< Revelation 12 >
1 Àmì ńlá kan sì hàn ni ọ̀run; obìnrin kan tí a fi oòrùn wọ̀ ní aṣọ, òṣùpá sì ń bẹ lábẹ́ ẹsẹ̀ rẹ̀, adé oníràwọ̀ méjìlá sì ń bẹ lórí rẹ̀.
And a great sign was seen in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a diadem of twelve stars.
2 Ó sì lóyún, ó sì kígbe ni ìrọbí, ó sì wà ni ìrora àti bímọ.
She was with child; and she cried out, travailing in birth, in anguish to be delivered.
3 Àmì mìíràn sì hàn ní ọ̀run; sì kíyèsi i, dragoni pupa ńlá kan, tí ó ní orí méje àti ìwo mẹ́wàá, àti adé méje ní orí rẹ̀.
And another sign was seen in heaven; and lo, a great red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and upon his head seven diadems.
4 Ìrù rẹ̀ sì wọ́ ìdámẹ́ta àwọn ìràwọ̀ ní ojú ọ̀run, ó sì jù wọ́n sí ilẹ̀ ayé, dragoni náà sì dúró níwájú obìnrin náà tí ó fẹ́ bímọ, pé nígbà tí o bá bí i, kí òun lè pa ọmọ rẹ̀ jẹ.
His tail drew a third part of the stars of the sky, and dashed them down to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman about to be delivered, so that he might devour her child when she was delivered.
5 Ó sì bi ọmọkùnrin kan tí yóò fi ọ̀pá irin ṣe àkóso gbogbo àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè, a sì gba ọmọ rẹ̀ lọ sókè sí ọ̀dọ̀ Ọlọ́run, àti sí orí ìtẹ́ rẹ̀.
And she gave birth to a son, a man child, who is to shepherd all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up unto God and unto his throne.
6 Obìnrin náà sì sálọ sí aginjù, níbi tí a gbé ti pèsè ààyè sílẹ̀ dè é láti ọwọ́ Ọlọ́run wá, pé kí wọ́n máa bọ́ ọ níbẹ̀ ní ẹgbẹ̀fà ọjọ́ ó lé ọgọ́ta.
And the woman fled into the desert, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for a thousand two hundred and threescore days.
7 Ogun sì ń bẹ ní ọ̀run: Mikaeli àti àwọn angẹli rẹ̀ bá dragoni náà jagun; dragoni sì jagun àti àwọn angẹli rẹ̀.
And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels went forth to war with the dragon; and the dragon also fought, and his angels;
8 Wọ́n kò sì lè ṣẹ́gun; bẹ́ẹ̀ ni a kò sì rí ipò wọn mọ́ ni ọ̀run.
but they failed, nor was their place found any more in heaven.
9 A sì lé dragoni ńlá náà jáde, ejò láéláé nì, tí a ń pè ni Èṣù, àti Satani, tí ń tan gbogbo ayé jẹ: a sì lé e jù sí ilẹ̀ ayé, a sì lé àwọn angẹli rẹ̀ jáde pẹ̀lú rẹ̀.
Now the great dragon was thrown down - that old Serpent, he who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world. He was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.
10 Mo sì gbọ́ ohùn ńlá ní ọ̀run, wí pè: “Nígbà yìí ni ìgbàlà dé, àti agbára, àti ìjọba Ọlọ́run wá, àti ọlá àti Kristi rẹ̀. Nítorí a tí le olùfisùn àwọn arákùnrin wa jáde, tí o ń fi wọ́n sùn níwájú Ọlọ́run wa lọ́sàn án àti lóru.
And I heard a great voice in heaven, which said. "Now it is come! the salvation and the power, The kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ! For the accuser of our brethren is thrown down, Who accused them before our God, day and night.
11 Wọ́n sì ti ṣẹ́gun rẹ̀ nítorí ẹ̀jẹ̀ ọ̀dọ́-àgùntàn náà, àti nítorí ọ̀rọ̀ ẹ̀rí wọn, wọn kò sì fẹ́ràn ẹ̀mí wọn àní títí dé ikú.
And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb, And by the word of their testimony; And they loved not their life, even unto death.
12 Nítorí náà ẹ máa yọ̀, ẹ̀yin ọ̀run, àti ẹ̀yin tí ń gbé inú wọn. Ègbé ni fún ayé àti Òkun; nítorí èṣù sọ̀kalẹ̀ tọ̀ yín wá ní ìbínú ńlá, nítorí ó mọ̀ pé ìgbà kúkúrú sá ni òun ní.”
Therefore rejoice, O heavens, And you who dwell therein! Woe to the earth and the sea! For the devil has gone down to you in great fury, Because he knows that he has but little time."
13 Nígbà tí dragoni náà rí pé a lé òun lọ sí ilẹ̀ ayé, ó ṣe inúnibíni sì obìnrin tí ó bí ọmọkùnrin náà.
When the dragon saw that he was hurled down to the earth, he pursued the woman who gave birth to the man child.
14 A sì fi apá ìyẹ́ méjì tí idì ńlá náà fún obìnrin náà, pé kí ó fò lọ sí aginjù, sí ipò rẹ̀, níbi tí a ó gbe bọ ọ fún àkókò kan àti fún àwọn àkókò, àti fún ìdajì àkókò kúrò lọ́dọ̀ ejò náà.
But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle, so that she might fly into the desert to her place where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.
15 Ejò náà sì tu omi jáde láti ẹnu rẹ̀ wá bí odò ńlá sẹ́yìn obìnrin náà, kí ó lè fi ìṣàn omi náà gbà á lọ.
And the serpent poured water from his mouth after the woman, water like a river, so that he might cause her to be carried off by the stream.
16 Ilẹ̀ sì ran obìnrin náà lọ́wọ́, ilẹ̀ sì ya ẹnu rẹ̀, ó sì fi ìṣàn omi náà mú, tí dragoni náà tu jáde láti ẹnu rẹ̀ wá.
But the earth came to the rescue of the woman and the earth opened her mouth and swallowed up the river that the dragon had poured forth from his mouth.
17 Dragoni náà sì bínú gidigidi sí obìnrin náà, ó sì lọ bá àwọn irú-ọmọ rẹ̀ ìyókù jagun, tí wọ́n ń pa òfin Ọlọ́run mọ̀, tí wọn sì di ẹ̀rí Jesu mú, Ó sì dúró lórí iyanrìn Òkun.
And the dragon was enraged at the woman, and went away to make war upon the rest of her children who keep the commandments of God, and hold fast the testimony of Jesus. And he stood upon the sand of the sea.
