3 To naah kalen koek qaimanawk, ca tarik kaminawk, kacoehtanawk, Kaiapha, tiah kawk ih kalen koek qaima im ah amkhueng o,
Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the courtyard of the high priest, whose name was Caiaphas,
4 Jesu to zoek moe, naeh o pacoengah, hum hanah a thuih o.
and they plotted together to arrest Jesus secretly and kill him.

But they said, “Not during the feast, lest there be a riot among the people.”

This ointment could have been sold for a large sum, and the money could have been given to the poor.”

You always have the poor with you, but you will not always have me.

Truly I say to you, wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial to her.”
14 To naah a hnukbang hatlai hnetto thungah Judah Isakariot, tiah kawk ih kami maeto loe, kalen koek qaima khaeah caeh moe,

16 To nathuem hoi kamtong anih mah Jesu naeh thai han ih atue kahoih to pakrong boeh.
And from then on he was looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus.
17 Taeh thuh ai misong loihhaih poih nito naah loe, a hnukbang kaminawk Jesu khaeah angzoh o moe, nang hanah misong loihhaih poih hae naah maw saksak han na koeh? tiah a naa o.
On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus and said to him, “Where do yoʋ want us to make preparations for yoʋ to eat the Passover?”

19 Jesu mah thuih ih lok baktih toengah a hnukbang kaminawk mah, Misong loihhaih poih to sak o.

The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.”
25 Anih angphat taak kami, Judah mah, Rabbi, kai maw? tiah a naa. To naah anih mah, Na thuih ih baktih toengah nang ni, tiah a naa.
Then Judas, who betrayed him, replied, “Surely not I, Rabbi?” Jesus said to him, “Yoʋ have said it yoʋrself.”

But I tell you, from this point forward I will certainly not drink again from this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it with you anew in the kingdom of my Father.”
30 Laa maeto a sak o pacoengah, Olive mae ah a caeh o.
And after singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

32 Toe kang thawk let pacoengah, nangcae hmaa ah Kalili ah ka caeh han, tiah a naa.
But after I have been raised up, I will go ahead of you to Galilee.”

Peter answered him, “Even if everyone else falls away because of yoʋ, I will never fall away.”

Jesus said to him, “Truly I say to yoʋ that on this night, before a rooster crows, yoʋ will deny me three times.”
35 Piter mah anih khaeah, Nang hoi nawnto duek han om cadoeh, nang to kang phat taak mak ai, tiah a naa. A hnukbang kaminawk mah doeh to tiah thuih o boih.
But Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with yoʋ, I will certainly not deny yoʋ.” And all the disciples said the same thing.
36 To pacoengah Jesu loe Gethsemane, tiah kawk ih ahmuen ah a hnukbang kaminawk hoi caeh o, a hnukbang kaminawk khaeah, haeah anghnu oh, ho ah lawkthuih han ka caeh han, tiah a naa.
Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to the disciples, “Sit here while I go over there and pray.”
37 Piter hoi Zebedi capa hnik to a caeh haih, anih loe palungset moe, paroeai dawnraihaih hoiah oh.
And taking with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, he began to be sorrowful and distressed.

