1 Kcangkia ningsaw naw ä a ti cän na jah mthei yah khai.

But speak thou that which becometh sound doctrine,

2 A sak dämkia kpamie cän ami hniphnawi vaia, leisawng vaia ngkäih u lü ami mät ami nängei vaia, jumeinak akdaw ta u lü mhläkphyanak ja khameinak khawh ami tak vaia jah mtheia.

and teach, That the elders be watchful in their minds, and be chaste and pure, and sound in the faith, and in charity, and in patience.

3 Acukba bäa, a sak dämkiea nghnumie pi ngcimngcaih lü nghnumia vea kba ami ve kung vaia jah mtheha. Mpyüia capyit tui aw lü khyanga am a daw pyeneikia käh kya kawm u. Akdaw i ti cun jah mthei yah khai,

And so also the aged women, that they be in behaviour what becometh the fear of Aloha, and not slanderers, nor enslaved to much wine, and that they teach good things;

4 ami sak dikia nghnumie üng ami cae ja ami kpamie jah mhlä na lü,

making those who are young modest, to love their husbands and their children,

5 amimät nängei u lü ngcimngcaih u lü nghnumi kdawa kya lü ami kpamiea pyen ami ngjak üngva Pamhnam üngkhyüh lawkia ngthu u naw pi akse am pyen u.

and to be chaste and holy, well mindful of their houses, and submissive to their husbands, that no man blaspheme the word of Aloha.

6 Acukba bäa, a sak dik hamki kpamie pi amimät ami nängei vaia jah nghui na bä.

And of those who are young men, likewise, require that they be chaste.

7 Anaküt üng namät kung cän a ning hjutuih vaia akdawa vecawha. Na mlung pi ngcim lü a süyüa na jah mthei yah khai.

But in every thing show thyself the example in all good works, and in doctrine let there be with thee sound speech which is sincere and incorrupt,

8 Käh ami ning mkateinak thei vaia khyübe cän na sumei üngva na yee cän ngkeei u lü mimia mawng akse ami pyen vai i am ve.

and which no man will despise, that he who riseth against us may be ashamed when he cannot say any thing hateful against us.

9 Mpyae pi ami mahpa kea ve u lü anaküt üng jesak kawm u. Ami mahpa käh msang be u lü

Let servants to their masters be submissive in every thing, and please them, not contradicting,

10 ami mahpa ka pi käh mpyuei kawm u. Acuna hnün üng, angläta ami daw ja ami sitih cun ami mdan üngva ami bi naküt üng mi Küikyan Bawi Pamhnama mawng ngtheinak cun akdawa cehpüi khaie ni.

nor pilfering; but let them show their good-trustiness in every thing, that they may adorn in every thing the doctrine of Aloha our Saviour.

11 Khyang naküta küikyannak vaia Pamhnam naw a bäkhäknak mdan pängki ni.

FOR the all-saving grace of Aloha hath appeared to all men,

12 Acuna bäkhäknak naw khawmdeka mi xün k'um üng Pamhnam am khyühnak ja khawmdek kpameinake jah hawih lü ngsungpyunnak, mät nängeinak, akdawa venak ja Pamhnam ksing lü (aiōn g165)

and teacheth us to deny wickedness and the lusts of the world, and to live in this world in purity, and in rectitude, and in the fear of Aloha, (aiōn g165)

13 mi äpeia jodawnaka Mhnüp mi k'äiha kba Küikyanki Jesuh Khritaw ja dämduh lü hlüngtaikia Pamhnama ngdan law vai jah mcuhmthehki.

while expecting the blessed hope and the manifestation of the glory of the great God and our Saviour Jeshu Meshiha;

14 Ani naw am dawki üngkhyüh jah yungmhlät lü ngcimkia khyanga jah pyang lü akdaw pawh lü ani däk mi kanakia mi thawn vaia amät naw amät jah peki ni.

who gave himself for us, to redeem us from all iniquity, and to cleanse unto himself a new people, who are zealous of good works.

15 Ahine jah mthei lü ning ngaikie jah him lü ktha na jah pet üng na ana naküt sumei bä. U naw pi käh ning mdihmsui kawm.

These speak, and require, and maintain with all authority, and no man shall despise thee.
