< Psalms 76 >
1 Fún adarí orin. Pẹ̀lú ohun èlò orin olókùn. Saamu ti Asafu. Orin. Ní Juda ni a mọ Ọlọ́run; orúkọ rẹ̀ sì lágbára ní Israẹli
Unto the end. With Praises. A Psalm of Asaph. A Canticle to the Assyrians. In Judea, God is known. In Israel, his name is great.
2 Àgọ́ rẹ̀ wà ní Salẹmu, ibùgbé rẹ̀ ni Sioni.
And his place has been formed with peace. And his dwelling place is in Zion.
3 Níbẹ̀ ni ó ṣẹ́ ọfà, asà àti àwọn idà, ohun ìjà ogun. (Sela)
In that place, he has broken the powers of the bows, the shield, the sword, and the battle.
4 Ìwọ ni ògo àti ọlá, ju òkè ńlá ìkógun wọ̀nyí lọ.
You illuminate wondrously from the mountains of eternity.
5 A kó àwọn alágídí ọkàn ní ìkógun wọ́n sun oorun ìgbẹ̀yìn wọn; kò sí ọ̀kan nínú àwọn akọni tó lè gbé ọwọ́ rẹ̀ sókè.
All the foolish of heart have been disturbed. They have slept their sleep, and all the men of riches have found nothing in their hands.
6 Ní ìfibú rẹ, Ọlọ́run Jakọbu, àwọn ẹṣin àti kẹ̀kẹ́ ogun sì dùbúlẹ̀ síbẹ̀.
At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, those who were mounted on horseback have fallen asleep.
7 Ìwọ nìkan ni ó yẹ kí a bẹ̀rù. Ta ló lé dúró níwájú rẹ, nígbà tí ìwọ bá ń bínú?
You are terrible, and so, who can withstand you? From thence is your wrath.
8 Ìwọ ń ṣe ìdájọ́ láti ọ̀run, ilé ayé bẹ̀rù, ó sì dúró jẹ́ẹ́,
You have caused judgment to be heard from heaven. The earth trembled and was quieted,
9 nígbà tí, ìwọ Ọlọ́run, bá dìde láti ṣe ìdájọ́, láti gba àwọn ẹni ìnilára ilẹ̀ náà. (Sela)
when God rose up in judgment in order to bring salvation to all the meek of the earth.
10 Lóòótọ́, ìbínú rẹ sí àwọn ènìyàn ń mú ìyìn wá fún ọ, ẹni tí ó yọ nínú ìbínú rẹ ní a dá nígbà tí ìwọ bá fi ìbínú ìyókù di ara rẹ ni àmùrè.
For the thinking of man will confess to you, and the legacy of his thinking will keep a feast day to you.
11 Jẹ́ ẹ̀jẹ́ sí Olúwa Ọlọ́run rẹ kí o sì mú un ṣẹ; kí gbogbo àwọn tí ó yí i ká mú ẹ̀bùn wá fún ẹni tí ó tọ́ láti bẹ̀rù.
Make vows and pay them to the Lord, your God. All you who surround him bring gifts: to him who is terrible,
12 Ó ké ẹ̀mí àwọn aládé kúrò; àwọn ọba ayé sì ń bẹ̀rù rẹ̀.
even to him who takes away the spirit of leaders, to him who is terrible with the kings of the earth.
