< Song of Solomon 1 >
1 Orin, àwọn orin tí í ṣe orin Solomoni.
This is Solomon’s Song of Songs.
2 Fi ìfẹnukonu ìfẹ́ kò mí ní ẹnu, nítorí ìfẹ́ rẹ dára ju ọtí wáìnì lọ.
Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your love is more delightful than wine.
3 Òórùn ìkunra rẹ fanimọ́ra. Orúkọ rẹ rí bí ìkunra tí a tú jáde abájọ tí àwọn wúńdíá fi fẹ́ ọ.
The fragrance of your perfume is pleasing; your name is like perfume poured out. No wonder the maidens adore you.
4 Fà mí lọ pẹ̀lú rẹ, kí a lọ kíákíá ọba ti mú mi wá sínú yàrá rẹ̀. Ọ̀rẹ́ Àwa yọ̀ inú wa sì dùn sí ọ; a gbé ìfẹ́ rẹ ga ju ọtí wáìnì lọ. Olólùfẹ́ Wọ́n fẹ́ ọ nítòótọ́!
Take me away with you—let us hurry! May the king bring me to his chambers. We will rejoice and delight in you; we will praise your love more than wine. It is only right that they adore you.
5 Èmi dúdú mo sì ní ẹwà. Ẹ̀yin ọmọbìnrin Jerusalẹmu dúdú bí àgọ́ ìlú Kedari, bí aṣọ títa ti Solomoni.
I am dark, yet lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon.
6 Má ṣe wò mí nítorí wí pé mo dúdú, nítorí oòrùn mú mi dúdú, ọmọkùnrin ìyá mi bínú sí mi ó sì fi mí ṣe olùtọ́jú ọgbà àjàrà; ọgbà àjàrà tèmi ni èmi kò tọ́jú.
Do not stare because I am dark, for the sun has gazed upon me. My mother’s sons were angry with me; they made me a keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have neglected.
7 Wí fún mi, ìwọ ẹni tí ọkàn mí fẹ́, níbo ni ìwọ ń da agbo ẹran lọ. Níbi tí ìwọ mú agbo ẹran rẹ sinmi ní ọ̀sán, kí ni ìdí tí èmi yóò fi jẹ́ obìnrin asán ní ẹ̀bá agbo ẹran àwọn ọ̀rẹ́ rẹ.
Tell me, O one I love, where do you pasture your sheep? Where do you rest them at midday? Why should I be like a veiled woman beside the flocks of your companions?
8 Bí ìwọ kò bá mọ̀, ìwọ arẹwà jùlọ nínú àwọn obìnrin. Bá ọ̀nà tí agbo ẹran rìn lọ, kí o sì bọ́ àwọn ọmọ ewúrẹ́ rẹ. Ní ẹ̀bá àgọ́ àwọn olùṣọ́-àgùntàn.
If you do not know, O fairest of women, follow the tracks of the flock, and graze your young goats near the tents of the shepherds.
9 Olùfẹ́ mi, mo fi ọ́ wé ẹṣin mi nínú kẹ̀kẹ́ Farao.
I compare you, my darling, to a mare among Pharaoh’s chariots.
10 Ẹ̀rẹ̀kẹ́ rẹ dára ní ohun ọ̀ṣọ́, ọrùn rẹ sì yẹ ọ̀ṣọ́ ìlẹ̀kẹ̀.
Your cheeks are beautiful with ornaments, your neck with strings of jewels.
11 A ó fi wúrà ṣe òrùka etí fún ọ, a ó fi fàdákà ṣe ìlẹ̀kẹ̀.
We will make you ornaments of gold, studded with beads of silver.
12 Nígbà tí ọba wà ní orí ìjókòó rẹ̀, òróró ìkunra mi tú òórùn jáde.
While the king was at his table, my perfume spread its fragrance.
13 Ìdì òjìá ni olùfẹ́ mi jẹ sí mi, òun ó sinmi lé àárín ọmú mi.
My beloved is to me a sachet of myrrh resting between my breasts.
14 Bí ìdì ìtànná Henina ni olùfẹ́ mi rí sí mi láti inú ọgbà àjàrà ti En-Gedi.
My beloved is to me a cluster of henna blossoms in the vineyards of En-gedi.
15 Báwo ni o ti lẹ́wà tó, olólùfẹ́ mi! Háà, báwo ni o ṣe lẹ́wà tó! Ìwọ ní ojú ẹyẹlé.
How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how very beautiful! Your eyes are like doves.
16 Báwo ni o ṣe dára tó, olùfẹ́ mi! Háà, báwo ni o ṣe wu ni! Ibùsùn wa ní ìtura.
How handsome you are, my beloved! Oh, how delightful! The soft grass is our bed.
17 Ìtànṣán ilé wa jẹ́ ti igi kedari ẹkẹ́ ilé wa jẹ́ ti igi firi.
The beams of our house are cedars; our rafters are fragrant firs.
