< Psalms 97 >

1 Olúwa jẹ ọba, jẹ́ kí ayé kí ó yọ̀ jẹ́ kí inú ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ erékùṣù kí ó dùn.
This is to David, when his land was restored to him. The Lord has reigned, let the earth exult. Let the many islands rejoice.
2 Ojú ọ̀run àti òkùnkùn yíká òdodo àti ìdájọ́ ni ó ṣe ìpilẹ̀ṣẹ̀ ìtẹ́ rẹ̀.
Clouds and mist are all around him. Justice and judgment are corrections from his throne.
3 Iná ń jó níwájú rẹ̀. Ó sì ń jó àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ yíkákiri.
A fire will precede him, and it will enflame his enemies all around.
4 Ìmọ́lẹ̀ rẹ̀ tàn ó sì kárí ayé ayé rí i ó sì wárìrì.
His lightnings have enlightened the whole world. The earth saw, and it was shaken.
5 Òkè gíga yọ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí ìda níwájú Olúwa, níwájú Olúwa gbogbo ayé.
The mountains flowed like wax before the face of the Lord, before the face of the Lord of all the earth.
6 Àwọn ọ̀run ròyìn òdodo rẹ̀, gbogbo ènìyàn sì rí ògo rẹ̀.
The heavens announced his justice, and all peoples saw his glory.
7 Gbogbo àwọn tí ń sin ère fínfín ni ojú yóò tì, àwọn tí ń fi ère gbéraga, ẹ máa sìn ín, gbogbo ẹ̀yin ọlọ́run!
May all those who adore graven images be confounded, along with those who glory in their false images. All you his Angels: Adore him.
8 Sioni gbọ́, inú rẹ̀ sì dùn inú àwọn ilé Juda sì dùn, nítorí ìdájọ́ rẹ, Olúwa.
Zion heard, and was glad. And the daughters of Judah exulted because of your judgments, O Lord.
9 Nítorí pé ìwọ, Olúwa, ni ó ga ju gbogbo ayé lọ ìwọ ni ó ga ju gbogbo òrìṣà lọ.
For you are the Most High Lord over all the earth. You are greatly exalted above all gods.
10 Jẹ kí gbogbo àwọn tí ó fẹ́ Olúwa, kórìíra ibi, ó pa ọkàn àwọn ènìyàn mímọ́ rẹ̀ mọ́ ó gbà wọ́n ní ọwọ́ àwọn ènìyàn búburú.
You who love the Lord: hate evil. The Lord watches over the souls of his holy ones. He will free them from the hand of the sinner.
11 Ìmọ́lẹ̀ tàn sórí àwọn olódodo àti ayọ̀ nínú àlàyé ọkàn.
The light has risen for the just, and joy for the upright of heart.
12 Ẹ yọ̀ nínú Olúwa, ẹ̀yin tí ẹ jẹ́ olódodo, kí ẹ sì yin orúkọ rẹ̀ mímọ́.
Rejoice in the Lord, you just ones, and confess to the memory of his sanctuary.
