< Song of Solomon 5 >

1 Mo ti dé inú ọgbà mi, arábìnrin mi, ìyàwó mi; mo ti kó òjìá pẹ̀lú òórùn dídùn mi jọ. Mo ti jẹ afárá mi pẹ̀lú oyin mi; mo ti mu ọtí wáìnì mi pẹ̀lú wàrà mi. Ọ̀rẹ́ Ẹ jẹ, ẹ̀yin ọ̀rẹ́, ẹ mu, àní ẹ mu àmuyó, ẹ̀yin olùfẹ́.
Let my kinsman come down into his garden, and eat the fruit of his choice berries. I am come into my garden, my sister, [my] spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spices; I have eaten my bread with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk. Eat, O friends, and drink; yea, brethren, drink abundantly.
2 Mo ti sùn ṣùgbọ́n ọkàn mi jí. Gbọ́! Olólùfẹ́ mi ń kan ìlẹ̀kùn. “Ṣí i fún mi, arábìnrin mi, olùfẹ́ mi, àdàbà mi, aláìlábàwọ́n mi, orí mi kún fún omi ìrì, irun mi kún fún òtútù òru.”
I sleep, but my heart is awake: the voice of my kinsman knocks at the door, [saying], Open, open to me, my companion, my sister, my dove, my perfect one: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.
3 Mo ti bọ́ aṣọ ìgúnwà mi ṣé èmi gbọdọ̀ tún gbé e wọ̀? Mo ti wẹ ẹsẹ̀ mi ṣé èmi gbọdọ̀ tún tì í bọ eruku?
I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet, how shall I defile them?
4 Olùfẹ́ mi na ọwọ́ rẹ̀ láti inú ihò ìlẹ̀kùn inú mi sì yọ́ sí i.
My kinsman put forth his hand by the hole [of the door], and my belly moved for him.
5 Èmi dìde láti ṣílẹ̀kùn fún olùfẹ́ mi, òjìá bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí í kán ní ọwọ́ mi, òjìá olóòórùn ń ti ara ìka mi ń sàn sí orí ìdìmú ìlẹ̀kùn.
I rose up to open to my kinsman; my hands dropped myrrh, my fingers choice myrrh, on the handles of the lock.
6 Èmi ṣí ìlẹ̀kùn fún olùfẹ́ mi, ṣùgbọ́n olùfẹ́ mi ti kúrò, ó ti lọ ọkàn mi gbọgbẹ́ fún lílọ rẹ̀. Mo wá a kiri ṣùgbọ́n, n kò rí i. Mo pè é ṣùgbọ́n, kò dáhùn.
I opened to my kinsman; my kinsman was gone: my soul failed at his speech: I sought him, but found him not; I called him, but he answered me not.
7 Àwọn olùṣọ́ tí ń ṣọ́ ìlú rí mi bí wọ́n ti ṣe ń rìn yí ìlú ká. Wọ́n nà mí, wọ́n sá mi lọ́gbẹ́; wọ́n gba ìborùn mi lọ́wọ́ mi. Àwọn olùṣọ́ tí ń ṣọ́ odi!
The watchman that go their rounds in the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took away my veil from me.
8 Ẹ̀yin ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu, mo bẹ̀ yín bí ẹ̀yin bá rí olùfẹ́ mi, kí ni ẹ̀yin yóò wí fún un? Ẹ wí fún un pé àìsàn ìfẹ́ ń ṣe mi.
I have charged you, O daughters of Jerusalem, by the powers and the virtues of the field: if ye should find my kinsman, what are ye to say to him? That I am wounded with love.
9 Kí ni olùfẹ́ rẹ fi dára ju àwọn tókù lọ, ìwọ arẹwà jùlọ láàrín àwọn obìnrin? Kí ni olùfẹ́ rẹ fi dára ju àwọn tókù lọ tí ìwọ fi ń fi wá bú bẹ́ẹ̀?
What is thy kinsman [more] than [another] kinsman, O thou beautiful among women? what is thy kinsman [more] than [another] kinsman, that thou hast so charged us?
10 Olùfẹ́ mi ní ìtànṣán ó sì pọ́n ó ní ọlá ju ẹgbẹ̀rún mẹ́wàá lọ.
My kinsman is white and ruddy, chosen out from myriads.
11 Orí rẹ̀ rí bí i wúrà tí ó dára jùlọ ìdì irun rẹ̀ rí bí i imọ̀ ọ̀pẹ ó sì dúdú bí i ẹyẹ ìwò.
His head is [as] very fine gold, his locks are flowing, black as a raven.
12 Ojú rẹ̀ rí bí i ti àdàbà ní ẹ̀bá odò tí ń sàn, tí a fi wàrà wẹ̀, tí ó jì, tí ó sì dákẹ́ rọ́rọ́.
His eyes are as doves, by the pools of waters, washed with milk, sitting by the pools.
13 Ẹ̀rẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ̀ rí bí ibùsùn tùràrí tí ó sun òórùn tùràrí dídùn Ètè rẹ̀ rí bí i ìtànná lílì ó ń kán òjìá olóòórùn dídùn.
His cheeks are as bowls of spices pouring forth perfumes: his lips are lilies, dropping choice myrrh.
14 Apá rẹ̀ rí bí i ọ̀pá wúrà, tí a to ohun ọ̀ṣọ́ sí yíká. Ara rẹ̀ rí bí i eyín erin dídán tí a fi safire ṣe lọ́ṣọ̀ọ́.
His hands are as turned gold set with beryl: his belly is an ivory tablet on a sapphire stone.
15 Ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ rí bí i òpó mabu tí a gbé ka ihò ìtẹ̀bọ̀ wúrà dáradára. Ìrísí rẹ̀ rí bí igi kedari Lebanoni, tí dídára rẹ̀ kò ní ẹgbẹ́.
His legs are marble pillars set on golden sockets: his form is as Libanus, choice as the cedars.
16 Ẹnu rẹ̀ jẹ́ adùn fún ara rẹ̀ ó wu ni pátápátá. Háà! Ẹ̀yin ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu. Èyí ni olùfẹ́ mi, èyí sì ni ọ̀rẹ́ mi.
His throat is most sweet, and altogether desirable. This is my kinsman, and this is my companion, O daughters of Jerusalem.
