What fell among the thorns, these are those who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with cares, riches, and pleasures of life; and they bring no fruit to maturity.

وَمَا وَقَعَ حَيْثُ الأَشْوَاكُ هُمُ الَّذِينَ يَسْمَعُونَ ثُمَّ يَمْضُونَ فَتَخْنُقُهُمْ هُمُومُ الْحَيَاةِ وَغِنَاهَا وَلَذَّاتُهَا، فَلا يُنْتِجُونَ ثَمَراً نَاضِجاً. |

Իսկ այն, որ փշերի մէջ ընկաւ, այդ նրանք են, որ, երբ լսում են խօսքը, աշխարհի հոգսերով, հարստութեամբ եւ զուարճութեամբ զբաղուած լինելով՝ խեղդւում ու անպտուղ են լինում:
Փուշերու մէջ ինկածները անոնք են, որ լսելէ ետք՝ կ՚երթան, բայց կը խեղդուին այս կեանքին հոգերով, հարստութեամբ ու հաճոյքներով, եւ պտուղ չեն հասունցներ:
