He said, "My son shall not go down with you; for his brother is dead, and he only is left. If harm happens to him along the way in which you go, then you will bring down my gray hairs with sorrow to Sheol (Sheol )."
فَقَالَ: «لَا يَنْزِلُ ٱبْنِي مَعَكُمْ، لِأَنَّ أَخَاهُ قَدْ مَاتَ، وَهُوَ وَحْدَهُ بَاقٍ. فَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ أَذِيَّةٌ فِي ٱلطَّرِيقِ ٱلَّتِي تَذْهَبُونَ فِيهَا تُنْزِلُونَ شَيْبَتِي بِحُزْنٍ إِلَى ٱلْهَاوِيَةِ». (Sheol ) |
فَقَالَ: «لَنْ يَذْهَبَ ابْنِي مَعَكُمْ، فَقَدْ مَاتَ أَخُوهُ، وَهُوَ وَحْدَهُ بَاقٍ. فَإِنْ نَالَهُ مَكْرُوهٌ فِي الطَّرِيقِ الَّتِي تَذْهَبُونَ فِيهَا، فَإِنَّكُمْ تُنْزِلُونَ شَيْبَتِي بِحُزْنٍ إِلَى قَبْرِي». (Sheol ) |

Yaqub dedi: «Oğlum sizinlə getməyəcək, çünki onun qardaşı ölüb və tək qalıb. Əgər getdiyiniz yolda onun başına bir iş gəlsə, mənim ağ saçlı başımı kədər içində ölülər diyarına endirəcəksiniz». (Sheol )

But Jacob said, “No, I will not let my son go down there with you. His [older] brother is dead, and he is the only [one of my wife Rachel’s] sons who is left! If something harms him while you are traveling, you would cause me, a gray-haired old man, to die because of sorrow.” (Sheol )

Er aber sprach: Mein Sohn soll nicht mit euch hinabziehen; denn sein Bruder ist tot, und er allein ist übriggeblieben, und begegnete ihm ein Unfall auf dem Wege, auf welchem ihr ziehet, so würdet ihr mein graues Haar mit Kummer hinabbringen in den Scheol. (Sheol )
