Псалми 109

1 За първия певец. Давидов псалом. Недей мълча, Боже, хвало моя;

For the end, a Psalm of David. For the end, a Psalm of David. O God, pass not over my praise in silence;

2 Защото нечестиви уста и уста коварни се отвориха срещу мене, Говориха против мене с лъжлив език;

for the mouth of the sinner and the mouth of the crafty [man] have been opened against me: they have spoken against me with a crafty tongue.

3 Обиколиха ме тъй също с думи на омраза, И воюват против мене без причина.

And they have compassed me with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.

4 За отплата на любовта ми те ми станаха противници; Но аз все съм на молитва.

Instead of loving me, they falsely accused me: but I continued to pray.

5 И въздадоха ми зло за добро, И омраза за любовта ми.

And they rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

6 Господи, постави нечестив човек над него. И противник нека стои отдясно му.

Set thou a sinner against him; and let the devil stand at his right hand.

7 Когато се съди, нека излезе виновен. И молитвата му нека стане грях.

When he is judged, let him go forth condemned: and let his prayer become sin.

8 Дните му нека бъдат малко; Друг нека вземе чина му.

Let his days be few: and let another take his office of overseer.

9 Децата му нека бъдат сираци, И жена му вдовица,

Let his children be orphans, and his wife a widow.

10 Децата му нека се скитат винаги и станат просяци, И далеч от развалените си жилища нека просят хляб.

Let his children wander without a dwelling-place, and beg: let them be cast out of their habitations.

11 Лихоимецът нека впримчи целият му имот, И чужденци нека разграбват трудовете му.

Let [his] creditor exact all that belongs to him: and let strangers spoil his labours.

12 Да няма кой да простре милост към него, Нито кой да пожали сирачетата му.

Let him have no helper; neither let there be any one to have compassion on his fatherless children.

13 Внуците му нека бъдат отсечени, В идното поколение нека се изличи името им.

Let his children be [given up] to utter destruction: in one generation let his name be blotted out.

14 Нека се помни пред Господа беззаконието на бащите му, И грехът на майка му нека се не изличи;

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 Нека бъдат винаги пред Господа За да отсече помена им от земята,

Let them be before the Lord continually; and let their memorial be blotted out from the earth.

16 Защото той си науми да показва милост, Но преследваше немотния и беден човек, И съкрушения в сърце, за да ги умъртви.

Because he remembered not to shew mercy, but persecuted the needy and poor man, and [that] to slay him that was pricked in the heart.

17 Да! той обича да проклина, и проклетията го стигна; Не му беше драго да благославя, и благословението се отдалечи от него.

He loved cursing also, and it shall come upon him; and he took not pleasure in blessing, so it shall be removed far from him.

18 Да: той обичаше проклетията като своя дреха; И тя влезе като вода във вътрешностите му, И като масло в костите му.

Yea, he put on cursing as a garment, and it is come as water into his bowels, and as oil into his bones.

19 Нека му стане като дрехата, в която се увива, И като пояса, с който постоянно се опасва.

Let it be to him as a garment which he puts on, and as a girdle with which he girds himself continually.

20 Това нека бъде въздаянието на противниците ми от Господа, И ония, които говорят зло против душата ми.

This is the dealing of the Lord with those who falsely accuse me, and of them that speak evil against my soul.

21 А Ти, Иеова Господи, застъпвай се за мене заради името Си; Понеже Твоята милост е блага, избави ме,

But thou, O Lord, Lord, deal [mercifully] with me, for thy name's sake: for thy mercy is good.

22 Защото съм сиромах и немотен, И сърцето ми е наранено дълбоко в мене.

Deliver me, for I am poor and needy; and my heart is troubled within me.

23 Преминал съм като уклонила се сянка по слънчев часовник; Изхвърлен съм като скакалец.

I am removed as a shadow in its going down: I am tossed up and down like locusts.

24 Колената ми се клатят от пост; И снагата ми губи тлъстината си.

My knees are weakened through fasting, and my flesh is changed by reason of [the want of] oil.

25 И аз им станах за укор; Като ме гледат кимат с глава.

I became also a reproach to them: [when] they saw me they shook their heads.

26 Помогни ми, Господи Боже мой, Избави ме според милостта си,

Help me, O Lord my God; and save me according to thy mercy.

27 За да познаят, че това е твоята ръка, Че Ти си сторил това, Господи.

And let them know that this is thy hand; and [that] thou, Lord, hast wrought it.

28 Те нека кълнат, а Ти благославяй; Когато станат те ще се посрамят, а Твоят слуга ще се весели.

Let them curse, but thou shalt bless: let them that rise up against me be ashamed, but let thy servant rejoice.

29 Нека се облекат противниците ми с позор, И нека се покрият със срама си като с дреха.

Let those that falsely accuse me be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their shame as with a mantle.

30 И аз ще благодаря много на Господа с устата си, Да! между множеството ще Го хваля;

I will give thanks to the Lord abundantly with my mouth; and in the midst of many I will praise him.

31 Защото Той стои отдясно на немотния За да го избавя от ония, които съдят душата му.

For he stood on the right hand of the poor, to save [me] from them that persecute my soul.
