< Revelation 2 >
1 “Sí angẹli ìjọ ní Efesu kọ̀wé: Nǹkan wọ̀nyí ní ẹni tí ó mú ìràwọ̀ méje náà ni ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ̀ wí, ẹni tí ń rìn ní àárín ọ̀pá wúrà fìtílà méje.
"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: "He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lampstands says these things:
2 Èmi mọ iṣẹ́ rẹ, àti làálàá rẹ, àti ìfaradà rẹ, àti bí ara rẹ kò ti gba àwọn ẹni búburú, àti bí ìwọ sì ti dán àwọn tí ń pe ara wọn ní aposteli, tí wọ́n kì í sì í ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀ wo, tí ìwọ sì rí pé èké ni wọ́n,
"I know your works, and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate those who are evil, and have tested those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and found them false.
3 tí ìwọ sì faradà ìyà, àti nítorí orúkọ mi tí ó sì rọ́jú, tí àárẹ̀ kò sì mú ọ.
You have perseverance and have endured for my name's sake, and have not grown weary.
4 Síbẹ̀ èyí ni mo rí wí sí ọ, pé, ìwọ ti fi ìfẹ́ ìṣáájú rẹ sílẹ̀.
But I have this against you, that you left your first love.
5 Rántí ibi tí ìwọ ti gbé ṣubú! Ronúpìwàdà, kí ó sì ṣe iṣẹ́ ìṣáájú; bí kò sì ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, èmi ó sì tọ̀ ọ́ wá, èmi ó sì ṣí ọ̀pá fìtílà rẹ̀ kúrò ní ipò rẹ̀, bí kò ṣe bí ìwọ bá ronúpìwàdà.
Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you, and will move your lampstand out of its place, unless you repent.
6 Ṣùgbọ́n èyí ni ìwọ ní, pé ìwọ kórìíra ìṣe àwọn Nikolatani, èyí tí èmi pẹ̀lú sì kórìíra.
But this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7 Ẹni tí ó bá ní etí kí ó gbọ́ ohun tí Ẹ̀mí ń sọ fún àwọn ìjọ. Ẹni tí ó bá ṣẹ́gun ni èmi yóò fi èso igi ìyè nì fún jẹ, tí ń bẹ láàrín Paradise Ọlọ́run.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God.
8 “Àti sí angẹli ìjọ ní Smirna kọ̀wé. Nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni ẹni tí í ṣe ẹni ìṣáájú àti ẹni ìkẹyìn wí, ẹni tí ó ti kú, tí ó sì tún yè.
"To the angel of the church in Smyrna write: "The first and the last, who was dead, and has come to life says these things:
9 Èmi mọ iṣẹ́ rẹ, àti ìpọ́njú, àti àìní rẹ—ṣùgbọ́n ọlọ́rọ̀ ni ọ́, èmi sì mọ ọ̀rọ̀-òdì tí àwọn tí ń wí pé, Júù ni àwọn tìkára wọn, tí wọn kì sì í ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, ṣùgbọ́n tí wọ́n jẹ́ Sinagọgu ti Satani.
"I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich), and the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.
10 Má ṣe bẹ̀rù ohunkóhun tí ìwọ ń bọ wá jìyà rẹ̀. Kíyèsi i, èṣù yóò gbé nínú yín jù sínú túbú, kí a lè dán yin wò; ẹ̀yin ó sì ní ìpọ́njú ní ọjọ́ mẹ́wàá, ìwọ ṣa ṣe olóòtítọ́ dé ojú ikú, èmi ó sì fi adé ìyè fún ọ.
Do not be afraid of the things which you are about to suffer. Look, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested; and you will have oppression for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
11 Ẹni tí ó bá ní etí kí ó gbọ́ ohun tí Ẹ̀mí ń sọ fún àwọn ìjọ. Ẹni tí ó bá ṣẹ́gun kì yóò fi ara pa nínú ikú kejì.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes won't be harmed by the second death.
12 “Àti sì angẹli ìjọ ni Pargamu kọ̀wé. Ọ̀rọ̀ wọ̀nyí ni ẹni tí ó ní idà mímú olójú méjì.
"To the angel of the church in Pergamum write: "He who has the sharp two-edged sword says these things:
13 Èmí mọ̀ ibi tí ìwọ ń gbé, àní ibi tí ìtẹ́ Satani wà. Síbẹ̀ ìwọ di orúkọ mi mú ṣinṣin. Ìwọ kò sì sẹ́ ìgbàgbọ́ nínú mi, pàápàá jùlọ ni ọjọ́ Antipa ẹlẹ́rìí mi, olóòtítọ́ ènìyàn, ẹni tí wọn pa láàrín yín, níbi tí Satani ń gbé.
"I know where you dwell, where Satan's throne is. You hold firmly to my name, and did not deny my faith even in the days of Antipas, my witness, my faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
14 Ṣùgbọ́n mo ni nǹkan díẹ̀ wí sí ọ; nítorí tí ìwọ ní àwọn kan tí ó di ẹ̀kọ́ Balaamu mú síbẹ̀, ẹni tí ó kọ́ Balaki láti mú ohun ìkọ̀sẹ̀ wá síwájú àwọn ọmọ Israẹli, láti máa jẹ ohun tí a pa rú ẹbọ sí òrìṣà, àti láti máa ṣe àgbèrè.
