We said to my lord, ‘The boy cannot leave his father, for if he should leave his father, his father would die.’
فَقُلْنَا لِسَيِّدِي: لَا يَقْدِرُ ٱلْغُلَامُ أَنْ يَتْرُكَ أَبَاهُ، وَإِنْ تَرَكَ أَبَاهُ يَمُوتُ. |
فَقُلْنَا لِسَيِّدِي: لَا يَقْدِرُ الْغُلامُ أَنْ يَتْرُكَ أَبَاهُ لِئَلّا يَمُوتَ أَبُوهُ إِذَا فَارَقَهُ. |

तब हमने अपने प्रभु से कहा था, ‘वह लड़का अपने पिता को नहीं छोड़ सकता; नहीं तो उसका पिता मर जाएगा।’
किंतु हमने अपने अधिपति से निवेदन किया था, ‘यह किशोर अपने पिता से दूर नहीं रह सकता, क्योंकि यदि उसे पिता से दूर किया जाएगा, तो उसके पिता की मृत्यु हो जाएगी.’

ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੁੰਡਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਕਦਾ। ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡੇ ਤਾਂ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
