1 Khritaw Jesuh am yümmatnak mi taka xünnak khyütam sang khaia tüih, Pamhnama hlüei Khritaw Jesuha ngsä Pawluh üngkhyüh ni,
PAULOS, an apostle of Jeshu Meshiha by the will of Aloha, and on account of the promise of life which is in Jeshu Meshiha,
2 Ka mhlänak ka ca Timotia veia ni: Pa Pamhnam ja mi Bawipa Khritaw Jesuha bäkhäknak, mpyeneinak ja dim’yenak nang üng ning pe se.
to Timotheos my beloved son: grace and mercies and peace from Aloha our Father, and from our Lord Jeshu Meshiha.
3 Ka pupae naw ami na khüih khawia mäiha ngcimkia mät ja mät ksingnak am ka khüiha Pamhnama veia jenaka mthehki. Amhnüp amthan ka ktaiyünak üng ka ning süma phäh ani ka jenaki.
I thank Aloha, whom I serve from my fathers with a pure conscience, that constantly I remember thee in my prayers of the night and of the day;
4 Na miktui ka süm üng, jekyainak am ka be vaia aktäa ka ning hmu hlüki.
and have longed to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy:
5 Na nu Unick ja na pi Lawiha ami tak jumnaka ngkaw nang naw pi jumnak akcang na tak ka sümki. Nang naw pi acuna jumnak na taki tia ka ksingki.
in remembrance of thee (and) of thy true faith which dwelt first in the mother of thy mother Lois, and in thy mother Eunika, and which, I am persuaded, (is) in thee also.
6 Acunakyase, na khana ka kut ka mtai üng Pamhnam naw bänak a ning yet cän mphyünki lü na süm vaia ka ning mtheh be tüki ni.
On account of this I put thee in mind to keep awake the gift of Aloha, which is in thee by the laying on of my hands.
7 Pamhnam naw a jah peta Ngmüimkhya naw am jah kyüheisak, acuna hnün üng Ngmüimkhya naw johit, mhläkphyanak ja mimät nängeinak am jah kbeki.
For Aloha hath not given to us the spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of discipline.
8 Acunakyase, käh ngkeei lü mi Bawipa phäh saksia, Khritawa phäh thawng üng ka khyuma phäh pi käh ngkeeia. Pamhnam naw ngjuktha a ning peta mäiha Thangkdawa phäh khuikhanak khameia.
Wherefore be not thou ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner; but sustain evil with the gospel, through the power of Aloha,
9 Ani naw jah küikyan lü a khyang vaia a jah khü hin mi bilawhnak üng am kya lüpi a bäkhäknak ja a mkhühnak am ni. Akcün am a tünei ham üng Khritaw Jesuh üngkhyüh a bäkhäknak jah peki. (aiōnios g166)
who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling; not according to our works, but according to his will, and that grace of his which was given to us in Jeshu Meshiha before the time of the worlds, (aiōnios g166)
10 Mi Küikyan Bawi Khritaw Jesuh a lawnak üng ahin cun mimia veia ngdang law pängki ni. Ahih naw thihnaka johit cän mkhyüh lü anglät xünnak cun thangkdaw üngkhyüh mdanki ni.
and is now revealed by the revelation of our Saviour Jeshu Meshiha, who hath abolished death, and hath demonstrated life and incorruption, through the gospel,
11 Thangkdaw sang khai saja ja ngsäa Pamhnam naw na mcawn lü,
of which I am appointed an herald and an apostle and a teacher of the nations:
12 ahinea phäh khuikha ka khamki ni. Lüpi mkhühüpnak ka taki, isetiakyaküng, u ka umnaki ti cun ka ksingki. Kei üng a na ap hüt cun Khawmhnüp a pha law vei cäpa ani naw säm khawhki tia ka ksingki.
on account of which I suffer these, and am not ashamed. I know in whom I have believed, and am persuaded that there is power in his hands my deposite to keep for me unto that day.
13 Khritaw Jesuh üng mi yümmatnaka kyaki mhläkphyanak ja jumeinak üng ve lü na läklama vai ka ning mtheia khyübe kcang cän kcüng kyet bä.
Let the outline of sound words be with thee, which thou hast heard from me, with the faith and love which are in Jeshu Meshiha:
14 Mimi üng vekia Ngmüimkhya Ngcima johita khyüh a ning apa akdawe cän sämei kyet bä.
that good deposite keep through the Spirit of Holiness who dwelleth in us.
15 Asah hne veki khyang avan, Phakilas ja Hamawkines naw pi na cehtaki xawi ni.
Know this, that all those of Asia are turned from me, of whom are Phygellos and Harmogenes.
16 Bawipa mpyeneinak Onesiphoraha im kyawnga ve se, isetiakyaküng, ani naw akcün tä na jesaki ni. Thawng üng ka kyuma phäh pi am ngkeei lü,
Our Lord give mercies to the house of Onesiphoros, who many times hath refreshed me, and of the chains of my bonds hath not been ashamed.
17 Romah a pha law ja am a na hmuha küt üng kei na sui hüki ni.
But when also he came to Ruma, with diligence he sought me, and found me.
18 Acuna Mhnüp üng Bawipa naw a bäkhäknak pe se! Keia phäha Epheta ihlawka biloki tia cän nami ksingkie ni.
Our Lord grant that he may find mercies with our Lord in that day: and how he ministered to me in Ephesos thou especially knowest.
