< Song of Solomon 2 >
1 Èmi ni ìtànná Ṣaroni bí ìtànná lílì àwọn àfonífojì.
I am the rose of Sharon, and the lily of the valleys.
2 Bí ìtànná lílì ní àárín ẹ̀gún ni olólùfẹ́ mi ní àárín àwọn wúńdíá.
As the lily among thorns, so is my love among the daughters.
3 Bí igi ápù láàrín àwọn igi inú igbó, ni olólùfẹ́ mí láàrín àwọn ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin. Mo fi ayọ̀ jókòó ní abẹ́ òjìji rẹ̀, èso rẹ̀ sì dùn mọ́ mi ní ẹnu.
As the apple tree among the trees of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.
4 Ó mú mi lọ sí ibi gbọ̀ngàn àsè, ìfẹ́ sì ni ọ̀págun rẹ̀ lórí mi.
He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love.
5 Fi agbára adùn àkàrà dá mi dúró. Fi èso ápù tù mi lára nítorí àìsàn ìfẹ́ ń ṣe mí.
Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love.
6 Ọwọ́ òsì rẹ ń bẹ lábẹ́ orí mi ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ sì ń gbà mí mọ́ra.
His left hand is under my head, and his right hand doth embrace me.
7 Ẹ̀yin ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu, mo fi abo egbin àti ọmọ àgbọ̀nrín fi yín bú kí ẹ má ṣe ru ìfẹ́ olùfẹ́ mi sókè kí ẹ má sì ṣe jí i títí yóò fi wù ú.
I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.
8 Gbọ́ ohùn olùfẹ́ mi! Wò ó! Ibí yìí ni ó ń bọ̀. Òun ń fò lórí àwọn òkè ńlá, òun bẹ́ lórí àwọn òkè kéékèèké.
The voice of my beloved! behold, he cometh leaping upon the mountains, skipping upon the hills.
9 Olùfẹ́ mi dàbí abo egbin tàbí ọmọ àgbọ̀nrín. Wò ó! Níbẹ̀ ni ó wà lẹ́yìn ògiri wa Ó yọjú ní ojú fèrèsé Ó ń fi ara rẹ̀ hàn lójú fèrèsé ọlọ́nà.
My beloved is like a roe or a young hart: behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice.
10 Olùfẹ́ mi fọhùn ó sì sọ fún mi pé, “Dìde, Olólùfẹ́ mi, arẹwà mi, kí o sì wà pẹ̀lú mi.
My beloved spake, and said unto me, Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
11 Wò ó! Ìgbà òtútù ti kọjá; òjò ti rọ̀ dawọ́, ó sì ti lọ.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
12 Àwọn òdòdó fi ara hàn lórí ilẹ̀ àsìkò ìkọrin àwọn ẹyẹ dé a sì gbọ́ ohùn àdàbà ní ilẹ̀ wa.
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
13 Igi ọ̀pọ̀tọ́ mú èso tuntun jáde, àwọn àjàrà nípa ìtànná wọ́n fún ni ní òórùn dídùn. Dìde, wá, Olólùfẹ́ mi, Arẹwà mi nìkan ṣoṣo, wá pẹ̀lú mi.”
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell. Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.
14 Àdàbà mi wà nínú pàlàpálá òkúta, ní ibi ìkọ̀kọ̀ ní orí òkè gíga, fi ojú rẹ hàn mí, jẹ́ kí èmi gbọ́ ohùn rẹ; nítorí tí ohùn rẹ dùn, tí ojú rẹ sì ní ẹwà.
O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice; for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.
15 Bá wa mú àwọn kọ̀lọ̀kọ̀lọ̀, àní àwọn kọ̀lọ̀kọ̀lọ̀ kéékèèké tí ń ba ọgbà àjàrà jẹ́, àwọn ọgbà àjàrà wa tó ní ìtànná.
Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.
16 Olùfẹ́ mi ni tèmi èmi sì ni tirẹ̀; Ó ń jẹ láàrín àwọn koríko lílì.
My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feedeth among the lilies.
17 Títí ìgbà ìtura ọjọ́ títí òjìji yóò fi fò lọ, yípadà, olùfẹ́ mi, kí o sì dàbí abo egbin tàbí ọmọ àgbọ̀nrín lórí òkè Beteri.
Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.
