< Psalms 87 >
1 Ti àwọn ọmọ Kora. Saamu. Orin. Ó ti fi ìpìlẹ̀ rẹ̀ sọlẹ̀ sórí òkè mímọ́;
A song. A psalm of the descendants of Korah. The Lord founded the city on his holy mountain.
2 Olúwa fẹ́ràn ẹnu-ọ̀nà Sioni ju gbogbo ibùgbé Jakọbu lọ.
Jerusalem is the city that the Lord loves more than any other city in Israel.
3 Ohun ológo ni a sọ nípa rẹ̀, ìlú Ọlọ́run,
Many wonderful things are said of you, city of God! (Selah)
4 “Èmi ó dárúkọ Rahabu àti Babeli láàrín àwọn tí ó jẹ́wọ́ mi: Filistia pẹ̀lú, àti Tire, pẹ̀lú Kuṣi, yóò sọ pé, ‘Èyí ni a bí ní Sioni.’”
I mention Egypt and Babylon as those who know me, and in addition Philistia, Tyre, and Ethiopia—“this man was born there.”
5 Nítòótọ́, ti Sioni ni a ó sọ, “Eléyìí àti eléyìí ni a bí nínú rẹ̀, àti Ọlọ́run Ọ̀gá-ògo ni yóò fìdí rẹ̀ múlẹ̀.”
It will be said concerning Jerusalem, “Everyone was born there,” and the Most High will make it secure.
6 Olúwa yóò kọ nínú àkọsílẹ̀ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀: “Eléyìí ni a bí ní Sioni.”
When the Lord registers the nations, he will write, “They were born there.” (Selah)
7 Àti àwọn olórin àti àwọn tí ń lu ohun èlò orin yóò wí pé, “Gbogbo orísun mi ń bẹ nínú rẹ.”
Singers and dancers alike say, “Living here I am at home.”
