He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory, but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and no unrighteousness is in him.

مَنْ يَتَكَلَّمُ مِنْ نَفْسِهِ يَطْلُبُ مَجْدَ نَفْسِهِ، وَأَمَّا مَنْ يَطْلُبُ مَجْدَ ٱلَّذِي أَرْسَلَهُ فَهُوَ صَادِقٌ وَلَيْسَ فِيهِ ظُلْمٌ.
مَنْ يَتَكَلَّمُ مِنْ عِنْدِهِ يَطْلُبُ الْمَجْدَ لِنَفْسِهِ؛ أَمَّا الَّذِي يَطْلُبُ الْمَجْدَ لِمَنْ أَرْسَلَهُ فَهُوَ صَادِقٌ لَا إِثْمَ فِيهِ.

Ով ինքն իրենից է խօսում, իր համար է փառք փնտռում, իսկ ով փնտռում է նրա՛ փառքը, ով իրեն ուղարկել է, նա ճշմարիտ է, եւ նրա մէջ սուտ բան չկայ:
Ա՛ն որ կը խօսի ինքնիրմէ՝ կը փնտռէ ի՛ր իսկ փառքը, բայց ա՛ն որ կը փնտռէ զինք ղրկողին փառքը՝ անիկա՛ ճշմարտախօս է, եւ անոր քով անիրաւութիւն չկայ:
যি জনে নিজৰ পৰা কথা কয়, তেওঁ নিজৰ মৰ্যদা বিচাৰে; কিন্তু কোনো জনে যদি পঠোৱা জনৰ গৌৰৱ বিচাৰে, তেনেহলে তেওঁ সত্য, আৰু তেওঁৰ ভিতৰত একো অসাধুতা নাই।

যারা নিজের থেকে বলে তারা নিজেদেরই গৌরব খোঁজ করে কিন্তু যারা তাঁর সম্মান খোঁজ করে যিনি তাদের পাঠিয়েছেন তিনিই সত্য এবং তাঁতে কোন অধর্ম্ম নেই।
যে নিজের জ্ঞানের কথা বলে, সে তার গৌরবপ্রাপ্তির জন্যই তা করে, কিন্তু যে তার প্রেরণকর্তার গৌরবের জন্য কাজ করে, সে সত্যবাদী পুরুষ। তার মধ্যে কোনো মিথ্যাচার নেই।

Tko sam od sebe govori, svoju slavu traži, a tko traži slavu onoga koji ga posla, taj je istinit i nema u njemu nepravednosti.
