1 Solo da Filisidini dunuma gegenanu buhagi. Ilia da Soloma Da: ibidi da wadela: i hafoga: i soge Enegedi gadenene esala: ba: ya ema olelei.
And it came to pass, when Saul had returned from following the Philistines, that it was told him, saying: Lo! David is in the wilderness of En-gedi.
2 Solo da Isala: ili dadi gagui dunu baligili noga: idafa 3,000 agoane oule asili, soge ea dio amo Sigua Goudi Gele amoga gusudili, Da: ibidi amola e dunu hogolalu.
Then Saul took three thousand chosen men, out of all Israel, —and went to seek David and his men, over the face of the rocks of the mountain-goats.
3 E da logoga sibi gagoi gadenene magufu gelaba amoga misini, iga gimusa: asili, amo ganodini golili sa: i. Amo magufu gelaba ganodini, Da: ibidi amola ea dunu da guma: dafa wamoaligi dialu.
And he came into the sheep-folds by the way, there, being a cave, which Saul entered, to cover his feet, —David and his men, in the hinder part of the cave, having taken up their abode.
4 Da: ibidi ea dunu da ema amane sia: i, “Dia logo da doasi diala. Hina Gode da dia ha lai dunu dia lobo da: iya ima: ne sia: i, amo wali di da dia hanaiga ema hamomu logo doasi dagoi.” Da: ibidi da gebe gogoli asili, Solo ea abula fe hedofalai. Solo da ema amane hamobe hi hame dawa: i.
So David’s men said unto him—Lo! the day of which Yahweh said unto thee—Lo! I am about to deliver up thine enemy, into thy hand: therefore shall thou do unto him, as shall be good in thine eyes. And David arose, and cut off the corner of the robe which belonged to Saul, by stealth.
5 Be amalu Da: ibidi ea asigi dawa: su ganodini se nabi.
And it came to pass afterwards that David’s heart smote him, —because he had cut off the corner [of the robe] which belonged to Saul.
6 E da ea dunu ilima amane sia: i, “Na da dunu amo Hina Gode Ea hina bagade hamoma: ne ilegei, ema se imunu da defea hame. Hina Gode da na ema se imunu logo hedofamu da defea. Bai e da Hina Gode Ea ilegei dunuba: le.”
And he said unto his men—Far be it from me, of Yahweh, that I should do this thing unto my lord, unto the Anointed of Yahweh, to thrust forth my hand against him, —for, the Anointed of Yahweh, is he!
7 Da: ibidi da amane sia: beba: le, ea dunu da Soloma doagalamusa: dawa: i bu yolesi. Solo da wa: legadole, magufu gelabo yolesili, logoga asi.
So David did chide his men with the words, and did not suffer them to rise up against Saul. And, Saul, rose up out of the cave, and went on his way.
8 Amalalu, Da: ibidi da ema fa: no bobogele, gadili asili, ema wele sia: i, “Hina bagade noga: idafa!” Solo da beba: i. Da: ibidi da Solo nodoma: ne osoboga begudili,
Then David rose up, afterwards, and went forth out of the cave, and cried out after Saul, saying—My lord, O king! And, when Saul looked about behind him, David inclined his face to the earth, and bowed himself down.
9 amane sia: i, “Dia abuliba: le ogogosu dunu amo ilia na da dima se imunusa: logo hogosu, amo ilia sia: be nabasala: ?
Then said David to Saul, Wherefore shouldst thou hearken unto the words of the sons of earth, saying, —Lo! David is seeking thy hurt?
10 Disu da ba: lala. Wahadafa magufu gelaba ganodini, Hina Gode da hamobeba: le, na da na hanaiga dima hamomu logo doasi dagoi ba: i. Be na da dima asigiba: le, dima se fonobahadi imunusa: hame dawa: i. Bai Hina Gode da di hina bagade hamomusa: ilegei.
Lo! this day, have thine own eyes seen, how Yahweh had delivered thee up, to-day, into my hand in the cave, and, when one bade me slay thee, I looked with compassion upon thee, —and I said—I will not thrust forth my hand against my lord, for, the Anointed of Yahweh, is he!
