< Psalms 64 >

1 Fún adarí orin. Saamu ti Dafidi. Gbóhùn mi, Ọlọ́run, bí mo ti ń sọ àròyé mi pa ọkàn mi mọ́ kúrò lọ́wọ́ ẹ̀rù àwọn ọ̀tá.
God, listen to me as I tell you the things that I am worried about. I am afraid of my enemies; so save/rescue me from them.
2 Pa mí mọ́ kúrò lọ́wọ́ ìmọ̀ ìkọ̀kọ̀ àwọn ènìyàn búburú kúrò nínú ọ̀pọ̀ igbe lọ́wọ́ ìrúkèrúdò oníṣẹ́ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀.
Protect me from what wicked men are planning to do to me; protect me from that gang of men who do what is evil.
3 Wọ́n pọ́n ahọ́n wọn bí idà, wọ́n sì fa ọrun wọn le láti tafà wọn, àní ọ̀rọ̀ kíkorò.
The hostile things they say [MTY] are like [SIM] [sharp] swords; their cruel words are like [SIM] arrows.
4 Wọ́n tafà ní ìkọ̀kọ̀ sí àwọn aláìlẹ́ṣẹ̀: wọ́n tafà si lójijì, wọn kò sì bẹ̀rù.
Without being afraid, they [lie about people and slander people] who have not done what is wrong, like someone who suddenly jumps up from where he is hiding and shoots [arrows] at his enemy [MET].
5 Wọ́n, gba ara wọn níyànjú nínú èrò búburú, wọ́n sọ̀rọ̀ lórí dídẹkùn sílẹ̀ ní ìkọ̀kọ̀ wọ́n wí pé, “Ta ni yóò rí wa?”
They encourage each other about doing the evil things that they are planning to do; they talk [with each other] about where they can set traps to catch people, and they think, “No one [RHQ] will see what we are doing,
6 Wọ́n gbìmọ̀ àìṣòdodo, wọ́n wí pé, “A wa ti parí èrò tí a gbà tán!” Lóòótọ́ àyà àti ọkàn ènìyàn kún fún àrékérekè.
because we have planned very well the crime that we are going to commit!” No one can fully understand what people can think and plan!
7 Ṣùgbọ́n Ọlọ́run yóò ta wọ́n ní ọfà; wọn ó sì gbọgbẹ́ lójijì.
But [it will be as though] God will shoot his arrows at them, and suddenly they will be wounded.
8 Ahọ́n wọn yóò sì dojú ìjà kọ wọ́n, yóò sì run wọ́n, gbogbo ẹni tí ó bá rí wọn yóò sì mi orí fún wọn.
Because of what they say [MTY], he will get rid of them, and then everyone who sees [what has happened to] them will shake their heads [to ridicule them].
9 Gbogbo ènìyàn yóò máa bẹ̀rù wọn ó kéde iṣẹ́ Ọlọ́run wọn ó dúró lé ohun tí ó ṣe.
And then everyone will be afraid [to sin because of what might happen to them, also]; they will tell others what God has done, and they themselves will think much about it.
10 Jẹ́ kí olódodo kí ó yọ̀ nínú Olúwa yóò sì rí ààbò nínú rẹ̀. Gbogbo ẹni ìdúró ṣinṣin ní ọkàn yóò máa yìn ín.
Righteous people should rejoice because of what Yahweh [has done]; they should go to him to (find protection/be safe); and all those who are godly will praise him.
