< Psalms 5 >

1 Fún adarí orin. Fún ohun èlò orin fífọn. Saamu ti Dafidi. Fi etí sí ọ̀rọ̀ mi, Olúwa, kíyèsi àròyé mi.
“To the chief musician upon Nechiloth, a psalm of David.” To my words give ear, O Lord, have regard to my mediation.
2 Fi etí sílẹ̀ sí igbe mi fún ìrànlọ́wọ́, ọba mi àti Ọlọ́run mi, nítorí ìwọ ni mo gba àdúrà sí.
Listen unto the voice of my loud cry, my King, and my God, when unto thee I pray.
3 Ní òwúrọ̀, Olúwa, ìwọ yóò gbọ́ ohùn mi; ní òwúrọ̀, èmi yóò gbé ẹ̀bẹ̀ mi sí iwájú rẹ̀ èmi yóò sì dúró ní ìrètí.
O Lord! in the morning do thou hear my voice: in the morning will I set in order [my prayer] before thee, and 1ook up with hope.
4 Nítorí ìwọ kì í ṣe Ọlọ́run tí ó ní inú dídùn sí búburú; bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ẹni ibi kò le è bá ọ gbé.
For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: evil cannot abide with thee.
5 Àwọn agbéraga kò le è dúró níwájú rẹ̀. Ìwọ kórìíra gbogbo àwọn aṣebi;
The arrogant cannot stand up before thy eyes: thou hatest all workers of wickedness.
6 ìwọ yóò pa àwọn tí ń ṣe èké run. Apani àti ẹni ẹ̀tàn ènìyàn ni Olúwa yóò kórìíra.
Thou wilt destroy those that speak lies: the man of blood and deceit the Lord abhorreth.
7 Ṣùgbọ́n èmi, nípa títóbi àánú rẹ̀, èmi yóò wá sínú ilé rẹ̀; ní tọ̀wọ̀tọ̀wọ̀ ni èmi yóò tẹríba sí ìhà tẹmpili mímọ́ rẹ̀.
But as for me—in the abundance of thy kindness will I enter thy house: I will bow myself down before thy holy temple in the fear of thee.
8 Tọ́ mi, Olúwa, nínú òdodo rẹ, nítorí àwọn ọ̀tá mi, mú ọ̀nà rẹ tọ́ níwájú mi.
O Lord, lead me in thy righteousness because of those that regard me enviously; make straight before me thy way.
9 Kò sí ọ̀rọ̀ kan ní ẹnu wọn tí a lè gbàgbọ́; ọkàn wọn kún fún ìparun. Ọ̀nà ọ̀fun wọn ni isà òkú tí ó ṣí sílẹ̀; pẹ̀lú ahọ́n wọn ni wọ́n ń sọ ẹ̀tàn.
For there is not in their mouth any sincerity; their inward part is full of deception; an open sepulchre is their throat: they flatter with their tongue.
10 Dá wọn lẹ́bi Ọlọ́run! Jẹ́ kí rìkíṣí wọn jẹ́ ìṣubú wọn. Lé wọn jáde nítorí ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ wọn, nítorí wọ́n ti ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọ.
Condemn them, O God: let them fall through their own counsels; for the multitude of their transgressions cast them down; for they have rebelled against thee.
11 Ṣùgbọ́n, jẹ́ kí gbogbo àwọn tí ó sádi ọ́ kí ó yọ̀; jẹ kí wọn máa kọrin fún ayọ̀ títí. Tan ààbò rẹ sórí wọn, àti àwọn tí ó fẹ́ràn orúkọ rẹ yóò máa yọ̀ nínú rẹ.
Then will rejoice all those that put their trust in thee; for ever will they shout for joy, when thou protectest them: and then will exult in thee those that love thy name.
12 Dájúdájú, Olúwa, ìwọ bùkún olódodo; ìwọ fi ojúrere rẹ yí wọn ká bí asà.
For thou wilt bless the righteous, O Lord; as with a shield wilt thou encompass him with favor.
