< Yobu 31 >
1 “Ndinachita pangano ndi maso anga kuti sindidzapenya namwali momusirira.
I made a covenant with mine eyes; How then could I gaze upon a maid?
2 Kodi Mulungu kumwambako wandisungira zotani? Kodi cholowa changa chochokera kwa Wamphamvuzonse kumwambako nʼchotani?
For what is the portion appointed by God from above, And the inheritance allotted by the Almighty from on high?
3 Kodi si chiwonongeko kwa anthu oyipa, tsoka kwa iwo amene amachita zolakwa?
Is not destruction for the wicked, And ruin for the workers of iniquity?
4 Kodi Mulungu saona zochita zanga, ndi kudziwa mayendedwe anga?
Doth He not see my ways, And number all my steps?
5 “Ngati ndachita zinthu mwachiphamaso, kapena kufulumira kukachita zachinyengo,
If I have walked with falsehood, And if my foot hath hasted to deceit,
6 Mulungu andiyeze ndi muyeso wake wolungama ndipo Iye adzadziwa kuti ine ndine wosalakwa,
Let him weigh me in an even balance; Yea, let God know my integrity!
7 ngati mayendedwe anga asempha njira, ngati mtima wanga wakhumbira zimene maso anga aona, kapena ngati ndachita choyipa chilichonse.
If my steps have turned aside from the way, And my heart gone after mine eyes, Or if any stain hath cleaved to my hand,
8 Pamenepo ena adye zimene ndinadzala, ndipo zomera zanga zizulidwe.
Then I may sow, and another eat; And what I plant, may it be rooted up!
9 “Ngati mtima wanga unakopekapo ndi mkazi, ndipo ngati ndinalakalaka mkazi wa mnansi wanga,
If my heart hath been enticed by a woman, Or if I have watched at my neighbor's door,
10 pamenepo mkazi wanga aphikire mwamuna wina chakudya, ndipo amuna ena azigona naye.
Then let my wife grind for another, And let other men lie with her!
11 Pakuti zimenezo zikanakhala zochititsa manyazi, tchimo loyenera kulangidwa nalo.
For this were a heinous crime, Even a transgression to be punished by the judges;
12 Ndi moto umene umayaka mpaka chiwonongeko; ukanapsereza zokolola zanga.
Yea, it were a fire that would consume to destruction, And root out all my increase.
13 “Ngati ndinkapondereza mlandu wa akapolo anga aamuna kapena aakazi, pamene ankabwera kwa ine ndi milandu yawo,
If I have refused justice to my man-servant or maid-servant, When they had a controversy with me,
14 ndidzatani pamene Mulungu adzanditsutsa? Nanga ndidzayankha chiyani akadzandifunsa?
Then what shall I do when God riseth up? And when he visiteth, what shall I answer him?
15 Kodi amene anapanga ine mʼmimba mwa amayi anga si yemwe anapanganso iwo? Kodi si mmodzi yemweyo amene anatipanga tonsefe mʼmimba mwa amayi athu?
Did not He that made me in the womb make him? Did not one fashion us in the womb?
16 “Ngati ndinawamana aumphawi zinthu zimene ankazikhumba, kapena kuwagwiritsa fuwa lamoto akazi amasiye amene amafuna thandizo kwa ine,
If I have refused the poor their desire, And caused the eyes of the widow to fail;
17 ngati chakudya changa ndinadya ndekha, wosagawirako mwana wamasiye,
If I have eaten my morsel alone, And the fatherless hath not partaken of it;
18 chonsechotu kuyambira unyamata wanga ndinamulera monga abambo ake, ndipo moyo wanga wonse ndakhala ndikusamalira akazi amasiye,
(Nay, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, And I have helped the widow from my mother's womb; )
19 ngati ndinaona wina aliyense akuzunzika ndi usiwa, kapena munthu wosauka alibe chofunda,
If I have seen any one perishing for want of clothing, Or any poor man without covering;
20 ndipo ngati iyeyo sananditamandepo chifukwa chomufunditsa ndi nsalu ya ubweya wankhosa,
If his loins have not blessed me, And he hath not been warmed with the fleece of my sheep;
21 ngati ndinaopsezapo mwana wamasiye, poganiza kuti ndinali ndi mphamvu mʼbwalo la milandu,
If I have shaken my hand against the fatherless, Because I saw my help in the gate, —
22 pamenepo phewa langa lipokonyeke, mkono wanga ukonyoke polumikizira pake.
