< Psalms 75 >
1 Fún adarí orin. Tí ohùn, “Má ṣe parun.” Saamu ti Asafu. Orin. A fi ìyìn fún ọ, Ọlọ́run, a yìn ọ́, nítorí orúkọ rẹ súnmọ́ tòsí; àwọn ènìyàn ń sọ ti ìyanu rẹ.
For the Chief Musician. To the tune of “Do Not Destroy.” A Psalm by Asaph. A song. We give thanks to you, God. We give thanks, for your Name is near. Men tell about your wondrous works.
2 Ìwọ wí pé, “Mo yan àkókò ìyàsọ́tọ̀; Èmi ni ẹni tí ń ṣe ìdájọ́ òdodo.
When I choose the appointed time, I will judge blamelessly.
3 Nígbà tí ayé àti àwọn ènìyàn ibẹ̀ wárìrì, Èmi ni mo di òpó rẹ̀ mú ṣinṣin.
The earth and all its inhabitants quake. I firmly hold its pillars. (Selah)
4 Èmí wí fún àwọn agbéraga pé, ẹ má ṣe gbéraga mọ́; àti sí ènìyàn búburú; ẹ má ṣe gbé ìwo yín sókè.
I said to the arrogant, “Do not boast!” I said to the wicked, “Do not lift up the horn.
5 Ẹ má ṣe gbe ìwo yín sókè sí ọ̀run; ẹ má ṣe sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ̀lú ọrùn líle.”
Do not lift up your horn on high. Do not speak with a stiff neck.”
6 Nítorí ìgbéga kò ti ìlà-oòrùn wá tàbí ní ìwọ̀-oòrùn, bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kì í ṣe láti gúúsù wá.
For neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation.
7 Ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run ni olùdájọ́; Ó ń rẹ ẹnìkan sílẹ̀, ó sì ń gbé ẹlòmíràn ga.
But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another.
8 Ní ọwọ́ Olúwa ni ago kan wà, ọtí wáìnì náà sì pọ́n, ó kún fún àdàlú, ó fún ọtí àdàlú tí a pò mọ́ òórùn dídùn tí ó tú jáde, àwọn ènìyàn búburú ayé gbogbo mú u pátápátá.
For in the LORD’s hand there is a cup, full of foaming wine mixed with spices. He pours it out. Indeed the wicked of the earth drink and drink it to its very dregs.
9 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi, ó máa ròyìn rẹ títí láé; èmi ó kọrin ìyìn sí Ọlọ́run Jakọbu.
But I will declare this forever: I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.
10 Èmi ó gé ìwo gbogbo ènìyàn búburú, ṣùgbọ́n ìwo àwọn olódodo ni a ó gbéga.
I will cut off all the horns of the wicked, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up.
