< Psalms 92 >

1 Saamu. Orin. Fún Ọjọ́ Ìsinmi. Ohun rere ni láti máa fi ọpẹ́ fún Olúwa àti láti máa kọrin sí orúkọ rẹ̀, Ọ̀gá-ògo,
Yahweh, it is good for people to thank you and to sing to praise you [MTY] who are greater than any other god.
2 láti kéde ìfẹ́ rẹ̀ ní òwúrọ̀ àti òtítọ́ rẹ̀ ní alẹ́,
It is good to proclaim every morning that you faithfully love us, and each night [to sing songs that] declare that you always do what you have promised to do,
3 lára ohùn èlò orin olókùn mẹ́wàá àti lára ohun èlò orin haapu.
accompanied by [musicians playing] harps that have ten strings, and by the sounds made by a lyre.
4 Nítorí ìwọ ni ó mú inú mi dùn nípa iṣẹ́ rẹ Olúwa; èmi kọrin ayọ̀ sí iṣẹ́ ọwọ́ rẹ.
Yahweh, you have caused me to be glad; I sing joyfully because of what you [SYN] have done.
5 Báwo ni iṣẹ́ rẹ tí tóbi tó, Olúwa? Èrò inú rẹ ìjìnlẹ̀ ni!
Yahweh, the things that you do are great! But it is difficult for us to understand [all] that you think.
6 Òpè ènìyàn kò mọ̀ ọ́n, aṣiwèrè kò sì mọ̀ ọ́n,
There are things [that you do] that foolish people cannot know about, things that stupid people cannot understand.
7 nígbà tí àwọn ènìyàn búburú bá rú jáde bí i koríko àti gbogbo àwọn olùṣe búburú gbèrú, wọn yóò run láéláé.
They do not understand that although the number of wicked [people] increases [like blades of] grass do [SIM], and they prosper, they will be completely destroyed.
8 Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ Olúwa ni a ó gbéga títí láé.
But Yahweh, you [will] exalted/be honored/rule) forever.
9 Nítorí nítòótọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ, Olúwa, nítòótọ́ àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ yóò ṣègbé; gbogbo àwọn olùṣe búburú ni a ó fọ́nká.
Yahweh, your enemies will [certainly] die, and those who do wicked things will be defeated/scattered.
10 Ìwọ ti gbé ìwo mi ga bí i ti màlúù igbó; òróró dídára ni a dà sí mi ní orí.
But you have caused me to be as strong [MTY] as [SIM] a wild ox; you have caused me to be very joyful [MTY].
11 Ojú mi ti rí ìṣubú àwọn ọ̀tá mi; ìparun sí àwọn ènìyàn búburú tí ó dìde sí mi.
I [SYN] have seen you defeat my enemies; d I have heard those evil men wail/scream while they were being slaughtered.
12 Olódodo yóò gbèrú bí i igi ọ̀pẹ, wọn yóò dàgbà bí i igi kedari Lebanoni,
But righteous [people] will prosper like [SIM] palm trees that grow well, or like [SIM] cedar [trees] that grow in Lebanon.
13 tí a gbìn sí ilé Olúwa, Wọn yóò rúwé nínú àgbàlá Ọlọ́run wa.
[They are like the trees] that grow near the temple of Yahweh [in Jerusalem], those trees that are close to the courtyard of the temple of our God.
14 Wọn yóò máa so èso ní ìgbà ogbó, wọn yóò dúró ní àkọ̀tun, wọn yóò sì tutù nini,
[Even] when righteous people become old, they do many things [IDM] [that please God]. They remain strong and full of energy, [like trees that] [MET] remain full of sap.
15 láti fihàn pé, “Ẹni ìdúró ṣinṣin ni Olúwa; òun ni àpáta mi, kò sì ṣí aburú kankan nínú rẹ̀.”
That shows that Yahweh is just; he is [like a huge] rock [under which I am safe/protected], and he never does anything that is wicked/wrong.
