< Psalms 60 >
1 Fún adarí orin. Tí ohùn “Lílì ti Májẹ̀mú.” Miktamu ti Dafidi. Fún ìkọ́ni. Nígbà tí ó bá Aramu-Naharaimu àti Siria-Soba jà, àti nígbà tí Joabu yípadà tí ó sì pa ẹgbẹ̀rún méjìlá àwọn ará Edomu ní àfonífojì Iyọ̀. Ìwọ ti kọ̀ wá sílẹ̀, Ọlọ́run, ìwọ ti tú wa ká, ìwọ ti bínú nísinsin yìí, tún ara rẹ yípadà sí wa.
[For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "The Lily of the Covenant." A teaching poem by David, when he fought with Aram Naharaim and with Aram Zobah, and Joab returned, and killed twelve thousand of Edom in the Valley of Salt.] God, you have rejected us. You have broken us down. You have been angry. Restore us, again.
2 Ìwọ ti mú ilẹ̀ wárìrì, ìwọ ti fọ́ ọ; mú fífọ́ rẹ̀ bọ̀ sípò, nítorí tí ó mì.
You have made the land tremble. You have torn it. Mend its fractures, for it quakes.
3 Ìwọ ti fi ìgbà ewu han àwọn ènìyàn rẹ; ìwọ fún wa ní wáìnì tí ó máa ń ta wá gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n.
You have shown your people hard things. You have made us drink the wine that makes us stagger.
4 Àwọn tí ó bẹ̀rù rẹ̀, ní ìwọ fi ọ̀págun fún kí a lè fihàn nítorí òtítọ́. (Sela)
You have given a banner to those who fear you, that it may be displayed because of the truth. (Selah)
5 Fi ọwọ́ ọ̀tún rẹ gbà wá, kí o sì ràn wá lọ́wọ́, kí a lè gba àwọn tí o fẹ́ là.
So that your beloved may be delivered, save with your right hand and answer me.
6 Ọlọ́run ti sọ̀rọ̀ láti ibi mímọ́ rẹ̀: “Ní ayọ̀, èmi ó pọ Ṣekemu jáde èmi ó sì wọ́n àfonífojì Sukkoti.
God has spoken from his sanctuary: "I will triumph. I will divide Shechem, and measure out the Valley of Succoth.
7 Tèmi ni Gileadi, tèmi sì ni Manase; Efraimu ni àṣíborí mi, Juda sì ni ọ̀pá àṣẹ mi.
Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine. Ephraim also is the defense of my head. Judah is my scepter.
8 Moabu ní ìkòkò ìwẹsẹ̀ mi, lórí Edomu ní mo bọ́ bàtà mi sí; lórí Filistia ni mo kígbe ayọ̀.”
Moab is my wash basin. I will throw my shoe on Edom. I shout in triumph over Philistia."
9 Ta ni yóò mú mi wá sí ìlú olódi nì? Ta ni yóò tọ́ mí lọ sí Edomu?
Who will bring me into the strong city? Who will lead me to Edom?
10 Kì í ha ń ṣe ìwọ, Ọlọ́run, tí ó ti kọ̀ wá sílẹ̀ tí o kò sì bá ogun wa jáde mọ́?
Haven't you, God, rejected us? You do not go out with our armies, God.
11 Fún wa ní ìrànlọ́wọ́ lórí àwọn ọ̀tá, nítorí asán ni ìrànlọ́wọ́ ènìyàn.
Give us help against the adversary, for the help of man is vain.
12 Nípa Ọlọ́run ni a óò ní ìṣẹ́gun, yóò sì tẹ àwọn ọ̀tá wa mọ́lẹ̀.
Through God we shall do valiantly, for it is he who will tread down our adversaries.