11 Na ada! Ba: ma! Na da dia abula fonobahadi damui gagui diala. Na da di fane legemu galu, be na da goe fawane damuni lai. Amo hou ba: beba: le, na da dima hamedafa lelelemu amola dima se hamedafa imunu, di amo noga: le dawa: ma. Na da dima wadela: le hamedafa imunu, di amo noga: le dawa: ma. Na da dima wadela: le hamedafa hamoi. Be di da na fane legemusa: awelala.
But, my father, see, yea, see, the corner of thy robe in my hand, —for, in that I cut off the corner of thy robe, and yet did not slay thee, know thou, and see, that there is not in my hand either wrong or transgression, neither have I sinned against thee, yet art thou hunting my life, to take it.
12 Hina Gode da ania hou fofada: nanu, nowa da wadela: le hamoi E da sia: mu. Na da dima se hamedafa imunu. Amaiba: le, di da nama se bagade iabeba: le, Hina Gode da dima se dabe imunu da defea.
Let Yahweh do justice betwixt me and thee, and let Yahweh avenge me of thee, —but, mine own hand, shall not be upon thee.
13 Di da musa: sia: su amo dawa: , ‘Wadela: i dunu fawane da wadela: le hamosa.’ Amaiba: le, na da dima se hame imunu.
As saith the proverb of the ancients, From the lawless, proceedeth lawlessness, —mine own hand, therefore shall not be upon thee.
14 Isala: ili hina bagade da hamedei liligi fane legemusa: dawa: lala. Na da hamedei, wa: me bogoi amola dede amo agoaiwane gala.
After whom, hath the king of Israel come forth? After whom, art thou in pursuit? After a dead dog! after a single flea!
15 Hina Gode Hi fawane da fofada: nanu, nowa da moloi amola nowa da giadofai sia: mu. E da amo liligi hogolalu, di amo na mae fane legema: ne, na gaga: ma: mu.”
Therefore shall, Yahweh, become, judge, and do justice betwixt me and thee, —that he may see, and plead my cause, and justly deliver me out of thy hand.
16 Da: ibidi da sia: i dagole, Solo da amane sia: i, “Nagofe! Da: ibidi! Amo da dafawane dila: ?” Amola e da muni dinanu.
And it came to pass, when David had made an end of speaking these words unto Saul, that Saul said, Thy voice, is this, my son David? And Saul lifted up his voice, and wept.
17 Amalalu, e da Da: ibidima amane sia: i, “Dafawane! Di da moloi amola na da giadofai. Di da nama noga: le hamosu, be na da dima wadela: le hamoi.
And he said unto David, More righteous, art thou than I, for, thou, hast requited me, good, but, I, have requited thee, evil.
18 Wali eso, dia da nama asigi hou olelei dagoi. Bai Hina Gode da na amo dia loboga i dagoi, be di da na hame fane legei.
Thou, then, hast told to-day, how thou hast dealt with me, for good, —how, when Yahweh had surrendered me into thy hand, thou didst not slay me.
19 Dunu da ea ha lai gagusia, e da amo dunu mae hobeale fane legesa. Be di da hame amai. Di da waha nama hamobeba: le, Hina Gode da dima hahawane dogolegele hamomu da defea.
Yet, when a man findeth his enemy, will he let him get easily away? Yahweh, then, give thee, good, reward for what, this day, thou hast done unto me.
20 Wali na fada: ne dawa: Di da Isala: ili hina bagade hamomu amola hina bagadewane gebewane esalumu.
Now, therefore, lo! I know that thou, shalt indeed become king, —and that the kingdom of Israel, shall be established in thy hand.
21 Be na dunu da na dio amola na sosogo ilia dio amo gogolesa: besa: le, Hina Gode Ea Dioba: le di da nagaga fi mae fane legema: ne ilegele sia: ma.”
Now, therefore, swear unto me by Yahweh, that thou wilt not eat off my seed, after me, —and wilt not destroy my name out of the house my father.
22 Da: ibidi da amaiwane ilegele sia: i. Amalalu, Solo da hi diasuga buhagi. Amola Da: ibidi amola ea dunu da ilia wamoaligisua buhagi.
So David sware unto Saul, —and Saul departed unto his own house, but, David and his men, went up on the stronghold.