Then Jesus said to them, “My soul is very sorrowful, even to the point of death; stay here and keep watch with me.”
39 Anih loe ahmuen kangthla kue ah caeh moe, mikhmai long ah akuep, Aw Pa, angcoeng thai nahaeloe, hae boengloeng hae kai khae hoi takhoe ving ah: toe ka koehhaih baktih na ai ah, na koehhaih baktiah om nasoe, tiah lawk a thuih.
And going a little farther, he fell on his face and prayed, “My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as yoʋ will.”
40 A hnukbang kaminawk khaeah a caeh naah, ka-iip nihcae to a hnuk, Piter khaeah, atue maeto thung mataeng doeh nang hak o haih thai ai maw?
Then he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “So you could not keep watch with me for one hour?
41 Pacuekhaih thungah na kun o han ai ah, Hak oh loe, lawkthui oh: pakhra mah loe koeh, toe taksa loe thazok, tiah a naa.
Keep watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42 Anih loe caeh let moe, Aw Pa, hae boengloeng hae kai khae hoiah ni takhoe ving thai ai moe, ka naek hanah om khruek nahaeloe, na koehhaih baktiah om nasoe, tiah lawk a thuih.
Again, he went away for a second time and prayed, “My Father, if this cup cannot pass from me unless I drink it, may yoʋr will be done.”
43 Anih angzoh let naah, iih kangmue khaang o ai pongah, ka-iip nihcae to a hnuk let bae.
Then he came and found them sleeping again, for their eyes were heavy.
44 To pongah nihcae to a caeh taak moe, vai thumto haih, to tiah lawk a thuih let bae.
So he left them and went away again and prayed for a third time, saying the same thing.
45 To pacoengah a hnukbang kaminawk khaeah a caeh, nihcae khaeah, Vaihi khoek to nang song o moe, na iih o vop maw? Khenah, Kami Capa to angphat taak moe, kazae kaminawk ban ah paekhaih atue loe zoi boeh, tiah a naa.
Then he came to his disciples and said to them, “Sleep on now and take your rest! Behold, the hour has drawn near, and the Son of Man is delivered up into the hands of sinners.
46 Angthawk oh, caeh o si boeh: khenah, kai angphat taak kami loe angzoh boeh, tiah a naa.
Rise, let us go. Behold, my betrayer has drawn near.”
47 Anih lokthuih li naah, khenah, hatlai hnetto thung ih maeto, Judah to angzoh, kalen koek qaima hoi rangpui kacoehtanawk mah patoeh ih, pop parai kaminawk loe haikaek hoi thingboengnawk to sin o moe, angzoh o.
While he was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came. With him was a large crowd with swords and clubs, sent from the chief priests and elders of the people.
48 Anih angphat taak kami mah nihcae hanah angmathaih to paek, Ka mok ih kami loe, Anih to boeh ni; anih to naeh oh, tiah a naa.
Now his betrayer had given them a sign, saying, “Whomever I kiss, he is the one; arrest him.”
49 Judah loe Jesu khaeah caeh phrat moe, Patukkung, tiah lok tapring pacoengah, Anih to a mok.
Immediately he went up to Jesus and said, “Greetings, Rabbi!” And he kissed him.
50 Jesu mah anih khaeah, Ampui, tih sak han ih maw nang zoh? tiah a naa. To naah kaminawk angzoh o moe, Anih to naeh o pacoengah, a caeh o haih.
Jesus said to him, “Friend, why have yoʋ come?” Then they came forward, took hold of Jesus, and arrested him.
51 To naah khenah, Jesu hoi nawnto kaom kaminawk thung ih maeto loe a ban to phok moe, a sumsen to azuh pacoengah, kalen koek qaima tamna ih naa to takroek pae pat.
And behold, one of the men with Jesus stretched out his hand, drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, cutting off his ear.
52 Jesu mah anih khaeah, angmah ih ahmuen ah na sumsen to suem ah: mi kawbaktih doeh sumsen sin kami loe suemsen hoiah dueh tih.
Then Jesus said to him, “Put yoʋr sword back in its place, for all who take the sword will die by the sword.
53 Kai paek hanah misatuh abu hatlai hnetto pongah kapop van kaminawk to Pa khaeah vaihi ka hni thai mak ai, tiah na poek o maw?
Or do yoʋ think that I cannot call on my Father right now, and he will provide me with more than twelve legions of angels?
54 Toe to tiah om nahaeloe, cabu thungah hae tiah om tih, tiah thuih ih lok to kawbangah maw akoep thai tih? tiah a naa.
How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that say it must happen this way?”
55 To nathuem ah Jesu mah pop parai kaminawk khaeah, Kai hae kamqu baktiah naeh han ih maw, sumsen hoi thingboengnawk hoiah nang zoh o? Tikhoe ni thokkruek tempul thungah nangcae hoi nawnto kang hnut moe, kaminawk ka patuk naah nang naeh o ai loe?
In that hour Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out to arrest me with swords and clubs as you would against a robber? I sat daily with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me.
56 Toe tahmaanawk mah tarik ih cabu akoep han ih ni hae hmuen hae oh, tiah a naa. To pacoengah a hnukbang kaminawk mah anih to angphat o taak moe, cawnh o taak boih.
But all this has taken place so that the Scriptures of the prophets would be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him and fled.
57 Jesu naeh kaminawk mah anih to ca trik kaminawk hoi kacoehtanawk amkhuenghaih, kalen koek qaima, Kaiapha im ah caeh o haih.
Now those who had arrested Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
58 Toe Piter loe qaima im khoek to ahmuen kangtla hoiah anih hnukah bang, kawbangah maw a sak o, tiah panoek hanah, a thungah akun moe, imtoep tamnanawk hoi nawnto anghnut.
But Peter was following him at a distance, coming as far as the courtyard of the high priest. After going inside, he sat with the officers to see the outcome.
59 Qaimanawk, kacoehtanawk hoi lokcaekungnawk boih mah Jesu hum hanah, sak pazaehaih to pakrong o;
Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole Sanhedrin were seeking false testimony against Jesus, so that they could put him to death,
60 toe tidoeh hnu o ai: ue, zae netkung paroeai angzoh o, toe nihcae mah zaehaih tidoeh hnu o ai. Hnukkhuem koek ah loe amsawn zaehaih hnukung hnetto angzoh moe,

