< Hosea 14 >
1 Aw Israel, Angraeng na Sithaw khaeah amlaem lai ah, na zaehaih pongah nam timh boeh.
Israel, convert to the Lord your God. For you have been ruined by your own iniquity.
2 Loknawk to sin ah loe, Angraeng khaeah amlaem lai ah: Anih khaeah, pahni hoi hmuen tathlanghaih kang paek o thai hanah, zaehaihnawk boih to tahmen ah loe, tahmenhaih hoiah talawk pae ah, tiah thui oh.
Take these words with you and return to the Lord. And say to him, “Remove all iniquity and accept the good. And we will repay the calves of our lips.
3 Assyria kaminawk mah kaicae pahlong mak ai; hrang nuiah kang thueng o mak ai boeh, ban hoi ka sak o ih hmuen khaeah, Nang loe kaicae ih Sithaw ni, tiah ka thui o mak ai boeh. Nang khae hoiah ni naqahnawk mah palungnathaih to hnuk o.
Assur will not save us; we will not ride on horses. Neither will we say any more, ‘The works of our hands are our gods,’ for those that are in you will have mercy on the orphan.”
4 Nihcae hnuk angqoihaih to ngan ka tuisak moe, boeng ai ah nihcae to ka palung han boeh; anih nuiah palung ka phuihaih to ka paqoi ving boeh.
I will heal their contrition; I will love them spontaneously. For my wrath has been turned away from them.
5 Kai loe Israel kaminawk hanah dantui baktiah ka oh: anih loe Lili pawk baktiah apawk ueloe, Lebanon baktiah tangzuun to sah tih.
I will be like the dew; Israel will spring forth like the lily, and his root will spread out like that of the cedars of Lebanon.
6 Anih ih tanghangnawk tacawt tahang ueloe, a krang hoihhaih loe olive thing baktiah om tih; anih ih ahmui loe Lebanon baktiah om tih.
His branches will advance, and his glory will be like the olive tree, and his fragrance will be like that of the cedars of Lebanon.
7 Anih ih tahlip ah kaom kaminawk loe amlaem o let tih; nihcae loe cang baktiah angdoe tahang ueloe, misurkung baktiah amprawk tih, nihcae ih ahmui loe Lebanon ih misurtui baktiah om tih.
They will be converted, sitting in his shadow. They will live on wheat, and they will grow like a vine. His memorial will be like the wine of the cedars of Lebanon.
8 Ephraim mah, Krangnawk loe kawbang maw ka sak han boeh? Anih to ka thaih moe, anih to ka pakrong boeh: kai loe kahing hmaica thing baktiah ni ka oh; nang ih athaih loe kai khae hoiah ni angzoh.
Ephraim will say, “What are idols to me anymore?” I will listen to him, and I will set him straight like a healthy spruce tree. Your fruit has been found by me.
9 Hae hmuennawk hae panoek hanah, palungha mi maw kaom? Palungha kami mah, hae hmuennawk hae panoek thai tih maw? Angraeng ih loklam loe toeng, katoeng kaminawk loe to ah caeh o, toe misa angthawk kaminawk loe to ah amthaek o.
Who is wise and will understand this? Who has understanding and will know these things? For the ways of the Lord are straight, and the just will walk in them, but truly, the traitors will fall in them.
