< Romans 15 >

1 Àwa tí a jẹ́ alágbára nínú ìgbàgbọ́ yẹ kí ó máa ru ẹrù àìlera àwọn aláìlera, kí a má sì ṣe ohun tí ó wu ara wa.
We who are strong ought to bear with the shortcomings of the weak and not to please ourselves.
2 Olúkúlùkù wa gbọdọ̀ máa ṣe ohun tí ó wu ọmọnìkejì rẹ̀ sí rere, láti gbé e ró.
Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up.
3 Nítorí Kristi pàápàá kò ṣe ohun tí ó wu ara rẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n bí a ti kọ ọ́ pé, “Ẹ̀gàn àwọn ẹni tí ń gàn ọ́ ṣubú lù mi.”
For even Christ did not please Himself, but as it is written: “The insults of those who insult You have fallen on Me.”
4 Nítorí ohun gbogbo tí a kọ tẹ́lẹ̀, ni a kọ láti fi kọ́ wa pé, nípa sùúrù àti ìtùnú ìwé mímọ́, kí àwa lè ní ìrètí.
For everything that was written in the past was written for our instruction, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures, we might have hope.
5 Kí Ọlọ́run, ẹni tí ń fún ni ní sùúrù àti ìtùnú fún yin láti ní inú kan sí ara yín gẹ́gẹ́ bí i Jesu Kristi,
Now may the God who gives endurance and encouragement grant you harmony with one another in Christ Jesus,
6 kí ẹ̀yin kí ó lè fi ọkàn kan àti ẹnu kan fi ògo fún Ọlọ́run, Baba Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi.
so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7 Nítorí náà ẹ gba ara yín mọ́ra, gẹ́gẹ́ bí Kristi ti gbà wá mọ́ra fún ògo Ọlọ́run.
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring glory to God.
8 Mo sì wí pé, a rán Kristi láti ṣe ìránṣẹ́ ìkọlà àwọn tí ṣe Júù nítorí òtítọ́ Ọlọ́run, láti fi ìdí àwọn ìlérí tí a ti ṣe fún àwọn baba múlẹ̀,
For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the circumcised on behalf of God’s truth, to confirm the promises made to the patriarchs,
9 kí àwọn aláìkọlà kí ó lè yin Ọlọ́run lógo nítorí àánú rẹ̀; gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti kọ ọ́ pé: “Nítorí èyí ni èmi ó ṣe yìn ọ́ láàrín àwọn Kèfèrí, Èmi ó sì kọrin sí orúkọ rẹ.”
so that the Gentiles may glorify God for His mercy. As it is written: “Therefore I will praise You among the Gentiles; I will sing hymns to Your name.”
10 Ó sì tún wí pé, “Ẹ̀yin Kèfèrí, ẹ ma yọ̀, pẹ̀lú àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀.”
Again, it says: “Rejoice, O Gentiles, with His people.”
11 Àti pẹ̀lú, “Ẹyin Olúwa, gbogbo ẹ̀yin Kèfèrí; ẹ kọ orin ìyìn sí, ẹ̀yin ènìyàn gbogbo.”
And again: “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles, and extol Him, all you peoples.”
12 Isaiah sì tún wí pé, “Gbòǹgbò Jese kan ń bọ̀ wá, òun ni ẹni tí yóò dìde ṣe àkóso àwọn Kèfèrí; Àwọn Kèfèrí yóò ní ìrètí nínú rẹ̀.”
And once more, Isaiah says: “The Root of Jesse will appear, One who will arise to rule over the Gentiles; in Him the Gentiles will put their hope.”
13 Ǹjẹ́ kí Ọlọ́run ìrètí kí ó fi gbogbo ayọ̀ òun àlàáfíà kún yín bí ẹ̀yin ti gbà á gbọ́, kí ẹ̀yin kí ó lè pọ̀ ní ìrètí nípa agbára Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́.
Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
14 Ẹ̀yin ará, èmi gan alára ti ní ìdánilójú, pé ẹ̀yin pàápàá kún fún oore, a sì fi gbogbo ìmọ̀ kún un yín, ẹ̀yin sì jáfáfá láti máa kọ́ ara yín.
I myself am convinced, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, brimming with knowledge, and able to instruct one another.
15 Síbẹ̀ mo ti fi ìgboyà kọ̀wé sí yín lórí àwọn kókó-ọ̀rọ̀ kan, bí ẹni ti ń rán yín létí àwọn kókó-ọ̀rọ̀ náà, nítorí oore-ọ̀fẹ́ tí a ti fi fún mi láti ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run
However, I have written you a bold reminder on some points, because of the grace God has given me
16 láti jẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ Kristi Jesu láàrín àwọn Kèfèrí láti polongo ìyìnrere Ọlọ́run gẹ́gẹ́ bí ojúṣe àlùfáà, kí àwọn Kèfèrí lè jẹ́ ẹbọ ọrẹ ìtẹ́wọ́gbà fún Ọlọ́run, èyí tí a ti fi Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ yà sí mímọ́.
to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the Gentiles might become an offering acceptable to God, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17 Nítorí náà, mo ní ìṣògo nínú Kristi Jesu nínú iṣẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ mi fún Ọlọ́run.
Therefore I exult in Christ Jesus in my service to God.
