God called the light “day”, and the darkness he called “night”. There was evening and there was morning, the first day.

ದೇವರು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನೂ ಬೇರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ ಬೆಳಕಿಗೆ “ಹಗಲು” ಎಂದೂ, ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ “ಇರುಳು” ಎಂದೂ ಹೆಸರಿಟ್ಟನು. ಹೀಗೆ ಸಾಯಂಕಾಲವೂ ಉದಯಕಾಲವೂ ಆಗಿ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ದಿನವಾಯಿತು.

အလင်း ကို နေ့ဟူသောအမည်ဖြင့်၎င်း ၊ မှောင်မိုက် ကို ညဉ့် ဟူသောအမည်ဖြင့်၎င်း ၊ ခေါ်ဝေါ် သမုတ် တော်မူ၍ ည ဦးနှင့် နံနက် သည် ပဌမ နေ့ရက် ဖြစ် လေ၏။