But I have a few things against you, because you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to throw a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality.
15 Bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ìwọ sì ní àwọn tí ó gbá ẹ̀kọ́ àwọn Nikolatani pẹ̀lú, ohun tí mo kórìíra.
So you also have some who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans likewise.
16 Nítorí náà, ronúpìwàdà; bí kò ṣe bẹ́ẹ̀, èmi ó tọ̀ ọ́ wá nísinsin yìí, èmí o sì fi idà ẹnu mi bá wọn jà.
Repent therefore, or else I am coming to you quickly, and I will make war against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 Ẹni tí ó bá létí, kí ó gbọ́ ohun tí Ẹ̀mí ń sọ fún àwọn ìjọ. Ẹni tí o bá ṣẹ́gun ni èmi o fi manna tí ó pamọ́ fún, èmi ó sì fún un ni òkúta funfun kan, àti sára òkúta náà ni a kọ orúkọ tuntun kan, tí ẹnìkan kò mọ̀ bí kò ṣe ẹni tí ó gbà á.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, to him I will give of the hidden manna, and I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written, which no one knows but he who receives it.
18 “Àti sí angẹli ìjọ ní Tiatira kọ̀wé. Nǹkan wọ̀nyí ni Ọmọ Ọlọ́run wí, ẹni tí ojú rẹ̀ dàbí ọ̀wọ́-iná, tí ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀ sì dàbí idẹ dáradára.
"To the angel of the church in Thyatira write: "The Son of God, who has his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like burnished bronze, says these things:
19 Èmi mọ̀ iṣẹ́, ìfẹ́, àti ìgbàgbọ́ àti ìsìn àti sùúrù rẹ̀; àti pé iṣẹ́ rẹ̀ ìkẹyìn ju tí ìṣáájú lọ.
"I know your works, your love, faith, service, patient endurance, and that your last works are more than the first.
20 Ṣùgbọ́n èyí ni mo rí wí sí ọ, nítorí tí ìwọ fi ààyè sílẹ̀ fún obìnrin Jesebeli tí ó ń pe ara rẹ̀ ní wòlíì. Nípasẹ̀ ẹ̀kọ́ rẹ̀, ó sì ń kọ́ àwọn ìránṣẹ́ mi, ó sì ń tàn wọ́n láti máa ṣe àgbèrè, àti láti máa jẹ ohun tí a pa rú ẹbọ sì òrìṣà.
But I have this against you, that you tolerate the woman, Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
21 Èmi fi àkókò fún un, láti ronúpìwàdà; ṣùgbọ́n òun kò fẹ́ ronúpìwàdà àgbèrè rẹ̀.
I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.
22 Nítorí náà, èmi ó gbé e sọ sí orí àkéte ìpọ́njú, àti àwọn tí ń bá a ṣe panṣágà ni èmi ó fi sínú ìpọ́njú ńlá, bí kò ṣe bí wọ́n bá ronúpìwàdà iṣẹ́ wọn.
Look, I will throw her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great oppression, unless they repent of her works.
23 Èmi o pa àwọn ọmọ rẹ̀ run; gbogbo ìjọ ni yóò sì mọ̀ pé, èmi ni ẹni tí ń wádìí inú àti ọkàn, èmi ó sì fi fún olúkúlùkù yín gẹ́gẹ́ bí iṣẹ́ rẹ̀.
I will kill her children with Death, and all the churches will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
24 Ṣùgbọ́n ẹ̀yin ni mò ń sọ fún, ẹ̀yin ìyókù tí ń bẹ ní Tiatira, gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí kò ni ẹ̀kọ́ yìí, ti kò ì tí ì mọ̀ ohun tí wọn pè ni ohun ìjìnlẹ̀ Satani, èmi kò di ẹrù mìíràn rù yín,
But to you I say, to the rest who are in Thyatira, as many as do not have this teaching, who do not know what some call 'the deep things of Satan,' to you I say, I am not putting any other burden on you.
25 ṣùgbọ́n èyí tí ẹ̀yin ní, ẹ di mú ṣinṣin títí èmi ó fi dé.
Nevertheless, hold that which you have firmly until I come.
26 Ẹni tí ó bá sì ṣẹ́gun, àti tí ó sì ṣe ìfẹ́ mi títí dé òpin, èmi ó fún un láṣẹ lórí àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè:
He who overcomes, and he who keeps my works to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.
27 ‘Òun ó sì máa fi ọ̀pá irin ṣe àkóso wọn; gẹ́gẹ́ bí a ti ń fọ́ ohun èlò amọ̀kòkò ni a ó fọ́ wọn túútúú,’ gẹ́gẹ́ bí èmi pẹ̀lú tí gbà àṣẹ láti ọ̀dọ̀ Baba mi.
He will rule them with an iron scepter, shattering them like clay pots; as I also have received of my Father:
28 Èmi yóò sì fi ìràwọ̀ òwúrọ̀ fún un.
and I will give him the morning star.
29 Ẹni tí ó bá létí, kí ó gbọ́ ohun tí Ẹ̀mí ń sọ fún àwọn ìjọ.
He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