Then may my shoulder fill from its blade, And my fore-arm be broken from its bone!
23 Popeza ine ndinaopa kwambiri chiwonongeko chochokera kwa Mulungu, ndinachitanso mantha ndi ulemerero wake, sindikanatha kuchita zinthu zimenezi.
For destruction from God was a terror to me, And before his majesty I could do nothing.
24 “Ngati ndinayika mtima wanga pa chuma kapena kunena kwa golide wabwino kwambiri kuti, ‘Iwe ndiye chitetezo changa,’
If I have made gold my trust, Or said to the fine gold, Thou art my confidence;
25 ngati ndinakondwera chifukwa choti chuma changa chinali chambiri, zinthu zimene manja anga anazipeza,
If I have rejoiced, because my wealth was great, And my hand had found abundance;
26 ngati pamene ndinaona dzuwa likuwala, kapena mwezi ukuyenda mwa ulemerero wake,
If I have beheld the sun in his splendor, Or the moon advancing in brightness,
27 ndipo kuti mtima wanga unakopeka nazo nʼkuyika dzanja langa pakamwa mozilemekeza,
And my heart hath been secretly enticed, And my mouth hath kissed my hand,
28 pamenepo zimenezinso zikanakhala machimo oti ndilangidwe nawo, chifukwa ndikanakhala wosakhulupirika kwa Mulungu wakumwamba.
This also were a crime to be punished by the judge; For I should have denied the God who is above.
29 “Ngati ndinasangalala ndi kuwonongeka kwa mdani wanga, kapena kusekera mavuto pamene mavuto anamugwera,
If I have rejoiced at the destruction of him that hated me, And exulted when evil came upon him;
30 ine sindinachimwe ndi pakamwa panga potulutsa matemberero a mdani wanga kuti awonongeke,
(Nay, I have not suffered my mouth to sin, By asking with curses his life; )
31 ngati anthu amene ndimakhala nawo mʼnyumba mwanga sananenepo kuti, ‘Kodi ndani amene sakhuta ndi chakudya cha Yobu?’
If the men of my tent have not exclaimed, “Who is there that hath not been satisfied with his meat?”
32 Komatu mlendo sindinamusiye pa msewu usiku wonse, pakuti khomo langa linali lotsekuka nthawi zonse kwa alendo,
The stranger did not lodge in the street; I opened my doors to the traveller.
33 ngati ndinabisa tchimo langa monga amachitira anthu ena, kubisa kulakwa mu mtima mwanga
Have I, after the manner of men, hidden my transgression, Concealing my iniquity in my bosom,
34 chifukwa choopa gulu la anthu, ndi kuchita mantha ndi mnyozo wa mafuko kotero ndinakhala chete ndipo sindinatuluke panja.
Then let me be confounded before the great multitude! Let the contempt of families cover me with shame! Yea, let me keep silence! let me never appear abroad!
35 “Aa, pakanakhala wina wondimva! Tsopano ndikutsiriza mawu anga odzitetezera. Wamphamvuzonse andiyankhe; mdani wanga achite kulemba pa kalata mawu ake ondineneza.
O that there were one who would hear me! Behold my signature! let the Almighty answer me. And let mine adversary write down his charge!
36 Ndithu ine ndikanakoleka kalatayo pa phewa langa, ndikanayivala kumutu ngati chipewa chaufumu.
Truly I would wear it upon my shoulder; I would bind it upon me as a crown.
37 Ndikanamufotokozera zonse zimene ndinachita; ndikanafika pamaso pake ngati kalonga.
I would disclose to him all my steps; I would approach him like a prince.
38 “Ngati minda yanga ikulira monditsutsa ine ndipo malo ake onse osalimidwa anyowa ndi misozi,
If my land cry out against me, And its furrows bewail together;
39 ngati ndinadya za mʼminda mwake osapereka ndalama kapena kukhumudwitsa anthu olima mʼmindamo,
If I have eaten of its fruits without payment, And wrung out the life of its owners,
40 pamenepo mʼmindamo mumere namsongole mʼmalo mwa tirigu ndi udzu mʼmalo mwa barele.” Mawu a Yobu athera pano.
Let thorns grow up instead of wheat, And noxious weeds instead of barley. The words of Job are ended.
