< Saam 92 >

1 Sabbath ni ih Saam laa. Angraeng pakoehhaih loe hoih, Aw Kasang koek, na hmin pakoehhaih laasak hae hoih,
Yahweh, it is good for people to thank you and to sing to praise you [MTY] who are greater than any other god.
2 akhawnbang ah nam lunghaih to thuih moe, duembang ah na oepthohhaih thuih hae hoih,
It is good to proclaim every morning that you faithfully love us, and each night [to sing songs that] declare that you always do what you have promised to do,
3 aqui hato kaom katoeng, tamoi hoi atuen kahoih katoeng hoiah na hmin pakoeh hae hoih.
accompanied by [musicians playing] harps that have ten strings, and by the sounds made by a lyre.
4 Aw Angraeng, na sak ih hmuen hoiah kai palung nang hoesak; na ban hoi sak ih hmuennawk pongah pakoehhaih laa to ka sak han.
Yahweh, you have caused me to be glad; I sing joyfully because of what you [SYN] have done.
5 Aw Angraeng, na sak ih hmuen loe kawkruk maw len! Na poekhaih loe thuk parai.
Yahweh, the things that you do are great! But it is difficult for us to understand [all] that you think.
6 Poekhaih tawn ai kaminawk mah panoek o thai ai; kamthu mah doeh hae hae panoek ai,
There are things [that you do] that foolish people cannot know about, things that stupid people cannot understand.
7 kasae kaminawk loe phroh baktiah tacawt o moe, kahoih ai hmuen sah kaminawk qoeng o tahang naah, nihcae to dungzan khoek to amrosak tih boeh.
They do not understand that although the number of wicked [people] increases [like blades of] grass do [SIM], and they prosper, they will be completely destroyed.
8 Toe Angraeng, nang loe dungzan khoek to kasang ah na oh poe.
But Yahweh, you [will] exalted/be honored/rule) forever.
9 Aw Angraeng, na misanawk ho khenah; khenah, na misanawk loe anghmaa o tih; kahoih ai hmuen sah kaminawk boih loe ahmuen kruekah amhet o tih.
Yahweh, your enemies will [certainly] die, and those who do wicked things will be defeated/scattered.
10 Maitaw tae taki baktiah kai ih taki hae na pakoeh moe, kahoih situi hoiah nang bawh boeh.
But you have caused me to be as strong [MTY] as [SIM] a wild ox; you have caused me to be very joyful [MTY].
11 Ka mik mah ka misanawk to hnuk moe, kahoih ai ka misanawk pazawkhaih kawng ka thaih naah loe, ka poekhaih palungthin khuek ti tih boeh.
I [SYN] have seen you defeat my enemies; d I have heard those evil men wail/scream while they were being slaughtered.
12 Katoeng kami loe ungsikung baktih, Lebanon ih Sidar thing baktiah qoeng tahang tih.
But righteous [people] will prosper like [SIM] palm trees that grow well, or like [SIM] cedar [trees] that grow in Lebanon.
13 Angraeng imthung ah thling ih kaminawk loe, aicae Sithaw ih longhmaa ah qoeng o tahang tih.
[They are like the trees] that grow near the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem], those trees that are close to the courtyard of the temple of our God.
14 Nihcae loe mitong naah doeh thingthai athai o vop tih; aqam angtha o ueloe, hing suep ah om o tih.
[Even] when righteous people become old, they do many things [IDM] [that please God]. They remain strong and full of energy, [like trees that] [MET] remain full of sap.
15 To naah nihcae mah, Angraeng loe toeng, anih loe ka lungsong ah oh; a nuiah katoeng ai hmuen tidoeh om ai, tiah amtueng tih.
That shows that Yahweh is just; he is [like a huge] rock [under which I am safe/protected], and he never does anything that is wicked/wrong.
