cungah m'paek.
Now, he that has formed us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the earnest of the Spirit.
6 Te dongah n'sayalh uh taitu tih Boeipa taeng lamkah m'vi uh vaengah pumsa ah n'naeh uh te m'ming uh.
Therefore, we are always confident, especially since we know that, while living in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
7 Mikhmuh nen pawt tih tangnah nen ni m'pongpa uh.
for we walk by faith, not by sight:
8 N'sayalh uh dongah pumsa lamkah m'vi uh ham neh Boeipa taengah naeh ham te n'lungtlun uh ngai.
we are confident, indeed, and would be pleased rather to depart from the body, and to dwell with the Lord.
9 Te dongah n'naeh akhaw, m'vi uh akhaw amah kolo la om ham te tlungmu uh van sih.
For this reason we also endeavor, whether we remain in the body or depart from it, to be acceptable to him.
10 Mamih he Khrih kah khotloeng hmaiah boeih a phoe hama kuek. Te daengah ni pakhat rhip loh pumsa kah khoboe te bangla, a thae khaw, a then khaw a dang eh.
For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ, that each may receive his reward for the things done in his body, according to what he has done, whether good or evil.
11 Boeipa te rhihnah koila aka ming rhoek loh hlang ng'koilaw uh. Pathen taengla m'phoe uh coeng dongah nangmih kah mingcimnah dongah khaw phoe coeng tila ka ngaiuep.
Knowing, then, the fearful judgment of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest to God. I hope, indeed, that we are also made manifest in your consciences.
12 Nangmih taengah kamamih ka oep uh thae bal moenih. Tedae kaimih yueng thangpomnah ham tah nangmih taengah rhoidoengnah la kam paek uh. Te daengah ni thinko khuikah pawt tih maelhmai dongah aka pomsang rhoek te a moeh uh thai eh.
We do not again commend ourselves to you, but give you an occasion to boast of us, that you may be able to answer those who glory in appearance, and not in heart.
13 Ka limlum uh cakhaw Pathen ham, ka muet uh cakhaw nangmih ham.
For if we be beside ourselves, it is for God; or, if we be of sound mind, it is for you.
14 Khrih kah lungnah loh mamih n'nan dongah ol a tloek he. Pakhat loh hlang boeih yueng a duek dongah hlang boeih tah duek coeng.
For the love of Christ constrains us, because we have this judgment―that if one died for all, then have all died:
15 Tedae hlang boeih yueng laa duek daengah ni aka hing rhoek long khaw amah amah aha hing uh pawt eh. Anih te amih yueng la duek tih thoo coeng ta.
and he died for all, that those who live should no more live for themselves, but for him who died for them, and rose again.
16 Te dongah tahae lamkah tah kaimih loh pumsa la kam ming uh moenih. Khrih te pumsa la m'ming uh ngawn dae tahae ah m'ming uh voel pawh.
So, then, we henceforth know no man according to the flesh; if, indeed, we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we no longer thus know him.
17 Te dongah hlang pakhat loh Khrih ah a om atah suentae thai la om coeng. A rhuem tah khum tih a thai la om coeng he.
So, then, if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
18 A cungkuem he Pathen kah ni. Amah loh Khrih ah amah taengla mamih m'moeithen tih moeithennah bibi te mamih m'paek coeng.
And all these things are from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
19 Pathen tah Khrih ah om tih amah ham Diklai a moeithen. Amih kah tholhdalhnah te amamih taengah thoelh pah voel pawh. Mamih taengah khaw moeithennah olka te a khueh coeng.
that is, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, not charging their offenses to them, and he has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
20 Te dongah Khrih yueng la ka laipai uh. Kaimih ah Pathen kah n'hloep vanbangla Pathen neh na moeithen uh ham te Khrih yueng la kan hloep uh.
Therefore, we act as ambassadors for Christ, as though God entreated through us; we beseech in Christ’s stead, be reconciled to God:
21 Tholh aka ming pawt te mamih kongah tholh laa saii. Te daengah ni amah ah Pathen kah duengnah dongah mamih loh ng'om uh eh.
for he has made him, who knew no sin, a sin-offering for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