61 hae kami mah, Sithaw ih tempul hae ka phraek moe, ni thumto thungah ka sak thaih, tiah thuih, tiah a thuih hoi.
But at last two false witnesses came forward and declared, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God and rebuild it in three days.’”
62 To naah kalen koek qaima to angthawk moe, anih khaeah, lok nang pathim mak ai maw? Hae hnukung hnik mah zae nethaih loe kawbangah maw oh? tiah a naa.
So the high priest stood up and said to him, “Do yoʋ make no answer? What are these men testifying against yoʋ?”
63 Toe Jesu loe angam duem. Qaima mah anih khaeah, Kahing Sithaw ih ahmin palawkhaih hoiah lok kang dueng, nang loe Sithaw Capa, Kri maw? Na thui ah, tiah a naa.
But Jesus was silent. Then the high priest said to him, “I adjure yoʋ by the living God to tell us if yoʋ are the Christ, the Son of God.”
64 Jesu mah anih khaeah, Na thuih ih baktih toengah ka oh: toe nang khaeah lok ka thuih, hmabang ah loe Thacak bantang bangah kanghnu, tamai nui hoiah angzo Kami Capa to na hnu tih, tiah a naa.
Jesus said to him, “Yoʋ have said it yoʋrself. Nevertheless I say to you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power and coming on the clouds of heaven.”
65 To naah kalen koek qaima mah angmah ih kahni to asih moe, Anih mah Sithaw to kasae thuih boeh; aicae mah kalah hnukungnawk timaw angaihaih oh vop? Khenah, a thuih ih Sithaw padaenghaih lok to vaihi na thaih o boeh.
Then the high priest tore his garments and said, “He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? Behold, you have now heard his blasphemy.
66 Kawbangah maw na poek o? tiah a naa. Nihcae mah, Anih loe duek han krah zaehaih a tawnh, tiah pathim pae o.
What do you think?” They answered, “He deserves death.”
67 Nihcae mah a mikhmai ah tamtui hoi pathoih o moe, anih to thong o; thoemto kaminawk mah anih to tabaeng o,
Then they spit in his face and struck him. Others slapped him,
68 nang Kri, mi mah maw ang boh? Na thui ah, tiah a naa o.
saying, “Prophesy to us, yoʋ Christ! Who is it that struck yoʋ?”
69 Piter loe im tasa bangah anghnut: to naah nongpata maeto anih khaeah angzoh moe, nang doeh Kalili prae ih Jesu hoi nawnto na oh toeng bae, tiah a naa.
Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him and said, “Yoʋ also were with Jesus the Galilean.”
70 Toe Piter mah nihcae boih hma ah angphat, timaw na thuih ka panoek ai, tiah a naa.
But he denied it before them all, saying, “I do not know what yoʋ are talking about!”
71 Im hmabang ih khongkha ah a caeh naah, kalah nongpata maeto mah anih to hnuk, nongpata mah to ah kaom kaminawk khaeah, Hae kami doeh Nazareth Jesu hoi nawnto oh, tiah a thuih.
Then he went out to the gateway, and another servant girl saw him and said to the people there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72 To naah anih mah, To kami to ka panoek ai, tiah lokmaihaih hoiah angphat taak let.
But again he denied it with an oath: “I do not know the man.”
73 Akra ai ah to ah angdoe kaminawk anih khaeah angzoh o moe, Piter khaeah, nang doeh nihcae thung ih kami maeto ah ni na oh; na paeh ih lok pongah amnoek boeh, tiah a naa o.
After a little while, the people standing there came up and said to Peter, “Truly yoʋ also are one of them, for even yoʋr accent gives yoʋ away.”
74 To naah anih mah, To kami to ka panoek ai, tiah tangoenghaih hoiah lokkamhaih to a sak. To pacoengah loe aa to khong roep.
Then he began to invoke curses and to swear, saying, “I do not know the man.” And immediately a rooster crowed.
75 Jesu mah, aakhong ai naah, vai thumto kai nang phat taak tih, tiah thuih ih lok to Piter mah panoek. To pongah tasa bangah a caeh moe, palungset loiah a qah.
Then Peter remembered what Jesus had said to him: “Before a rooster crows, yoʋ will deny me three times.” And he went out and wept bitterly.