18 Èmi kò sá à gbọdọ̀ sọ ohun kan bí kò ṣe èyí tí Kristi ti ọwọ́ mi ṣe, ní títọ́ àwọn Kèfèrí ṣọ́nà láti ṣe ìgbọ́ràn sí ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run nípa ọ̀rọ̀ àti ìṣe mi,
I will not presume to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me in leading the Gentiles to obedience by word and deed,
19 nípa agbára iṣẹ́ àmì àti iṣẹ́ ìyanu, nípa agbára Ẹ̀mí Ọlọ́run, tó bẹ́ẹ̀ láti Jerusalẹmu àti yíkákiri, àní títí fi dé Illirikoni, mo ti polongo ìyìnrere Kristi ní ẹ̀kúnrẹ́rẹ́.
by the power of signs and wonders, and by the power of the Spirit of God. So from Jerusalem all the way around to Illyricum, I have fully proclaimed the gospel of Christ.
20 Ó jẹ́ èrò mi ní gbogbo ìgbà láti wàásù ìyìnrere Kristi ní ibi gbogbo tí wọn kò tí ì mọ̀ ọ́n, kí èmi kí ó má ṣe máa mọ àmọlé lórí ìpìlẹ̀ ẹlòmíràn.
In this way I have aspired to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation.
21 Ṣùgbọ́n, gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti kọ ọ́ pé: “Àwọn ẹni tí a kò tí ì sọ ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ fún yóò rí i, àti àwọn tí kò tí ì gbọ́, òye yóò sì yé.”
Rather, as it is written: “Those who were not told about Him will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”
22 Ìdí nìyìí tí ààyè fi há pẹ́ tó bẹ́ẹ̀ fún mi kí n tó tọ̀ yín wa.
That is why I have often been hindered from coming to you.
23 Ṣùgbọ́n báyìí tí kò tún sí ibòmíràn fún mi mọ́ láti ṣiṣẹ́ ní ẹkùn yìí, tí èmi sì ti ń pòǹgbẹ láti ọdún púpọ̀ sẹ́yìn láti bẹ́ yín wò,
But now that there are no further opportunities for me in these regions, and since I have longed for many years to visit you,
24 mo gbèrò láti ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ nígbà tí mo bá lọ sí Spania. Èmi yóò rí i yín ní ọ̀nà àjò mi, àti pé ẹ ó mú mi já ọ̀nà níbẹ̀ láti ọ̀dọ̀ yín lọ, lẹ́yìn tí mo bá gbádùn ẹgbẹ́ yín fún ìgbà díẹ̀.
I hope to see you on my way to Spain. And after I have enjoyed your company for a while, you can equip me for my journey.
25 Ṣùgbọ́n ní báyìí, mo ń lọ sí Jerusalẹmu láti sé ìránṣẹ́ fún àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ níbẹ̀.
Now, however, I am on my way to Jerusalem to serve the saints there.
26 Nítorí pé ó wu àwọn tí ó wà ní Makedonia àti Akaia láti kó owó jọ fún àwọn tálákà tí ó wà ní àárín àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ ní Jerusalẹmu.
For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a contribution for the poor among the saints in Jerusalem.
27 Pẹ̀lú ayọ̀ ni wọ́n ń ṣe èyí, nítorí wọ́n gbà wí pé, wọ́n jẹ́ ajigbèsè fún wọn. Nítorí bí ó bá ṣe pé a fi àwọn Kèfèrí ṣe alájọni nínú ohun ẹ̀mí wọn, ajigbèsè sì ni wọn láti fi ohun ti ara ta wọ́n lọ́rẹ.
They were pleased to do it, and indeed they owe it to them. For if the Gentiles have shared in their spiritual blessings, they are obligated to minister to them with material blessings.
28 Nítorí náà, nígbà tí mo bá ti ṣe èyí tán, tí mo bá sì di èdìdì èso náà fún wọn tán, èmi yóò ti ọ̀dọ̀ yín lọ sí Spania.
So after I have completed this service and have safely delivered this bounty to them, I will set off to Spain by way of you.
29 Mo sì mọ̀ pé nígbà tí mo bá dé ọ̀dọ̀ yín, èmi yóò wà ní ẹ̀kúnrẹ́rẹ́ ìbùkún ìyìnrere Kristi.
I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of Christ.
30 Èmí rọ̀ yín, ẹ̀yin arákùnrin àti arábìnrin, nítorí Olúwa wa Jesu Kristi, àti nítorí ìfẹ́ Ẹ̀mí, kí ẹ̀yin kí ó kún mi láti bá mi làkàkà nínú àdúrà yín sí Ọlọ́run fún mi.
Now I urge you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in my struggle by praying to God for me.
31 Kí a lè kó mi yọ kúrò lọ́wọ́ àwọn aláìgbàgbọ́ ní Judea àti kí iṣẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ tí mo ní sí Jerusalẹmu le jẹ́ ìtẹ́wọ́gbà lọ́dọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ níbẹ̀,
Pray that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service in Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints there,
32 kí èmi le fi ayọ̀ tọ̀ yín wa, nípa ìfẹ́ Ọlọ́run, àti kí èmi lè ní ìtura pọ̀ pẹ̀lú yín.
so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and together with you be refreshed.
33 Kí Ọlọ́run àlàáfíà wà pẹ̀lú gbogbo yín. Àmín.
The God of peace be with all of you. Amen.
