< Psalms 6 >
1 Fún adarí orin. Fún ohun èlò orin olókùn. Gẹ́gẹ́ bí ti ṣeminiti. Saamu ti Dafidi. Olúwa, má ṣe bá mi wí nínú ìbínú rẹ kí ìwọ má ṣe nà mí nínú gbígbóná ìrunú rẹ.
To the Chief Musician, with stringed Instruments upon the eighth. A Melody of David. O Yahweh! do not, in thine anger, correct me, nor, in thy wrath, chastise me.
2 Ṣàánú fún mi, Olúwa, nítorí èmi ń kú lọ; Olúwa, wò mí sán, nítorí egungun mi wà nínú ìnira.
Show me favour, O Yahweh, for languishing am I: Heal me, O Yahweh, —for dismayed are my bones:
3 Ọkàn mi wà nínú ìrora. Yóò ti pẹ́ tó, Olúwa, yóò ti pẹ́ tó?
Yea, my soul, is dismayed greatly, Thou, then, O Yahweh—how long?
4 Yípadà, Olúwa, kí o sì gbà mí; gbà mí là nípa ìfẹ́ rẹ tí kì í ṣákì í.
Return, O Yahweh, deliver my soul, Save me, for the sake of thy lovingkindness;
5 Ẹnikẹ́ni kò ni rántí rẹ nígbà tí ó bá kú. Ta ni yóò yìn ọ́ láti inú isà òkú? (Sheol )
For, in death, is no remembrance of thee, —In hades, who shall give thanks unto thee? (Sheol )
6 Agara ìkérora mi dá mi tán. Gbogbo òru ni mo wẹ ibùsùn mi pẹ̀lú ẹkún, mo sì fi omi rin ibùsùn mi pẹ̀lú omijé.
I am weary with my sighing, I flood, through the whole night, my couch, —With my tears, I cause, my bed, to dissolve:
7 Ojú mi di aláìlera pẹ̀lú ìbànújẹ́; wọ́n kùnà nítorí gbogbo ọ̀tá mi.
My face, is all sunken with sorrow, —it hath aged, because of all mine adversaries.
8 Kúrò lọ́dọ̀ mi, gbogbo ẹ̀yin tí ń ṣe iṣẹ́ ibi, nítorí Olúwa ti gbọ́ igbe mi.
Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity, for Yahweh hath heard the voice of my weeping:
9 Olúwa ti gbọ́ ẹkún mi fún àánú; Olúwa ti gba àdúrà mi.
Yahweh, hath heard my supplication, Yahweh, will receive, my prayer.
10 Gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá mi lójú yóò tì, wọn yóò sì dààmú; wọn yóò sì yípadà nínú ìtìjú àìròtẹ́lẹ̀.
Let all my foes, turn pale and be greatly dismayed, Again let them turn pale in a moment.
