< Song of Solomon 3 >
1 Ní orí ibùsùn mi ní òru mo wá ẹni tí ọkàn mí fẹ́; mo wá a, ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò rí i.
By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I found him not.
2 Èmi yóò dìde nísinsin yìí, èmi yóò sì rìn lọ káàkiri ìlú, ní àwọn òpópónà àti ní àwọn gbangba òde; èmi yóò wá ẹni tí ọkàn mi fẹ́. Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni mo wá a ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò rí i.
I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I found him not.
3 Àwọn ọdẹ tí ń ṣọ́ ìlú rí mi bí wọ́n ṣe ń rìn yíká ìlú. “Ǹjẹ́ ìwọ ti rí ẹni tí ọkàn mi fẹ́?”
The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw you him whom my soul loves?
4 Gẹ́rẹ́ tí mo fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ ni mo rí ẹni tí ọkàn mi fẹ́. Mo dìímú, èmi kò sì jẹ́ kí ó lọ títí tí mo fi mú u wá sílé ìyá mi, sínú yàrá ẹni tí ó lóyún mi.
It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loves: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother’s house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.
5 Ẹ̀yin ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu, mo fi àwọn abo egbin àti abo àgbọ̀nrín igbó fi yín bú kí ẹ má ṣe rú olùfẹ́ mi sókè kí ẹ má sì ṣe jí i títí yóò fi wù ú.
I charge you, O you daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that you stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
6 Ta ni ẹni tí ń ti ijù jáde wá bí ọ̀wọ̀n èéfín tí a ti fi òjìá àti tùràrí kùn lára pẹ̀lú gbogbo ìpara olóòórùn oníṣòwò?
Who is this that comes out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?
7 Wò ó! Àkéte rẹ̀ tí í ṣe ti Solomoni, àwọn akọni ọgọ́ta ni ó wà yí i ká, àwọn akọni Israẹli,
Behold his bed, which is Solomon’s; three score valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel.

They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man has his sword on his thigh because of fear in the night.
9 Solomoni ọba ṣe àkéte fún ara rẹ̀; o fi igi Lebanoni ṣe é.
King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon.
10 Ó fi fàdákà ṣe òpó rẹ̀, o fi wúrà ṣe ibi ẹ̀yìn rẹ̀. Ó fi elése àlùkò ṣe ibùjókòó rẹ̀, inú rẹ̀ ni ó ko àwọn ọ̀rọ̀ ìfẹ́ wọ̀nyí sí. “Pẹ̀lú ìfẹ́ láti ọ̀dọ̀ àwọn ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu.”
He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the middle thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem.
11 Ẹ jáde wá, ẹ̀yin ọmọbìnrin Sioni, kí ẹ sì wo ọba Solomoni tí ó dé adé, adé tí ìyá rẹ̀ fi dé e ní ọjọ́ ìgbéyàwó rẹ̀, ní ọjọ́ ayọ̀ ọkàn rẹ̀.
Go forth, O you daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown with which his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
