उनका समाचार सुनते ही बाबेल के राजा के हाथ पाँव ढीले पड़ गए, और उसको जच्चा की सी पीड़ाएँ उठी।
बाबेल के राजा को इसकी सूचना प्राप्त हो चुकी है, उसके हाथ ढीले पड़ चुके हैं. पीड़ा ने उसे अपने अधीन कर रखा है, वैसी ही पीड़ा जैसी प्रसूता की होती है.
