In the morning you will say, “I wish it were evening!” and at evening you will say, “I wish it were morning!” for the fear of your heart which you will fear, and for the sights which your eyes will see.
فِي ٱلصَّبَاحِ تَقُولُ: يَا لَيْتَهُ ٱلْمَسَاءُ، وَفِي ٱلْمَسَاءِ تَقُولُ: يَا لَيْتَهُ ٱلصَّبَاحُ، مِنِ ٱرْتِعَابِ قَلْبِكَ ٱلَّذِي تَرْتَعِبُ، وَمِنْ مَنْظَرِ عَيْنَيْكَ ٱلَّذِي تَنْظُرُ.
وَتَقُولُونَ فِي الصَّبَاحِ: يَا لَيْتَهُ الْمَسَاءُ، وَفِي الْمَسَاءِ: يَا لَيْتَهُ الصَّبَاحُ، مِنْ فَرْطِ ارْتِعَابِ قُلُوبِكُمْ وَمَا تَشْهَدُهُ عُيُونُكُمْ مِنْ هَوْلٍ.

בבקר תאמר מי יתן ערב ובערב תאמר מי יתן בקר מפחד לבבך אשר תפחד וממראה עיניך אשר תראה׃
