< Psalms 72 >
1 Ti Solomoni. Fi ìdájọ́ fún àwọn ọba, Ọlọ́run, ọmọ-aládé ni ìwọ fi òdodo rẹ fún.
Solomon’s. O God! thy justice, give, unto the king, And thy righteousness, unto the son of a king;
2 Yóò ṣe ìdájọ́ àwọn ènìyàn rẹ̀ pẹ̀lú òdodo, yóò sì máa fi ẹ̀tọ́ ṣe ìdájọ́ àwọn tálákà rẹ̀.
May he judge, Thy people with righteousness; And thine oppressed ones with justice;
3 Àwọn òkè ńlá yóò máa mú àlàáfíà fún àwọn ènìyàn àti òkè kéékèèké nípa òdodo.
May the mountains bring peace to the people, And the hills [be laden] with righteousness;
4 Yóò dáàbò bo àwọn tí a pọ́n lójú láàrín àwọn ènìyàn yóò gba àwọn ọmọ aláìní; yóò sì fa àwọn aninilára ya.
May he, Vindicate the oppressed of the people, Bring deliverance to the children of the needy, and, Crush the oppressor.
5 Àwọn òtòṣì àti aláìní yóò máa fi ọ̀wọ̀ ńlá fún ọ nígbà gbogbo, níwọ̀n ìgbà tí oòrùn àti òṣùpá bá ń ràn, yóò ti pẹ́ tó, láti ìrandíran.
Let men revere thee, With the sun, And in presence of the moon, Unto the remotest generation.
6 Yóò dàbí òjò tí ó ń rọ̀ sórí pápá ìrẹ́mọ́lẹ̀, bí ọwọ́ òjò tó ń rin ilẹ̀.
Let him come down, Like rain on fields to be mown, Like myriad drops on land to be reaped.
7 Àwọn olódodo yóò gbilẹ̀ ni ọjọ́ rẹ̀ ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ àlàáfíà yóò sì wà; títí tí òṣùpá kò fi ní sí mọ́.
May righteousness, in his days, blossom forth, And abundance of peace, till there be no moon.
8 Yóò máa jẹ ọba láti òkun dé òkun àti láti odò Eufurate títí dé òpin ayé.
So let him have dominion, From sea to sea, And from the River ["Euphrates"] unto the ends of the earth;
9 Àwọn tí ó wà ní aginjù yóò tẹríba fún un àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ̀ yóò máa lá erùpẹ̀ ilẹ̀.
Before him, let the men of the desert kneel, But, as for his foes, the dust, let them lick;
10 Àwọn ọba Tarṣiṣi àti ti erékùṣù wọn yóò mú ọrẹ wá fún un; àwọn ọba Ṣeba àti Seba wọn ó mú ẹ̀bùn wá fún un.
The kings of Tarshish and of the Coastlands, A gift, let them render, The kings of Sheba and Seba, A present, let them bring;
11 Gbogbo ọba yóò tẹríba fún un àti gbogbo orílẹ̀-èdè yóò sìn ín.
Yea let all kings, bow down unto him, Let, all nations, serve him;
12 Nítorí yóò gba àwọn aláìní nígbà tí ó bá ń ké, tálákà àti ẹni tí kò ní olùrànlọ́wọ́.
Because he Rescueth, The needy from the rich, The oppressed, who hath no helper;
13 Yóò káàánú àwọn aláìlera àti aláìní yóò pa aláìní mọ́ kúrò nínú ikú.
He Pitieth the weak and the needy, And, the lives of the needy, he Saveth:
14 Yóò ra ọkàn wọn padà lọ́wọ́ ẹ̀tàn àti ipá nítorí ẹ̀jẹ̀ wọn ṣọ̀wọ́n níwájú rẹ̀.
From extortion, and, violence, he Redeemeth their life, And precious is their blood in his sight.
15 Yóò sì pẹ́ ní ayé! A ó sì fún un ní wúrà Ṣeba. Àwọn ènìyàn yóò sì máa gbàdúrà fún un nígbà gbogbo kí a sì bùkún fún un lójoojúmọ́.
Let him live, then! And be there given unto him of the gold of Sheba, —Let prayer also be offered for him continually, All the day, let him be blessed.
16 Kí ìkúnwọ́ ọkà wà lórí ilẹ̀; ní orí òkè ni kí ó máa dàgbà kí èso rẹ̀ kí o gbilẹ̀ bí ti Lebanoni yóò máa gbá yìn bí i koríko ilẹ̀.
May there be an abundance of corn in the earth, in the top of the mountains, —Let the fruit thereof, wave like Lebanon, And they of the city bloom like the fresh shoots of the earth.
17 Kí orúkọ rẹ̀ kí ó wà títí láé; orúkọ rẹ̀ yóò máa gbilẹ̀ níwọ̀n bí oòrùn yóò ti pẹ́ tó. Wọn ó sì máa bùkún fún ara wọn nípasẹ̀ rẹ. Gbogbo àwọn orílẹ̀-èdè ní yóò máa pè mí ní alábùkún fún.
May his Name be age-abiding, In the presence of the sun, let his Name flourish, —And may all the families of the ground bless themselves in him, All nations, pronounce him happy!
18 Olùbùkún ni Olúwa Ọlọ́run, Ọlọ́run Israẹli, ẹnìkan ṣoṣo tí ó ń ṣe ohun ìyanu.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, —Who doeth wondrous things by himself alone;
19 Olùbùkún ni orúkọ rẹ̀ tí ó lógo títí láé; kí gbogbo ayé kún fún ògo rẹ̀.
And blessed be his glorious Name, unto times age-abiding, —And filled with his glory be all the earth, Amen and Amen!
20 Èyí ni ìparí àdúrà Dafidi ọmọ Jese.
