He who pleads his cause first seems right— until another comes and questions him.
اَلْأَوَّلُ فِي دَعْوَاهُ مُحِقٌّ، فَيَأْتِي رَفِيقُهُ وَيَفْحَصُهُ.
مَنْ يَعْرِضُ قَضِيَّتَهُ أَوَّلاً يَبْدُو مُحِقّاً إِلَى أَنْ يَأْتِيَ آخَرُ وَيَسْتَجْوِبَهُ.
