فَصَارَتِ ٱلْغَلَبَةُ فِي ذَلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ مَنَاحَةً عِنْدَ جَمِيعِ ٱلشَّعْبِ، لِأَنَّ ٱلشَّعْبَ سَمِعُوا فِي ذَلِكَ ٱلْيَوْمِ مَنْ يَقُولُ إِنَّ ٱلْمَلِكَ قَدْ تَأَسَّفَ عَلَى ٱبْنِهِ.
فَتَحَوَّلَ النَّصْرُ فِي ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ لَدَى جَمِيعِ الْجَيْشِ إِلَى مَنَاحَةٍ، إِذْ شَاعَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَنَّ الْمَلِكَ قَدْ حَزِنَ جِدّاً عَلَى مَصْرَعِ ابْنِهِ.
সেই দিনাখনৰ জয় সকলো সৈন্যৰ পক্ষে শোক হৈ পৰিল, কাৰণ সেইদিনা লোকসকলে, “ৰজাই নিজ পুত্ৰৰ বিষয়ে বেজাৰ কৰিছে বুলি শুনিলে।”

וַתְּהִי הַתְּשֻׁעָה בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא לְאֵבֶל לְכָל־הָעָם כִּֽי־שָׁמַע הָעָם בַּיּוֹם הַהוּא לֵאמֹר נֶעֱצַב הַמֶּלֶךְ עַל־בְּנֽוֹ׃
וַתְּהִ֨י הַתְּשֻׁעָ֜ה בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֛וּא לְאֵ֖בֶל לְכָל־הָעָ֑ם כִּֽי־שָׁמַ֣ע הָעָ֗ם בַּיּ֤וֹם הַהוּא֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר נֶעֱצַ֥ב הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ עַל־בְּנֽוֹ׃
इसलिए उस दिन की विजय सब लोगों की समझ में विलाप ही का कारण बन गई; क्योंकि लोगों ने उस दिन सुना, कि राजा अपने बेटे के लिये खेदित है।
तब उस दिन विजय का हर्ष सारी सेना के लिए विलाप में बदल गया; क्योंकि सेना को यह बताया गया था, “महाराज अपने पुत्र के लिए रो रहे है.” उस दिन की जीत की खुशी गहरी उदासी में बदल गई थी.

Para tentara juga mendengar bahwa raja meratapi anaknya, sehingga kemenangan hari itu justru menjadi suasana perkabungan.
